| 51 | الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نَنسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَـٰذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ |
| Transliteration 51: | Allatheena ittakhathoo deenahum lahwan walaAAiban wagharrathumu alhayatu alddunya faalyawma nansahum kama nasoo liqaa yawmihim hatha wama kanoo biayatina yajhadoona |
| Yusuf Ali 51: | "Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs. |
| Shakir 51: | Who take their religion for an idle sport and a play and this life's world deceives them; so today We forsake them, as they neglected the meeting of this day of theirs and as they denied Our communications. |
| Pickthal 51: | Who took their religion for a sport and pastime, and whom the life of the world beguiled. So this day We have forgotten them even as they forgot the meeting of this their Day and as they used to deny Our tokens. |
| Mohsin Khan: 51: | "Who took their religion as an amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them." So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations). |

Maka pada hari (kiamat) ini, Kami melupakan mereka sebagaimana mereka melupakan pertemuan mereka dengan hari ini, dan (sebagaimana) mereka selalu mengingkari ayat-ayat Kami. |
| Melayu 51: | (Tuhan berfirman: Orang-orang kafir itu ialah) orang-orang yang menjadikan perkara-perkara agama mereka sebagai hiburan yang melalaikan dan permainan dan orang-orang yang telah terpedaya dengan kehidupan dunia (segala kemewahannya dan kelazatannya). Oleh itu, pada hari ini (hari kiamat), Kami lupakan (tidak hiraukan) mereka sebagaimana mereka telah lupa (tidak hiraukan persiapan-persiapan untuk) menemui hari mereka ini dan juga kerana mereka selalu mengingkari ayat-ayat keterangan Kami. |
| German 51: | ""die ihre Religion als Zerstreuung betrachteten und ihr Spiel mit ihr trieben und vom irdischen Leben betört waren."" An diesem Tage nun vergessen Wir sie, wie sie die Begegnung an diesem ihrem Tage vergaßen und wie sie Unsere Zeichen zu leugnen pflegten. |
| Russian 51: | которые обратили свою религию в потеху и игру и обольстились мирской жизнью». Сегодня Мы предадим их забвению, подобно тому, как они предали забвению встречу в этот день и отвергли Наши знамения. |

| Transliteration 52: | Walaqad jinahum bikitabin fassalnahu AAala AAilmin hudan warahmatan liqawmin yuminoona |
| Yusuf Ali 52: | For We had certainly sent unto them a Book, based on knowledge, which We explained in detail,- a guide and a mercy to all who believe. |
| Shakir 52: | And certainly We have brought them a Book which We have made clear with knowledge, a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. |

| 53 | هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأْوِيلَهُ ۚ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِن قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ فَهَل لَّنَا مِن شُفَعَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا لَنَا أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
| Transliteration 53: | Hal yanthuroona illa taweelahu yawma yatee taweeluhu yaqoolu allatheena nasoohu min qablu qad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqi fahal lana min shufaAAaa fayashfaAAoo lana aw nuraddu fanaAAmala ghayra allathee kunna naAAmalu qad khasiroo anfusahum wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 53: | Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The apostles of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch. |
| Shakir 53: | Do they wait for aught but its final sequel? On the day when its final sequel comes about, those who neglected it before will say: Indeed the messengers of our Lord brought the truth; are there for us then any intercessors so that they should intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back so that we should do (deeds) other than those which we did? Indeed they have lost their souls and that which they forged has gone away from them. |

On the day when the fulfilment thereof cometh, those who were before forgetful thereof will say: The messengers of our Lord did bring the Truth! They have lost their souls, and that which they devised hath failed them. |

On the Day the event is finally fulfilled (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), those who neglected it before will say: "Verily, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth, now are there any intercessors for us that they might intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to the first life of the world) so that we might do (good) deeds other than those (evil) deeds which we used to do?" Verily, they have lost their ownselves (i.e. destroyed themselves) and that which they used to fabricate (invoking and worshipping others besides Allah) has gone away from them. |

Se han perdido a sí mismos y se han esfumado sus invenciones. |
| Indonesian 53: | Tiadalah mereka menunggu-nunggu kecuali (terlaksananya kebenaran) Al Qur'an itu. Pada hari datangnya kebenaran pemberitaan Al Qur'an itu, berkatalah orang-orang yang melupakannya sebelum itu: "Sesungguhnya telah datang rasul-rasul Tuhan kami membawa yang hak, maka adakah bagi kami pemberi syafa'at yang akan memberi syafa'at bagi kami, atau dapatkah kami dikembalikan (ke dunia) sehingga kami dapat beramal yang lain dari yang pernah kami amalkan?" Sungguh mereka telah merugikan diri mereka sendiri dan telah lenyaplah dari mereka tuhan-tuhan yang mereka ada-adakan. |

Haben wir wohl Fürsprecher, die für uns Fürsprache einlegen? Oder könnten wir zurückgeschickt werden, auf daß wir anderes tun mögen, als wir zu tun pflegten?"" Sie haben ihre Seelen zugrunde gerichtet, und das, was sie zu erdichten gewohnt waren, hat sie im Stich gelassen. |

| Bosnian 53: | Čekaju li oni da se obistine prijetnje njene? Onoga dana kada se obistine, reći će oni koji su na njih prije zaboravili: "Istinu su poslanici Gospodara našeg donosili! Da nam je zagovornika kakva, pa da se za nas zauzme ili da nam je da budemo vraćeni, pa da postupimo drukčije nego što smo postupili!" Ali, oni su sami sebe upropastili, a neće im biti ni onih koje su izmišljali. |

| 54 | إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Transliteration 54: | Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yughshee allayla alnnahara yatlubuhu hatheethan waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujooma musakhkharatin biamrihi ala lahu alkhalqu waalamru tabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena |
| Yusuf Ali 54: | Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! |

