1	يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ
Transliteration 1:	Ya ayyuha almuzzammilu
Yusuf Ali 1:	O thou folded in garments!
Shakir 1:	O you who have wrapped up in your garments!
Pickthal 1:	O thou wrapped up in thy raiment!
Mohsin Khan: 1:	O you wrapped in garments (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)!
French 1:	Ô!, toi, l'enveloppé [dans tes vêtements]!
Spanish 1:	¡Tú, el arrebujado!
Indonesian 1:	Hai orang yang berselimut (Muhammad),
Melayu 1:	Wahai orang yang berselimut!.
German 1:	O du Verhüllter!
Russian 1:	О закутавшийся!
Bosnian 1:	O ti, umotani! -
Urdu 1:	اے چادر اوڑھنے والے
2	قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
Transliteration 2:	Qumi allayla illa qaleelan
Yusuf Ali 2:	Stand (to prayer) by night, but not all night,-
Shakir 2:	Rise to pray in the night except a little,
Pickthal 2:	Keep vigil the night long, save a little -
Mohsin Khan: 2:	Stand (to pray) all night, except a little -
French 2:	Lève-toi [pour prier], toute la nuit, excepté une petite partie;
Spanish 2:	¡Vela casi toda la noche,
Indonesian 2:	bangunlah (untuk sembahyang) di malam hari kecuali sedikit (daripadanya),
Melayu 2:	Bangunlah sembahyang Tahajjud pada waktu malam, selain dari sedikit masa (yang tak dapat tidak untuk berehat),
German 2:	Verbringe die Nacht stehend (im Gebet) bis auf wenige Zeit davon,
Russian 2:	Простаивай ночь без малого,
Bosnian 2:	probdij noć, osim maloga dijela;
Urdu 2:	رات کو قیام کر مگر تھوڑا ساحصہ
3	نِّصْفَهُ أَوِ انقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا
Transliteration 3:	Nisfahu awi onqus minhu qaleelan
Yusuf Ali 3:	Half of it,- or a little less,
Shakir 3:	Half of it, or lessen it a little,
Pickthal 3:	A half thereof, or abate a little thereof
Mohsin Khan: 3:	Half of it or a little less than that,
French 3:	Sa moitié, ou un peu moins;
Spanish 3:	o media noche, o algo menos,
Indonesian 3:	(yaitu) seperduanya atau kurangilah dari seperdua itu sedikit,
Melayu 3:	Iaitu separuh dari waktu malam atau kurangkan sedikit dari separuh itu,

Urdu 3:	آدھی رات یا اس میں سے تھوڑا ساحصہ کم کر دے
4	أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا
Transliteration 4:	Aw zid AAalayhi warattili alqurana tarteelan
Yusuf Ali 4:	Or a little more; and recite the Qur'an in slow, measured rhythmic tones.
Shakir 4:	Or add to it, and recite the Quran as it ought to be recited.
Pickthal 4:	Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure,
Mohsin Khan: 4:	Or a little more. And recite the Qur'an (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style.
French 4:	ou un peu plus. Et récite le Coran, lentement et clairement.
Spanish 4:	o más, y recita el Corán lenta y claramente!
Indonesian 4:	atau lebih dari seperdua itu. Dan bacalah Al Qur'an itu dengan perlahan-lahan.
Melayu 4:	Ataupun lebihkan (sedikit) daripadanya dan bacalah Al-Quran dengan "Tartil".
German 4:	oder füge ein wenig hinzu - und trage den Qur'an mit Tartil vor.
Russian 4:	или чуть больше того, и читай Коран размеренным чтением.
Bosnian 4:	ili malo više od nje, i izgovaraj Kur’an pažljivo
Urdu 4:	یا اس پر زیادہ کر دو اور قرآن کو ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھا کرو
5	إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا
Transliteration 5:	Inna sanulqee AAalayka qawlan thaqeelan
Yusuf Ali 5:	Soon shall We send down to thee a weighty Message.
Shakir 5:	Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word.