Und (Er erschuf) die Sonne und den Mond und die Sterne, Seinem Befehl dienstbar. Wahrlich, Sein ist die Schöpfung und der Befehl! Segensreich ist Allah, der Herr der Welten. |

| Transliteration 55: | OdAAoo rabbakum tadarruAAan wakhufyatan innahu la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena |
| Yusuf Ali 55: | Call on your Lord with humility and in private: for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds. |
| Shakir 55: | Call on your Lord humbly and secretly; surely He does not love those who exceed the limits. |

| Transliteration 56: | Wala tufsidoo fee alardi baAAda islahiha waodAAoohu khawfan watamaAAan inna rahmata Allahi qareebun mina almuhsineena |
| Yusuf Ali 56: | Do no mischief on the earth, after it hath been set in order, but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good. |
| Shakir 56: | And do not make mischief in the earth after its reformation, and call on Him fearing and hoping; surely the mercy of Allah is nigh to those who do good (to others). |

Sesungguhnya rahmat Allah itu dekat kepada orang-orang yang memperbaiki amalannya. |
| German 56: | Und stiftet keinen Verderb auf Erden, nachdem dort Ordnung herrscht, und ruft Ihn in Furcht und Hoffnung an. Wahrlich, Allahs Barmherzigkeit ist denen nahe, die gute Werke tun. |
| Russian 56: | Не распространяйте нечестия на земле после того, как она приведена в порядок. Взывайте к Нему со страхом и надеждой. Воистину, милость Аллаха близка к творящим добро. |
| Bosnian 56: | I ne pravite nered na Zemlji, kad je na njoj red uspostavljen, a Njemu se molite sa strahom i nadom; milost Allahova je doista blizu onih koji dobra djela čine. |
| Urdu 56: | اور زمین میں اس کی اصلاح کے بعد فساد مت کرو اور اسے ڈر اور طمع سے پکارو بے شک اللهکی رحمت نیکو کاروں سے قریب ہے |
| 57 | وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَنزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ مِن كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ |
| Transliteration 57: | Wahuwa allathee yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi hatta itha aqallat sahaban thiqalan suqnahu libaladin mayyitin faanzalna bihi almaa faakhrajna bihi min kulli alththamarati kathalika nukhriju almawta laAAallakum tathakkaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 57: | It is He Who sendeth the winds like heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy: when they have carried the heavy-laden clouds, We drive them to a land that is dead, make rain to descend thereon, and produce every kind of harvest therewith: thus shall We raise up the dead: perchance ye may remember. |
| Shakir 57: | And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful. |
| Pickthal 57: | And He it is Who sendeth the winds as tidings heralding His mercy, till, when they bear a cloud heavy (with rain), We lead it to a dead land, and then cause water to descend thereon and thereby bring forth fruits of every kind. Thus bring We forth the dead. Haply ye may remember. |

Ainsi ferons-Nous sortir les morts. Peut-être vous rappellerez-vous. |
| Spanish 57: | Es Él quien envía los vientos como nuncios que preceden a Su misericordia. Cuando están cargados de nubes pesadas, las empujamos a un país muerto y hacemos que llueva en él y que salgan, gracias al agua, frutos de todas clases. Así haremos salir a los muertos. Quizás así, os dejéis amonestar. |
| Indonesian 57: | Dan Dialah yang meniupkan angin sebagai pembawa berita gembira sebelum kedatangan rahmat-Nya (hujan); hingga apabila angin itu telah membawa awan mendung, Kami halau ke suatu daerah yang tandus, lalu Kami turunkan hujan di daerah itu, maka Kami keluarkan dengan sebab hujan itu pelbagai macam buah-buahan. Seperti itulah Kami membangkitkan orang-orang yang telah mati, mudah-mudahan kamu mengambil pelajaran. |
| Melayu 57: | Dan Dialah (Allah) yang menghantarkan angin sebagai pembawa berita yang menggembirakan sebelum kedatangan rahmatnya (iaitu hujan), hingga apabila angin itu membawa awan mendung, Kami halakan ia ke negeri yang mati (ke daerah yang kering kontang), lalu Kami turunkan hujan dengan awan itu, kemudian Kami keluarkan dengan air hujan itu berbagai-bagai jenis buah-buahan. Demikianlah pula Kami mengeluarkan (menghidupkan semula) orang-orang yang telah mati, supaya kamu beringat (mengambil pelajaran daripadanya). |
| German 57: | Er ist es, Der in Seiner Barmherzigkeit die Winde als frohe Botschaft schickt, bis daß Wir sie, wenn sie eine schwere Wolke tragen, zu einem toten Ort treiben; dann lassen Wir Wasser aus ihr herab, mit dem Wir Früchte von jeglicher Art hervorbringen. So bringen Wir auch die Toten hervor, auf daß ihr dessen eingedenk sein möget. |
| Russian 57: | Он – Тот, Кто направляет ветры добрыми вестниками Своей милости. Когда же они приносят тяжелые облака, Мы пригоняем их к мертвой земле, проливаем воду и посредством этого взращиваем всевозможные плоды. Таким же образом Мы воскрешаем мертвых. Быть может, вы помяните назидание. |

| Urdu 57: | اور وہی ہے جو مینہ سے پہلے خوشخبری دینے والی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب ہوائیں بھاری بادلو ں کو اٹھا لاتی ہیں تو ہم ا س بادل کو مردہ شہر کی طرف ہانک دیتے ہیں پھر ہم ا س بادل سے پانی اتارتے ہیں پھر اس سے سب طرح کے پھل نکالتے ہیں اسی طرح ہم مردوں کو نکالیں گے تاکہ تم نصیحت حاصل کرو |
| 58 | وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُونَ |
| Transliteration 58: | Waalbaladu alttayyibu yakhruju nabatuhu biithni rabbihi waallathee khabutha la yakhruju illa nakidan kathalika nusarrifu alayati liqawmin yashkuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 58: | From the land that is clean and good, by the will of its Cherisher, springs up produce, (rich) after its kind: but from the land that is bad, springs up nothing but that which is niggardly: thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols) to those who are grateful. |
| Shakir 58: | And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks. |
| Pickthal 58: | As for the good land, its vegetation cometh forth by permission of its Lord; while as for that which is bad, only the useless cometh forth (from it). Thus do We recount the tokens for people who give thanks. |
| Mohsin Khan: 58: | The vegetation of a good land comes forth (easily) by the Permission of its Lord; and that which is bad, brings forth nothing but (a little) with difficulty. Thus do We explain variously the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for a people who give thanks. |
| French 58: | Le bon pays, sa végétation pousse avec la grâce de son Seigneur; quant au mauvais pays, (sa végétation) ne sort qu'insuffisamment et difficilement. Ainsi déployons-Nous les enseignements pour des gens reconnaissants. |
| Spanish 58: | La vegetación de un país bueno sale con la ayuda de su Señor, mientras que de un país malo sale pero escasa. Así explicamos los signos a gente que agradece. |
| Indonesian 58: | Dan tanah yang baik, tanaman-tanamannya tumbuh subur dengan seizin Allah; dan tanah yang tidak subur, tanaman-tanamannya hanya tumbuh merana. Demikianlah Kami mengulangi tanda-tanda kebesaran (Kami) bagi orang-orang yang bersyukur. |
| Melayu 58: | Dan negeri yang baik (tanahnya), tanaman-tanamannya tumbuh (subur) dengan izin Allah dan negeri yang tidak baik (tanahnya) tidak tumbuh tanamannya melainkan dengan keadaan bantut. Demikianlah Kami menerangkan tanda-tanda (kemurahan dan kekuasaan) Kami dengan berbagai cara bagi orang-orang yang (mahu) bersyukur. |
| German 58: | Und der gute Ort - seine Pflanzen sprießen nach der Erlaubnis seines Herrn hervor; der (Ort, der) aber schlecht ist - (seine Pflanzen) sprießen nur kümmerlich. Und so wenden Wir die Zeichen für Leute, die dankbar sind. |
| Russian 58: | На хорошей земле растения растут по воле ее Господа, а на плохой земле они растут с трудом. Так Мы разъясняем знамения для благодарных людей. |

| 59 | لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
| Transliteration 59: | Laqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin |
| Yusuf Ali 59: | We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful day! |
| Shakir 59: | Certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day. |
| Pickthal 59: | We sent Noah (of old) unto his people, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an Awful Day. |
| Mohsin Khan: 59: | Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha illallah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" |

| Yusuf Ali 60: | The leaders of his people said: "Ah! we see thee evidently wandering (in mind)." |

| Yusuf Ali 61: | He said: "O my people! No wandering is there in my (mind): on the contrary I am an apostle from the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds! |
| Shakir 61: | He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an messenger from the Lord of the worlds. |

| Transliteration 62: | Oballighukum risalati rabbee waansahu lakum waaAAlamu mina Allahi ma la taAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 62: | "I but fulfil towards you the duties of my Lord's mission: Sincere is my advice to you, and I know from Allah something that ye know not. |
| Shakir 62: | I deliver to you the messages of my Lord, and I offer you good advice and I know from Allah what you do not know. |
| Pickthal 62: | I convey unto you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel unto you, and know from Allah that which ye know not. |

| 63 | أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُوا وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 63: | Awa AAajibtum an jaakum thikrun min rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum walitattaqoo walaAAallakum turhamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 63: | "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" |
| Shakir 63: | What! do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, that he might warn you and that you might guard (against evil) and so that mercy may be shown to you? |
| Pickthal 63: | Marvel ye that there should come unto you a Reminder from your Lord by means of a man among you, that he may warn you, and that ye may keep from evil, and that haply ye may find mercy. |
| Mohsin Khan: 63: | "Do you wonder that there has come to you a Reminder from your Lord through a man from amongst you, that he may warn you, so that you may fear Allah and that you may receive (His) Mercy?" |

| Melayu 63: | Adakah kamu merasa ragu-ragu dan hairan tentang datangnya kepada kamu nasihat pengajaran dari Tuhan kamu melalui seorang lelaki dari golongan kamu, untuk memberi peringatan kepada kamu dan supaya kamu bertakwa dan juga supaya kamu beroleh rahmat?. |
| German 63: | "Wundert ihr euch, daß eine Ermahnung von eurem Herrn durch einen Mann aus eurer Mitte zu euch gekommen ist, auf daß er euch warne, und auf daß ihr (Allah) fürchten möget und vielleicht Erbarmen findet?"" |
| Russian 63: | Неужели вы удивляетесь тому, что напоминание от вашего Господа явилось к мужчине из вашей среды, чтобы он мог предостеречь вас и чтобы вы стали богобоязненны? Быть может, тогда вы будете помилованы». |
| Bosnian 63: | Zar vam je čudno što vam pouka od Gospodara vašeg dolazi po čovjeku, jednom od vas, da vas opominje, da biste se grijeha klonili i pomilovani bili?" |

| 64 | فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا عَمِينَ |
| Transliteration 64: | Fakaththaboohu faanjaynahu waallatheena maAAahu fee alfulki waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina innahum kanoo qawman AAameena |
| Yusuf Ali 64: | But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people! |
| Shakir 64: | But they called him a liar, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our communications; surely they were a blind people. |
| Pickthal 64: | But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We drowned those who denied Our tokens. Lo! they were blind folk. |
| Mohsin Khan: 64: | But they belied him, so We saved him and those along with him in the ship, and We drowned those who belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). They were indeed a blind people. |

| Transliteration 65: | Waila AAadin akhahum hoodan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona |
| Yusuf Ali 65: | To the 'Ad people, (We sent) Hud, one of their (own) brethren: He said: O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him will ye not fear ((Allah))?" |

| Transliteration 69: | Awa AAajibtum an jaakum thikrun min rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi qawmi noohin wazadakum fee alkhalqi bastatan faothkuroo alaa Allahi laAAallakum tuflihoona |
| Yusuf Ali 69: | "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord through a man of your own people, to warn you? call in remembrance that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and gave you a stature tall among the nations. Call in remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah. that so ye may prosper." |
| Shakir 69: | What! do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you that he might warn you? And remember when He made you successors after Nuh's people and increased you in excellence in respect of make; therefore remember the benefits of Allah, that you may be successful. |
| Pickthal 69: | Marvel ye that there should come unto you a Reminder from your Lord by means of a man among you, that he may warn you? Remember how He made you viceroys after Noah's folk, and gave you growth of stature. Remember (all) the bounties of your Lord, that haply ye may be successful. |