Pickthal 5:	For we shall charge thee with a word of weight.
Mohsin Khan: 5:	Verily, We shall send down to you a weighty Word (i.e. obligations, laws).
French 5:	Nous allons te révéler des paroles lourdes (très importantes).
Spanish 5:	Vamos a comunicarte algo importante:
Indonesian 5:	Sesungguhnya Kami akan menurunkan kepadamu perkataan yang berat.
Melayu 5:	(Sayugialah engkau dan pengikut-pengikutmu membiasakan diri masing-masing dengan ibadat yang berat kepada hawa nafsu, kerana) sesungguhnya Kami akan menurunkan kepadamu wahyu (Al-Quran yang mengandungi perintah-perintah) yang berat (kepada orang-orang yang tidak bersedia menyempurnakannya).
German 5:	Wahrlich, Wir legen dir da ein Wort auf, das gewichtig ist.
Russian 5:	Мы непременно ниспошлем тебе весомые слова.
Bosnian 5:	Mi ćemo ti, doista, teške riječi slati -
Urdu 5:	ہم عنقریب آپ پر ایک بھاری بات کا (بوجھ) ڈالنے والے ہیں
6	إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْئًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا
Transliteration 6:	Inna nashiata allayli hiya ashaddu watan waaqwamu qeelan
Yusuf Ali 6:	Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise).
Shakir 6:	Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech.
Pickthal 6:	Lo! the vigil of the night is (a time) when impression is more keen and speech more certain.
Mohsin Khan: 6:	Verily, the rising by night (for Tahajjud prayer) is very hard and most potent and good for governing oneself, and most suitable for (understanding) the Word (of Allah).
French 6:	La prière pendant la nuit est plus efficace et plus propice pour la récitation.
Spanish 6:	la primera noche es más eficaz y de dicción más correcta.
Indonesian 6:	Sesungguhnya bangun di waktu malam adalah lebih tepat (untuk khusyu') dan bacaan di waktu itu lebih berkesan.
Melayu 6:	Sebenarnya sembahyang dan ibadat malam lebih kuat kesannya (kepada jiwa) dan lebih tetap betul bacaannya.
German 6:	Wahrlich, der Anbruch der Nacht ist die beste Zeit zur Selbstzucht und zur Erfassung des wahren Sinnes der rezitierten Worte (des Qur'an).
Russian 6:	Воистину, молитвы после пробуждения среди ночи тяжелее и яснее по изложению.
Bosnian 6:	ta ustajanje noću, zaista, jače djeluje i izgovara se jasnije,
Urdu 6:	بےشک رات کا اٹھنا نفس کو خوب زیر کرتا ہے اور بات بھی صحیح نکلتی ہے
7	إِنَّ لَكَ فِي النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا
Transliteration 7:	Inna laka fee alnnahari sabhan taweelan
Yusuf Ali 7:	True, there is for thee by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties:
Shakir 7:	Surely you have in the day time a long occupation.
Pickthal 7:	Lo! thou hast by day a chain of business.
Mohsin Khan: 7:	Verily, there is for you by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties.
French 7:	Tu as, dans la journée, à vaquer à de longues occupations.
Spanish 7:	Durante el día estás demasiado ocupado.
Indonesian 7:	Sesungguhnya kamu pada siang hari mempunyai urusan yang panjang (banyak).
Melayu 7:	(Kami galakkan engkau dan umatmu beribadat pada waktu malam), kerana sesungguhnya engkau pada siang hari mempunyai urusan-urusan yang panjang kira bicaranya;
German 7:	Du hast ja gewiß während des Tages eine lange Beschäftigung.
Russian 7:	Воистину, днем ты бываешь подолгу занят.
Bosnian 7:	a ti danju, doista, imaš mnogo posla.
Urdu 7:	بے شک دن میں آپ کے لیے بڑا کام ہے
8	وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا
Transliteration 8:	Waothkuri isma rabbika watabattal ilayhi tabteelan
Yusuf Ali 8:	But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him whole-heartedly.