Dan ingatlah oleh kamu sekalian di waktu Allah menjadikan kamu sebagai pengganti-pengganti (yang berkuasa) sesudah lenyapnya kaum Nuh, dan Tuhan telah melebihkan kekuatan tubuh dan perawakanmu (daripada kaum Nuh itu). Maka ingatlah ni'mat-ni'mat Allah supaya kamu mendapat keberuntungan. |

| Transliteration 70: | Qaloo ajitana linaAAbuda Allaha wahdahu wanathara ma kana yaAAbudu abaona fatina bima taAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeena |
| Yusuf Ali 70: | They said: "Comest thou to us, that we may worship Allah alone, and give up the cult of our fathers? bring us what thou threatenest us with, if so be that thou tellest the truth!" |
| Shakir 70: | They said: Have you come to us that we may serve Allah alone and give up what our fathers used to serve? Then bring to us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones. |

| Transliteration 71: | Qala qad waqaAAa AAalaykum min rabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asmain sammaytumooha antum waabaokum ma nazzala Allahu biha min sultanin faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena |
| Yusuf Ali 71: | He said: "Punishment and wrath have already come upon you from your Lord: dispute ye with me over names which ye have devised - ye and your fathers,- without authority from Allah. then wait: I am amongst you, also waiting." |
| Shakir 71: | He said: Indeed uncleanness and wrath from your Lord have lighted upon you; what! do you dispute with me about names which you and your fathers have given? Allah has not sent any authority for them; wait then, I too with you will be of those who wait. |
| Pickthal 71: | He said: Terror and wrath from your Lord have already fallen on you. Would ye wrangle with me over names which ye have named, ye and your fathers, for which no warrant from Allah hath been revealed? Then await (the consequence), lo! I (also) am of those awaiting (it). |

| Indonesian 71: | Ia berkata: "Sungguh sudah pasti kamu akan ditimpa azab dan kemarahan dari Tuhanmu". Apakah kamu sekalian hendak berbantah dengan aku tentang nama-nama (berhala) yang kamu dan nenek moyangmu menamakannya, padahal Allah sekali-kali tidak menurunkan hujjah untuk itu? Maka tunggulah (azab itu), sesungguhnya aku juga termasuk orang yang menunggu bersama kamu". |

Maka tunggulah (kedatangan azab itu), sesungguhnya aku juga dari orang-orang yang turut menunggu bersama-sama kamu. |
| German 71: | ""Er sagte: ""Wahrlich, fällig geworden ist nunmehr für euch Strafe und Zorn von eurem Herrn. Wollt ihr mit mir über die Namen streiten, die ihr nanntet - ihr und eure Väter -, wozu Allah keine Befugnis hinabsandte? Wartet denn, ich bin mit euch unter den Wartenden."" |
| Russian 71: | Он сказал: «Наказание и гнев вашего Господа уже поразили вас. Неужели вы станете пререкаться со мной относительно имен, которые придумали вы и ваши отцы? Аллах не ниспосылал о них никакого доказательства. Ждите, и я подожду вместе с вами». |

| Transliteration 72: | Faanjaynahu waallatheena maAAahu birahmatin minna waqataAAna dabira allatheena kaththaboo biayatina wama kanoo mumineena |
| Yusuf Ali 72: | We saved him and those who adhered to him. By Our mercy, and We cut off the roots of those who rejected Our signs and did not believe. |

| 73 | وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ هَـٰذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ آيَةً ۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِي أَرْضِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 73: | Waila thamooda akhahum salihan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum hathihi naqatu Allahi lakum ayatan fatharooha takul fee ardi Allahi wala tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum AAathabun aleemun |
| Yusuf Ali 73: | To the Thamud people (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren: He said: "O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! This she-camel of Allah is a Sign unto you: So leave her to graze in Allah.s earth, and let her come to no harm, or ye shall be seized with a grievous punishment. |
| Shakir 73: | And to Samood (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof indeed has come to you from your Lord; this is (as) Allah's she-camel for you-- a sign, therefore leave her alone to pasture on Allah's earth, and do not touch her with any harm, otherwise painful chastisement will overtake you. |

Sesungguhnya telah datang bukti yang nyata kepadamu dari Tuhanmu. Unta betina Allah ini menjadi tanda bagimu, maka biarkanlah dia makan di bumi Allah, dan janganlah kamu mengganggunya, dengan gangguan apapun, (yang karenanya) kamu akan ditimpa siksaan yang pedih." |

| 74 | وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِن بَعْدِ عَادٍ وَبَوَّأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِن سُهُولِهَا قُصُورًا وَتَنْحِتُونَ الْجِبَالَ بُيُوتًا ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا آلَاءَ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ |
| Transliteration 74: | Waothkuroo ith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi AAadin wabawwaakum fee alardi tattakhithoona min suhooliha qusooran watanhitoona aljibala buyootan faothkuroo alaa Allahi wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena |
| Yusuf Ali 74: | "And remember how He made you inheritors after the 'Ad people and gave you habitations in the land: ye build for yourselves palaces and castles in (open) plains, and carve out homes in the mountains; so bring to remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah, and refrain from evil and mischief on the earth." |
| Shakir 74: | And remember when He made you successors after Ad and settled you in the land-- you make mansions on its plains and hew out houses in the mountains-- remember therefore Allah's benefits and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief. |
| Pickthal 74: | And remember how He made you viceroys after A'ad and gave you station in the earth. Ye choose castles in the plains and hew the mountains into dwellings. So remember (all) the bounties of Allah and do not evil, making mischief in the earth. |

Kamu dirikan istana-istana di tanah-tanahnya yang datar dan kamu pahat gunung-gunungnya untuk dijadikan rumah; maka ingatlah ni'mat-ni'mat Allah dan janganlah kamu merajalela di muka bumi membuat kerusakan. |

| Transliteration 75: | Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lillatheena istudAAifoo liman amana minhum ataAAlamoona anna salihan mursalun min rabbihi qaloo inna bima orsila bihi muminoona |

| Yusuf Ali 77: | Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord, saying: "O Salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art an apostle (of Allah.!" |

| Transliteration 79: | Fatawalla AAanhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalata rabbee wanasahtu lakum walakin la tuhibboona alnnasiheena |
| Yusuf Ali 79: | So Salih left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!" |
| Shakir 79: | Then he turned away from them and said: O my people I did certainly deliver to you the message of my Lord, and I gave you good advice, but you do not love those who give good advice. |

| Transliteration 80: | Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina alAAalameena |
| Yusuf Ali 80: | We also (sent) Lut: He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? |
| Shakir 80: | And (We sent) Lut when he said to his people: What! do you commit an indecency which any one in the world has not done before you? |

| Yusuf Ali 84: | And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime! |
| Shakir 84: | And We rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty. |

| 85 | وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا ۗ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ فَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَاحِهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ |
| Transliteration 85: | Waila madyana akhahum shuAAayban qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu qad jaatkum bayyinatun min rabbikum faawfoo alkayla waalmeezana wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala tufsidoo fee alardi baAAda islahiha thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum mumineena |
| Yusuf Ali 85: | To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith. |
| Shakir 85: | And to Madyan (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; clear proof indeed has come to you from your Lord, therefore give full measure and weight and do not diminish to men their things, and do not make mischief in the land after its reform; this is better for you if you are believers: |

That will be better for you, if ye are believers. |

Verily, a clear proof (sign) from your Lord has come unto you; so give full measure and full weight and wrong not men in their things, and do not do mischief on the earth after it has been set in order, that will be better for you, if you are believers. |

Maka sempurnakanlah takaran dan timbangan dan janganlah kamu kurangkan bagi manusia barang-barang takaran dan timbangannya, dan janganlah kamu membuat kerusakan di muka bumi sesudah Tuhan memperbaikinya. Yang demikian itu lebih baik bagimu jika betul-betul kamu orang-orang yang beriman". |
| Melayu 85: | Dan kepada penduduk Madyan (Kami utuskan) saudara mereka Nabi Syuaib. Dia berkata: Wahai kaum sembahlah kamu akan Allah, (sebenarnya) tiada Tuhan bagi kamu selain daripadaNya. Sesungguhnya telah datang kepada kamu keterangan yang nyata dari Tuhan kamu. Oleh itu, sempurnakanlah sukatan dan timbangan dan janganlah kamu kurangkan bagi manusia akan benda-benda dan perkara-perkara yang menjadi haknya; dan janganlah kamu berbuat kerosakan di muka bumi sesudah Allah menjadikannya (makmur teratur) dengan sebaik-baiknya. Yang demikian itu lebih baik bagi kamu jika betul kamu orang-orang yang beriman. |
| German 85: | "Und zu den Madyan (entsandten Wir) ihren Bruder Su'aib. Er sagte: ""O mein Volk, dient Allah; ihr habt keinen anderen Gott außer Ihm. Ein deutliches Zeichen ist nunmehr von eurem Herrn zu euch gekommen. Darum gebt volles Maß und Gewicht und schmälert den Menschen ihre Dinge nicht und stiftet nicht nach ihrer Ordnung Unheil auf Erden. Das ist besser für euch, wenn ihr gläubig seid. |
| Russian 85: | Мы отправили к мадьянитам их брата Шуейба. Он сказал: «О мой народ! Поклоняйтесь Аллаху, ибо нет у вас другого божества, кроме Него. К вам явилось ясное знамение от вашего Господа. Не обмеривайте и не обвешивайте, не присваивайте себе имущества людей и не распространяйте нечестия на земле после того, как на ней наведен порядок. Так лучше для вас, если только вы являетесь верующими. |

| 86 | وَلَا تَقْعُدُوا بِكُلِّ صِرَاطٍ تُوعِدُونَ وَتَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِهِ وَتَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا ۚ وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ كُنتُمْ قَلِيلًا فَكَثَّرَكُمْ ۖ وَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Transliteration 86: | Wala taqAAudoo bikulli siratin tooAAidoona watasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi man amana bihi watabghoonaha AAiwajan waothkuroo ith kuntum qaleelan fakaththarakum waonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena |
| Yusuf Ali 86: | "And squat not on every road, breathing threats, hindering from the path of Allah those who believe in Him, and seeking in it something crooked; But remember how ye were little, and He gave you increase. And hold in your mind's eye what was the end of those who did mischief. |
| Shakir 86: | And do not lie in wait in every path, threatening and turning away from Allah's way him who believes in Him and seeking to make it crooked; and remember when you were few then He multiplied you, and consider what was the end of the mischief-makers. |
| Pickthal 86: | Lurk not on every road to threaten (wayfarers), and to turn away from Allah's path him who believeth in Him, and to seek to make it crooked. And remember, when ye were but few, how He did multiply you. And see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters! |