Shakir 8:	And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with (exclusive) devotion.
Pickthal 8:	So remember the name of thy Lord and devote thyself with a complete devotion -
Mohsin Khan: 8:	And remember the Name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with a complete devotion.
French 8:	Et rappelle-toi le nom de ton Seigneur et consacre-toi totalement à Lui,
Spanish 8:	¡Y menciona el nombre de tu Señor y conságrate totalmente a Él!
Indonesian 8:	Sebutlah nama Tuhanmu, dan beribadatlah kepada-Nya dengan penuh ketekunan.
Melayu 8:	Dan sebutlah (dengan lidah dan hati) akan nama Tuhanmu (terus menerus siang dan malam), serta tumpukanlah (amal ibadatmu) kepadaNya dengan sebulat-bulat tumpuan.
German 8:	Und gedenke des Namens deines Herrn und wende dich Ihm von ganzem Herzen zu.
Russian 8:	Поминай же имя Господа твоего и посвяти себя Ему полностью.
Bosnian 8:	I spominji ime Gospodara svoga i Njemu se potpuno posveti -
Urdu 8:	اور اپنے رب کا نام لیا کرو اور سب سے الگ ہو کر اسی کی طرف آ جاؤ
9	رَّبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا
Transliteration 9:	Rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi la ilaha illa huwa faittakhithhu wakeelan
Yusuf Ali 9:	(He is) Lord of the East and the West: there is no god but He: take Him therefore for (thy) Disposer of Affairs.
Shakir 9:	The Lord of the East and the West-- there is no god but He-- therefore take Him for a protector.
Pickthal 9:	Lord of the East and the West; there is no Allah save Him; so choose thou Him alone for thy defender -
Mohsin Khan: 9:	(He Alone is) the Lord of the east and the west; La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). So take Him Alone as Wakil (Disposer of your affairs).
French 9:	le Seigneur du Levant et du Couchant. Il n'y a point de divinité à part Lui. Prends-Le donc comme Protecteur.
Spanish 9:	El Señor del Oriente y del Occidente. No hay más dios que Él. ¡Tómale, pues, como protector!
Indonesian 9:	(Dia-lah) Tuhan masyrik dan maghrib, tiada Tuhan (yang berhak disembah) melainkan Dia, maka ambillah Dia sebagai pelindung.
Melayu 9:	Dialah Tuhan yang menguasai timur dan barat; tiada Tuhan melainkan Dia; maka jadikanlah Dia Penjaga yang menyempurnakan urusanmu.
German 9:	(Er ist) der Herr des Ostens und des Westens - es ist kein Gott außer Ihm; darum nimm Ihn zum Beschützer.
Russian 9:	Господь востока и запада – нет божества, кроме Него. Сделай же Его своим Попечителем и Хранителем.
Bosnian 9:	On je Gospodar istoka i zapada, nema boga osim Njega, i Njega uzmi za zaštitnika!
Urdu 9:	وہ مشرق اور مغرب کا مالک ہے اس کے سوا اور کوئی معبود نہیں پس اسی کو کارساز بنا لو
10	وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا
Transliteration 10:	Waisbir AAala ma yaqooloona waohjurhum hajran jameelan
Yusuf Ali 10:	And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity).
Shakir 10:	And bear patiently what they say and avoid them with a becoming avoidance.
Pickthal 10:	And bear with patience what they utter, and part from them with a fair leave-taking.
Mohsin Khan: 10:	And be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way.
French 10:	Et endure ce qu'ils disent; et écarte-toi d'eux d'une façon convenable.
Spanish 10:	¡Ten paciencia con lo que dicen y apártate de ellos discretamente!
Indonesian 10:	Dan bersabarlah terhadap apa yang mereka ucapkan dan jauhilah mereka dengan cara yang baik.
Melayu 10:	Dan bersabarlah terhadap apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu), dan jauhkanlah dirimu dari mereka dengan cara yang baik.
German 10:	Und ertrage in Geduld alles, was sie reden; und halte dich von ihnen in angenehmer Weise zurück.