| Indonesian 86: | Dan janganlah kamu duduk di tiap-tiap jalan dengan menakut-nakuti dan menghalang-halangi orang yang beriman dari jalan Allah, dan menginginkan agar jalan Allah itu menjadi bengkok. Dan ingatlah di waktu dahulunya kamu berjumlah sedikit, lalu Allah memperbanyak jumlah kamu. Dan perhatikanlah bagaimana kesudahan orang-orang yang berbuat kerusakan. |
| Melayu 86: | Dan janganlah kamu duduk pada tiap-tiap jalan lalu-lalang, dengan menakut-nakutkan dan menghalangi orang-orang yang beriman dari melalui jalan Allah dan kamu pula menghendaki supaya jalan Allah itu bengkok terpesong dan ingatlah semasa kamu dahulu sedikit bilangannya lalu Allah menjadikan kamu kembang ramai, serta perhatikanlah bagaimana akibat orang-orang yang berbuat kerosakan. |
| German 86: | "Und lauert nicht auf jedem Weg, indem ihr jene bedroht und von Allahs Weg abtrünnig zu machen trachtet, die an Ihn glauben, und indem ihr ihn (den Weg) zu krümmen sucht. Und denkt daran, wie wenige ihr waret und (wie) Er euch mehrte. Und schaut, wie das Ende derer war, die Unheil stifteten! |

| 87 | وَإِن كَانَ طَائِفَةٌ مِّنكُمْ آمَنُوا بِالَّذِي أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَطَائِفَةٌ لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّىٰ يَحْكُمَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَنَا ۚ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ |
| Transliteration 87: | Wain kana taifatun minkum amanoo biallathee orsiltu bihi wataifatun lam yuminoo faisbiroo hatta yahkuma Allahu baynana wahuwa khayru alhakimeena |
| Yusuf Ali 87: | "And if there is a party among you who believes in the message with which I have been sent, and a party which does not believe, hold yourselves in patience until Allah doth decide between us: for He is the best to decide. |
| Shakir 87: | And if there is a party of you who believe in that with which am sent, and another party who do not believe, then wait patiently until Allah judges between us; and He is the best of the Judges. |

| Transliteration 88: | Qala almalao allatheena istakbaroo min qawmihi lanukhrijannaka ya shuAAaybu waallatheena amanoo maAAaka min qaryatina aw lataAAoodunna fee millatina qala awa law kunna kariheena |
| Yusuf Ali 88: | The leaders, the arrogant party among his people, said: "O Shu'aib! we shall certainly drive thee out of our city - (thee) and those who believe with thee; or else ye (thou and they) shall have to return to our ways and religion." He said: "What! even though we do detest (them)? |
| Shakir 88: | The chiefs, those who were proud from among his people said: We will most certainly turn you out, O Shu'aib, and (also; those who believe with you, from our town, or you shall come back to our faith. He said: What! though we dislike (it)? |

| Transliteration 93: | Fatawalla AAanhum waqala ya qawmi laqad ablaghtukum risalati rabbee wanasahtu lakum fakayfa asa AAala qawmin kafireena |
| Yusuf Ali 93: | So Shu'aib left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the messages for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but how shall I lament over a people who refuse to believe!" |
| Shakir 93: | So he turned away from them and said: O my people! certainly I delivered to you the messages of my Lord and I gave you good advice; how shall I then be sorry for an unbelieving people? |
| Pickthal 93: | So he turned from them and said: O my people! I delivered my Lord's messages unto you and gave you good advice; then how can I sorrow for a people that rejected (truth)? |
| Mohsin Khan: 93: | Then he (Shu'aib) turned from them and said: "O my people! I have indeed conveyed my Lord's Messages unto you and I have given you good advice. Then how can I sorrow for the disbelieving people's (destruction)." |

| 94 | وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا أَخَذْنَا أَهْلَهَا بِالْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَضَّرَّعُونَ |
| Transliteration 94: | Wama arsalna fee qaryatin min nabiyyin illa akhathna ahlaha bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yaddarraAAoona |
| Yusuf Ali 94: | Whenever We sent a prophet to a town, We took up its people in suffering and adversity, in order that they might learn humility. |
| Shakir 94: | And We did not send a prophet in a town but We overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves. |
| Pickthal 94: | And We sent no prophet unto any township but We did afflict its folk with tribulation and adversity that haply they might grow humble. |
| Mohsin Khan: 94: | And We sent no Prophet unto any town (and they denied him), but We seized its people with suffering from extreme poverty (or loss in wealth) and loss of health (and calamities), so that they might humiliate themselves (and repent to Allah). |

| Melayu 94: | Dan (Tuhan berfirman): Kami tidak mengutus dalam sesebuah negeri seorang Nabi (yang didustakan oleh penduduknya), melainkan Kami timpakan mereka dengan kesusahan (kesempitan hidup) dan penderitaan (penyakit), supaya mereka tunduk merendah diri (insaf dan tidak berlaku sombong takbur). |

| Russian 94: | В какое бы селение Мы не отправляли пророка, Мы непременно подвергали его жителей невзгодам и напастям, дабы они стали смиренны. |
| Bosnian 94: | I Mi nijednog vjerovjesnika u neki grad nismo poslali, a da stanovnike njegove neimaštinom i bolešću nismo kaznili da bi se pokajali. |
| Urdu 94: | او رہم نے کسی بستی میں کوئی پیغمبرنہیں بھیجا مگر وہاں کے لوگوں کو سختی اور تکلیف میں پکڑا تاکہ وہ عاجزی کریں |
| 95 | ثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّىٰ عَفَوا وَّقَالُوا قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ |
| Transliteration 95: | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyiati alhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qad massa abaana alddarrao waalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 95: | Then We changed their suffering into prosperity, until they grew and multiplied, and began to say: "Our fathers (too) were touched by suffering and affluence" ... Behold! We called them to account of a sudden, while they realised not (their peril). |
| Shakir 95: | Then We gave them good in the place of evil until they became many and said: Distress and happiness did indeed befall our fathers. Then We took them by surprise while they did not perceive. |
| Pickthal 95: | Then changed We the evil plight for good till they grew affluent and said: Tribulation and distress did touch our fathers. Then We seized them unawares, when they perceived not. |
| Mohsin Khan: 95: | Then We changed the evil for the good, until they increased in number and in wealth, and said: "Our fathers were touched with evil (loss of health and calamities) and with good (prosperity)." So We seized them all of a sudden while they were unaware. |
| French 95: | Puis Nous avons changé leur mauvaise condition en y substituant le bien, au point qu'ayant grandi en nombre et en richesse, ils dirent: ‹La détresse et l'aisance ont touché nos ancêtres aussi.› Eh bien, Nous les avons saisis soudain, sans qu'ils s'en rendent compte. |