Russian 10:	Терпимо относись к их словам и сторонись их красиво.
Bosnian 10:	I otrpi ono što oni govore i izbjegavaj ih na prikladan način,
Urdu 10:	اور کافروں کی باتوں پر صبر کرو اور انہیں عمدگی سے چھوڑ دو
11	وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا
Transliteration 11:	Watharnee waalmukaththibeena olee alnnaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleelan
Yusuf Ali 11:	And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while.
Shakir 11:	And leave Me and the rejecters, the possessors of ease and plenty, and respite them a little.
Pickthal 11:	Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile.
Mohsin Khan: 11:	And leave Me Alone to deal with the beliers (those who deny My Verses), those who are in possession of good things of life. And give them respite for a little while.
French 11:	Et laisse-moi avec ceux qui crient au mensonge et qui vivent dans l'aisance; et accorde-leur un court répit:
Spanish 11:	¡Déjame con los desmentidores, que gozan de las comodidades de la vida! ¡Concédeles aún una breve prórroga!
Indonesian 11:	Dan biarkanlah Aku (saja) bertindak terhadap orang-orang yang mendustakan itu, orang-orang yang mempunyai kemewahan dan beri tangguhlah mereka barang sebentar.
Melayu 11:	Dan biarkanlah Aku sahaja membalas orang-orang yang mendustakan (bawaanmu) itu, orang-orang yang berada dalam kemewahan dan berilah tempoh kepada mereka sedikit masa;
German 11:	Und überlaß Mir diejenigen, die (die Wahrheit) leugnen und sich des Wohllebens erfreuen; und gewähre ihnen eine kurze Frist.
Russian 11:	Оставь Меня с обвиняющими во лжи, которые пользуются мирскими благами, и предоставь им небольшую отсрочку.
Bosnian 11:	a Mene ostavi onima koji te u laž ugone, koji raskošno žive i daj im malo vremena;
Urdu 11:	اورمجھے اور جھٹلانے والے دولت مندوں کو چھوڑ دو اور انہیں تھوڑی سی مدت و مہلت دو
12	إِنَّ لَدَيْنَا أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا
Transliteration 12:	Inna ladayna ankalan wajaheeman
Yusuf Ali 12:	With Us are Fetters (to bind them), and a Fire (to burn them),
Shakir 12:	Surely with Us are heavy fetters and a flaming fire,
Pickthal 12:	Lo! with Us are heavy fetters and a raging fire,
Mohsin Khan: 12:	Verily, with Us are fetters (to bind them), and a raging Fire.
French 12:	Nous avons [pour eux] lourdes chaînes et Enfer,
Spanish 12:	Disponemos de cadenas y de fuego de gehena,
Indonesian 12:	Karena sesungguhnya pada sisi Kami ada belenggu-belenggu yang berat dan neraka yang bernyala-nyala,
Melayu 12:	Kerana sesungguhnya di sisi Kami disediakan (untuk mereka) belenggu-belenggu dan Neraka yang menjulang-julang,
German 12:	Bei Uns sind wahrlich Fesseln und Dschahim
Russian 12:	Воистину, есть у Нас оковы и Ад,
Bosnian 12:	biće u Nas, doista, okova i ognja,
Urdu 12:	بے شک ہمارے پاس بیڑیاں اور جہنم ہے
13	وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
Transliteration 13:	WataAAaman tha ghussatin waAAathaban aleeman
Yusuf Ali 13:	And a Food that chokes, and a Penalty Grievous.
Shakir 13:	And food that chokes and a painful punishment,
Pickthal 13:	And food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom
Mohsin Khan: 13:	And a food that chokes, and a painful torment.
French 13:	et nourriture à faire suffoquer, et châtiment douloureux.
Spanish 13:	de alimento que se atraganta y de castigo doloroso.
Indonesian 13:	dan makanan yang menyumbat di kerongkongan dan azab yang pedih.
Melayu 13:	Serta makanan yang menjadikan pemakannya tercekik dan azab seksa yang tidak terperi sakitnya.