| Indonesian 95: | Kemudian Kami ganti kesusahan itu dengan kesenangan hingga keturunan dan harta mereka bertambah banyak, dan mereka berkata: "Sesungguhnya nenek moyang kamipun telah merasai penderitaan dan kesenangan", maka Kami timpakan siksaan atas mereka dengan sekonyong-konyong sedang mereka tidak menyadarinya. |
| Melayu 95: | Setelah (mereka tidak juga insaf) Kami gantikan kesusahan itu dengan kesenangan hingga mereka kembang biak (serta senang-lenang) dan berkata (dengan angkuhnya): Sesungguhnya nenek moyang kita juga pernah merasai kesusahan dan kesenangan (sebagaimana yang kita rasakan). Lalu Kami timpakan mereka (dengan azab seksa) secara mengejut dan mereka tidak menyedarinya. |
| German 95: | "Darauf tauschten Wir das Ubel gegen etwas Gutes ein, bis sie anwuchsen und sagten: ""Auch unsere Väter erfuhren Leid und Freude."" Dann erfaßten Wir sie unversehens, ohne daß sie es merkten. |
| Russian 95: | Затем Мы заменяли зло добром, и тогда они начинали благоденствовать и говорили: «Наших отцов также касались невзгоды и радости». Мы хватали их внезапно, когда они даже не помышляли об этом. |
| Bosnian 95: | Poslije bismo kaznu blagostanjem zamijenili dok se ne bi umnožili i rekli: "I naše su pretke pogađale i žalosti i radosti!" - i tada bismo ih, da oni ne predosjete, neočekivano kaznili. |
| Urdu 95: | پھر ہم نے برائی کی جگہ بھلائی بدل دی یہاں تک کہ وہ زیادہ ہو گئے اور کہنے لگے کہ ہمارے باپ داداؤں کو بھی تکلیف اور خوشی کا وقت آیا تھا پھر ہم نے انہیں اچانک پکڑا اور ان کو خبر نہ ہوئی |
| 96 | وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْقُرَىٰ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَرَكَاتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبُوا فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ |
| Transliteration 96: | Walaw anna ahla alqura amanoo waittaqaw lafatahna AAalayhim barakatin mina alssamai waalardi walakin kaththaboo faakhathnahum bima kanoo yaksiboona |
| Yusuf Ali 96: | If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds. |
| Shakir 96: | And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they rejected, so We overtook them for what they had earned. |
| Pickthal 96: | And if the people of the townships had believed and kept from evil, surely We should have opened for them blessings from the sky and from the earth. But (unto every messenger) they gave the lie, and so We seized them on account of what they used to earn. |
| Mohsin Khan: 96: | And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwa (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they belied (the Messengers). So We took them (with punishment) for what they used to earn (polytheism and crimes). |
| French 96: | Si les habitants des cités avaient cru et avaient été pieux, Nous leur aurions certainement accordé des bénédictions du ciel et de la terre. Mais ils ont démenti et Nous les avons donc saisis, pour ce qu'ils avaient acquis. |
| Spanish 96: | Si los habitantes de las ciudades hubieran creído y temido a Alá, habríamos derramado sobre ellos bendiciones del cielo y de la tierra, pero desmintieron y nos apoderamos de ellos por lo que habían cometido. |
| Indonesian 96: | Jikalau sekiranya penduduk negeri-negeri beriman dan bertakwa, pastilah Kami akan melimpahkan kepada mereka berkah dari langit dan bumi, tetapi mereka mendustakan (ayat-ayat Kami) itu, maka Kami siksa mereka disebabkan perbuatannya. |
| Melayu 96: | Dan (Tuhan berfirman lagi): Sekiranya penduduk negeri itu, beriman serta bertakwa, tentulah Kami akan membuka kepada mereka (pintu pengurniaan) yang melimpah-limpah berkatnya, dari langit dan bumi. Tetapi mereka mendustakan (Rasul Kami), lalu Kami timpakan mereka dengan azab seksa disebabkan apa yang mereka telah usahakan. |
| German 96: | "Hätten aber die Bewohner (jener) Städte geglaubt und wären sie gottesfürchtig gewesen, so hätten Wir ihnen ganz gewiß die Segnungen von Himmel und Erde eröffnet. Doch sie leugneten; also erfaßten Wir sie um dessentwillen, was sie begangen hatten. |
| Russian 96: | Если бы жители селений уверовали и стали богобоязненны, Мы раскрыли бы перед ними благодать с неба и земли. Но они сочли это ложью, и Мы схватили их за то, что они приобретали. |

| 97 | أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَىٰ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 97: | Afaamina ahlu alqura an yatiyahum basuna bayatan wahum naimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 97: | Did the people of the towns feel secure against the coming of Our wrath by night while they were asleep? |
| Shakir 97: | What! do the people of the towns then feel secure from Our punishment coming to them by night while they sleep? |
| Pickthal 97: | Are the people of the townships then secure from the coming of Our wrath upon them as a night-raid while they sleep? |
| Mohsin Khan: 97: | Did the people of the towns then feel secure against the coming of Our punishment by night while they were asleep? |