German 13:	und erstickende Speise und schmerzliche Strafe
Russian 13:	еда, которой давятся, и мучительные страдания.
Bosnian 13:	i jela koje u grlu zastaje, i patnje nesnosne
Urdu 13:	اور گلے میں اٹکنے والا کھانا اور دردناک عذاب
14	يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا
Transliteration 14:	Yawma tarjufu alardu waaljibalu wakanati aljibalu katheeban maheelan
Yusuf Ali 14:	One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down.
Shakir 14:	On the day when the earth and the mountains shall quake and the mountains shall become (as) heaps of sand let loose.
Pickthal 14:	On the day when the earth and the hills rock, and the hills become a heap of running sand.
Mohsin Khan: 14:	On the Day when the earth and the mountains will be in violent shake, and the mountains will be a heap of sand poured out.
French 14:	Le jour où la terre et les montagnes trembleront, tandis que les montagnes deviendront comme une dune de sable dispersée.
Spanish 14:	El día que tiemblen la tierra y las montañas, y se conviertan las montañas en montones dispersos de arena...
Indonesian 14:	Pada hari bumi dan gunung-gunung bergoncangan, dan menjadilah gunung-gunung itu tumpukan-tumpukan pasir yang beterbangan.
Melayu 14:	(Azab itu tetap berlaku) pada hari bumi dan gunung-ganang bergoncang (serta hancur lebur) dan menjadilah gunung-ganang itu timbunan pasir yang mudah bersepah.
German 14:	an dem Tage, da die Erde und die Berge erbeben und die Berge ein Haufen zusammengesunkener Dünen sein werden.
Russian 14:	В тот день земля и горы сотрясутся, и горы превратятся в холмы сыпучего песка.
Bosnian 14:	na Dan kada se Zemlja i planine zatresu, i planine - pješčani humci razbacani postanu.
Urdu 14:	جس دن زمین اور پہاڑ لرزیں گے اور پہاڑ ریگ رواں کے تودے ہو جائیں گے
15	إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا
Transliteration 15:	Inna arsalna ilaykum rasoolan shahidan AAalaykum kama arsalna ila firAAawna rasoolan
Yusuf Ali 15:	We have sent to you, (O men!) an apostle, to be a witness concerning you, even as We sent an apostle to Pharaoh.
Shakir 15:	Surely We have sent to you a Messenger, a witness against you, as We sent a messenger to Firon.
Pickthal 15:	Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger.
Mohsin Khan: 15:	Verily, We have sent to you (O men) a Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to be a witness over you, as We did send a Messenger [Musa (Moses)] to Fir'aun (Pharaoh).
French 15:	Nous vous avons envoyé un Messager pour être témoin contre vous, de même que Nous avions envoyé un Messager à Pharaon.
Spanish 15:	Os hemos mandado un Enviado, testigo contra vosotros, como antes habíamos mandado un enviado a Faraón.
Indonesian 15:	Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutus kepada kamu (hai orang kafir Mekah) seorang Rasul, yang menjadi saksi terhadapmu, sebagaimana Kami telah mengutus (dahulu) seorang Rasul kepada Fir'aun.
Melayu 15:	Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutus kepada kamu (wahai umat Muhammad), seorang Rasul yang menjadi saksi terhadap kamu (tentang orang yang mematuhi atau menolak seruannya), sebagaimana Kami telah mengutus kepada Firaun seorang Rasul.
German 15:	Wahrlich, Wir haben euch einen Gesandten geschickt, der euer Zeuge ist, wie Wir zu Pharao einen Gesandten geschickt hatten.
Russian 15:	Мы отправили к вам Посланника свидетелем против вас, подобно тому, как отправили посланника к Фараону.