| 98 | أَوَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَىٰ أَن يَأْتِيَهُم بَأْسُنَا ضُحًى وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ |
| Transliteration 98: | Awa amina ahlu alqura an yatiyahum basuna duhan wahum yalAAaboona |
| Yusuf Ali 98: | Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)? |
| Shakir 98: | What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they play? |
| Pickthal 98: | Or are the people of the townships then secure from the coming of Our wrath upon them in the daytime while they play? |
| Mohsin Khan: 98: | Or, did the people of the towns then feel secure against the coming of Our punishment in the forenoon while they were playing? |

| 99 | أَفَأَمِنُوا مَكْرَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَلَا يَأْمَنُ مَكْرَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ |
| Transliteration 99: | Afaaminoo makra Allahi fala yamanu makra Allahi illa alqawmu alkhasiroona |
| Yusuf Ali 99: | Did they then feel secure against the plan of Allah.- but no one can feel secure from the Plan of Allah, except those (doomed) to ruin! |
| Shakir 99: | What! do they then feel secure from Allah's plan? But none feels secure from Allah's plan except the people who shall perish. |
| Pickthal 99: | Are they then secure from Allah's scheme? None deemeth himself secure from Allah's scheme save folk that perish. |
| Mohsin Khan: 99: | Did they then feel secure against the Plan of Allah? None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers. |
| French 99: | Sont-ils à l'abri du stratagème d'Allah? Seuls les gens perdus se sentent à l'abri du stratagème d'Allah. |
| Spanish 99: | ¿Es que están a salvo de la intriga de Alá? Nadie está a salvo de la intriga de Alá, sino los que pierden. |
| Indonesian 99: | Maka apakah mereka merasa aman dari azab Allah (yang tidak terduga-duga)? Tiadalah yang merasa aman dari azab Allah kecuali orang-orang yang merugi. |
| Melayu 99: | Patutkah mereka (bersukaria) sehingga mereka merasa aman akan rancangan buruk (balasan azab) yang diatur oleh Allah? Kerana sebenarnya tidak ada yang merasa aman dari rancangan buruk (balasan azab) yang diatur oleh Allah itu melainkan orang-orang yang rugi. |
| German 99: | Sind sie denn sicher vor dem Plan Allahs? Aber niemand kann sich vor dem Plan Allahs sicher fühlen, außer dem Volk der Verlierenden. |

| Urdu 99: | کیا وہ الله کی اچانک پکڑ سے بے فکر ہوئے ہیں بس الله کی اچانک پکڑ سے بے فکر ہو گئے ہیں پس الله کی اچانک پکڑ سے بے فکر نہیں ہوتے مگر نقصان اٹھانے والے |
| 100 | أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لِلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ مِن بَعْدِ أَهْلِهَا أَن لَّوْ نَشَاءُ أَصَبْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۚ وَنَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ |
| Transliteration 100: | Awa lam yahdi lillatheena yarithoona alarda min baAAdi ahliha an law nashao asabnahum bithunoobihim wanatbaAAu AAala quloobihim fahum la yasmaAAoona |
| Yusuf Ali 100: | To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? |
| Shakir 100: | Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear. |
| Pickthal 100: | Is it not an indication to those who inherit the land after its people (who thus reaped the consequence of evil-doing) that, if We will, We can smite them for their sins and print upon their hearts so that they hear not? |
| Mohsin Khan: 100: | Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? |
| French 100: | N'est-il pas prouvé à ceux qui reçoivent la terre en héritage des peuples précédents que, si Nous voulions, Nous les frapperions pour leurs péchés et scellerions leurs coeurs, et ils n'entendraient plus rien? |
| Spanish 100: | ¿No hemos indicado a los que han heredado la tierra después de sus anteriores ocupantes que, si Nosotros quisiéramos. les afligiríamos por sus pecados, sellando sus corazones de modo que no pudieran oír? |
| Indonesian 100: | Dan apakah belum jelas bagi orang-orang yang mempusakai suatu negeri sesudah (lenyap) penduduknya, bahwa kalau Kami menghendaki tentu Kami azab mereka karena dosa-dosanya; dan Kami kunci mati hati mereka sehingga mereka tidak dapat mendengar (pelajaran lagi)? |
| Melayu 100: | Adakah (yang demikian itu tersembunyi dan) tidak jelas kepada orang-orang yang mewarisi negeri itu sesudah penduduknya (hilang lenyap kerana ditimpa bencana), bahawa kalau Kami kehendaki tentulah Kami akan menimpakan mereka pula dengan azab disebabkan dosa-dosa mereka dan Kami meteraikan di atas hati mereka sehingga mereka tidak dapat mendengar (nasihat-nasihat pengajaran)? |
| German 100: | Leuchtet das jenen nicht ein, die die Erde von ihren (früheren) Bewohnern ererbt haben, daß Wir, wenn Wir wollen, sie für ihre Sünden treffen können und ihre Herzen versiegeln, so daß sie nicht hören können? |
| Russian 100: | Разве не ясно тем, которые унаследовали землю от ее прежних жителей, что если бы Мы пожелали, то покарали бы их за грехи? Мы запечатываем их сердца, и они не способны слышать. |
| Bosnian 100: | Zar nije jasno onima koji nasljeđuju zemlju prijašnjih stanovnika njezinih da ćemo i njih, ako budemo htjeli, zbog grijehova njihovih kazniti i srca njihova zapečatiti, pa savjet neće poslušati. |
| Urdu 100: | کیا ان لوگو ں پر جو زمین کے وارث ہوئے ہیں وہاں کے لوگوں کے ہلاک ہونے کے بعد یہ ظاہر نہیں ہوا کہ اگر ہم چاہیں تو انہیں ان کے گناہوں کے سبب سے پکڑ لیں اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دی ہے پس وہ نہیں سنتے |