Bosnian 15:	Mi smo vam, zaista, poslali Poslanika da bi svjedočio protiv vas isto onako kao što smo i faraonu poslanika poslali,
Urdu 15:	ہم نے تمہاری طرف تم پر گواہی دینے والا ایک رسول بھیجا ہے کہ جس طرح فرعون کی طرف ایک رسول بھیجا تھا
16	فَعَصَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا
Transliteration 16:	FaAAasa firAAawnu alrrasoola faakhathnahu akhthan wabeelan
Yusuf Ali 16:	But Pharaoh disobeyed the apostle; so We seized him with a heavy Punishment.
Shakir 16:	But Firon disobeyed the messenger, so We laid on him a violent hold.
Pickthal 16:	But Pharaoh rebelled against the messenger, whereupon We seized him with no gentle grip.
Mohsin Khan: 16:	But Fir'aun (Pharaoh) disobeyed the Messenger [Musa (Moses)]; so We seized him with a severe punishment.
French 16:	Pharaon désobéit alors au Messager. Nous le saisîmes donc rudement.
Spanish 16:	Faraón desobedeció al enviado y le sorprendimos duramente.
Indonesian 16:	Maka Fir'aun mendurhakai Rasul itu, lalu Kami siksa dia dengan siksaan yang berat.
Melayu 16:	Maka Firaun menderhaka kepada Rasul itu, lalu Kami menyeksakannya dengan azab seksa yang seberat-beratnya.
German 16:	Doch Pharao widersetzte sich dem Gesandten; darum erfaßten Wir ihn mit einem schrecklichen Strafgericht.
Russian 16:	Фараон ослушался посланника, и Мы схватили его Хваткой суровой.
Bosnian 16:	ali faraon nije poslušao poslanika, pa smo ga teškom kaznom kaznili.
Urdu 16:	پھر فرعون نے اس رسول کی نافرمانی کی تو ہم نے اسے سخت پکڑ سے پکڑ لیا
17	فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبًا
Transliteration 17:	Fakayfa tattaqoona in kafartum yawman yajAAalu alwildana sheeban
Yusuf Ali 17:	Then how shall ye, if ye deny ((Allah)), guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary-headed?-
Shakir 17:	How, then, will you guard yourselves, if you disbelieve, on the day which shall make children grey-headed?

18	السَّمَاءُ مُنفَطِرٌ بِهِ ۚ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَفْعُولًا
Transliteration 18:	Alssamao munfatirun bihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan
Yusuf Ali 18:	Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished.
Shakir 18:	The heaven shall rend asunder thereby; His promise is ever brought to fulfillment.
Pickthal 18:	The very heaven being then rent asunder. His promise is to be fulfilled.
Mohsin Khan: 18:	Whereon the heaven will be cleft asunder? His Promise is certainly to be accomplished.

Transliteration 19:	Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 19:	Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord!
Shakir 19:	Surely this is a reminder, then let him, who will take the way to his Lord.
Pickthal 19:	Lo! This is a Reminder. Let him who will, then, choose a way unto his Lord.

20	۞ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَيِ اللَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُ وَثُلُثَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ مَعَكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۚ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ۚ عَلِمَ أَن سَيَكُونُ مِنكُم مَّرْضَىٰ ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يَضْرِبُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَبْتَغُونَ مِن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَآخَرُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ ۚ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا ۚ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Transliteration 20:	Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adna min thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu wathuluthahu wataifatun mina allatheena maAAaka waAllahu yuqaddiru allayla waalnnahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohu fataba AAalaykum faiqraoo ma tayassara mina alqurani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum marda waakharoona yadriboona fee alardi yabtaghoona min fadli Allahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi faiqraoo ma tayassara minhu waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waaqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan wama tuqaddimoo lianfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi huwa khayran waaAAthama ajran waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
Yusuf Ali 20:	Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah.s bounty; yet others fighting in Allah.s Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah.s Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah. for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Shakir 20:	Surely your Lord knows that you pass in prayer nearly two-thirds of the night, and (sometimes) half of it, and (sometimes) a third of it, and (also) a party of those with you; and Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are not able to do it, so He has turned to you (mercifully), therefore read what is easy of the Quran. He knows that there must be among you sick, and others who travel in the land seeking of the bounty of Allah, and others who fight in Allah's way, therefore read as much of it as is easy (to you), and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and offer to Allah a goodly gift, and whatever of good you send on beforehand for yourselves, you will find it with Allah; that is best and greatest in reward; and ask forgiveness of Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Pickthal 20:	Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur'an that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allah's bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Mohsin Khan: 20:	Verily, your Lord knows that you do stand (to pray at night) a little less than two thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and also a party of those with you. And Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are unable to pray the whole night, so He has turned to you (in mercy). So, recite you of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knows that there will be some among you sick, others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's Bounty, yet others fighting in Allah's Cause. So recite as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you), and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat ) and give Zakat, and lend to Allah a goodly loan. And whatever good you send before you for yourselves (i.e. Nawafil non-obligatory acts of worship: prayers, charity, fasting, Hajj and 'Umrah), you will certainly find it with Allah, better and greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful .
French 20:	Ton Seigneur sait, certes, que tu (Muhammad) te tiens debout moins de deux tiers de la nuit, ou sa moitié, ou son tiers. De même qu'une partie de ceux qui sont avec toi. Allah détermine la nuit et le jour. Il sait que vous ne saurez jamais passer toute la nuit en prière. Il a usé envers vous avec indulgence. Récitez donc ce qui [vous] est possible du Coran. Il sait qu'il y aura parmi vous des malades, et d'autres qui voyageront sur la terre, en quête de la grâce d'Allah, et d'autres encore qui combattront dans le chemin d'Allah. Récitez-en donc ce qui [vous] sera possible. Accomplissez la Salat, acquittez la Zakat, et faites à Allah un prêt sincère. Tout bien que vous vous préparez, vous le retrouverez auprès d'Allah, meilleur et plus grand en fait de récompense. Et implorez le pardon d'Allah. Car Allah est Pardonneur et Très Miséricordieux.
Spanish 20:	Tu Señor sabe que pasas en oración casi dos tercios de la noche, la mitad o un tercio de la misma, y lo mismo algunos de los que están contigo. Alá determina la noche y el día. Sabe que no vais a contarlo con exactitud y os perdona. ¡Recitad, pues, lo que buenamente podáis del Corán ! Sabe que entre vosotros habrá unos enfermos, otros de viaje por la tierra buscando el favor de Alá, otros combatiendo por Alá, ¡Recitad, pues, lo que buenamente podáis de él! ¡Haced la azalá! ¡Dad el azaque! ¡Haced un préstamo generoso a Alá! El bien que hagáis como anticipo para vosotros mismos, volveréis a encontrarlo junto a Alá como bien mejor y como recompensa mayor. ¡Y pedid el perdón de Alá! Alá es indulgente, misericordioso.
Indonesian 20:	Sesungguhnya Tuhanmu mengetahui bahwasanya kamu berdiri (sembahyang) kurang dari dua pertiga malam, atau seperdua malam atau sepertiganya dan (demikian pula) segolongan dari orang-orang yang bersama kamu. Dan Allah menetapkan ukuran malam dan siang. Allah mengetahui bahwa kamu sekali-kali tidak dapat menentukan batas-batas waktu-waktu itu, maka Dia memberi keringanan kepadamu, karena itu bacalah apa yang mudah (bagimu) dari Al Qur'an. Dia mengetahui bahwa akan ada di antara kamu orang-orang yang sakit dan orang-orang yang berjalan di muka bumi mencari sebagian karunia Allah; dan orang-orang yang lain lagi yang berperang di jalan Allah, maka bacalah apa yang mudah (bagimu) dari Al Qur'an dan dirikanlah sembahyang, tunaikanlah zakat dan berikanlah pinjaman kepada Allah pinjaman yang baik. Dan kebaikan apa saja yang kamu perbuat untuk dirimu niscaya kamu memperoleh (balasan)nya di sisi Allah sebagai balasan yang paling baik dan yang paling besar pahalanya. Dan mohonlah ampunan kepada Allah; sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.
Melayu 20:	Sesungguhnya Tuhanmu (wahai Muhammad) mengetahui bahawasanya engkau bangun (sembahyang Tahajjud) selama kurang dari dua pertiga malam dan selama satu perduanya dan selama satu pertiganya dan (demikian juga dilakukan oleh) segolongan dari orang-orang yang bersama-samamu (kerana hendak menepati perintah yang terdahulu); padahal Allah jualah yang menentukan dengan tepat kadar masa malam dan siang. Dia mengetahui bahawa kamu tidak sekali-kali akan dapat mengira dengan tepat kadar masa itu, lalu Dia menarik balik perintahNya yang terdahulu (dengan memberi kemudahan) kepada kamu; oleh itu bacalah mana-mana yang mudah kamu dapat membacanya dari Al-Quran (dalam sembahyang). Dia juga mengetahui bahawa akan ada di antara kamu orang-orang yang sakit dan yang lainnya orang-orang yang musafir di muka bumi untuk mencari rezeki dari limpah kurnia Allah dan yang lainnya lagi orang-orang yang berjuang pada jalan Allah (membela agamaNya). Maka bacalah mana-mana yang sudah kamu dapat membacanya dari Al-Quran dan dirikanlah sembahyang serta berikanlah zakat dan berilah pinjaman kepada Allah sebagai pinjaman yang baik (ikhlas) dan (ingatlah), apa jua kebaikan yang kamu kerjakan sebagai bekalan untuk diri kamu, tentulah kamu akan mendapat balasannya pada sisi Allah, -sebagai balasan yang sebaik-baiknya dan yang amat besar pahalanya dan mintalah ampun kepada Allah; sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengampun, lagi Maha Mengasihani.
German 20:	Dein Herr weiß wahrlich, daß du (im Gebet etwas) weniger als zwei Drittel der Nacht stehst und (manchmal) eine Hälfte oder ein Drittel (der Nacht), und ein Teil derer, die mit dir sind, (tut desgleichen). Und Allah bestimmt das Maß der Nacht und des Tages. Er weiß, daß ihr sie (die Ausdauer) nicht (immer) werdet aufbringen können. Darum hat Er Sich euch mit Nachsicht zugewandt. So tragt denn so viel vom Qur'an vor, wie es (euch) leicht fällt. Er weiß, daß einige unter euch sein werden, die krank sind, und andere, die im Lande umherreisen - nach Allahs Gnadenfülle strebend -, und wieder andere, die für Allahs Sache kämpfen. So tragt von ihm das vor, was (euch) leicht fällt, und verrichtet das Gebet und entrichtet die Zakah und gebt Allah ein gutes Darlehen. Und das, was ihr an Gutem für eure Seelen vorausschickt, werdet ihr bei Allah als besseren und größeren Lohn finden. Und bittet Allah um Vergebung. Wahrlich, Allah ist Allvergebend, Barmherzig
Russian 20:	Воистину, твой Господь знает, что ты и часть тех, кто с тобой, простаиваете менее двух третей ночи, или половину ее, или треть ее. Аллах определяет меру дня и ночи. Он знает, что вам не сосчитать этого, и принимает ваши покаяния. Читайте же из Корана то, что необременительно для вас. Он знает, что среди вас будут больные, что одни странствуют по земле в поисках милости Аллаха, а другие сражаются на пути Аллаха. Читайте же из него то, что необременительно для вас, совершайте намаз, раздавайте закят и одолжайте Аллаху прекрасный заем. Какое бы добро вы ни приготовили для себя заранее, вы найдете его у Аллаха в виде лучшего и большего вознаграждения. Просите же у Аллаха прощения, ведь Аллах – Прощающий, Милосердный.
Bosnian 20:	Gospodar tvoj, sigurno, zna da ti u molitvi provodiš manje od dvije trećine noći, polovinu njezinu ili trećinu njezinu, a i neki od onih koji su uz tebe. Allah određuje dužinu noći i dana, On zna da vi to ne umijete izračunati pa vam prašta, a vi iz Kur’ana učite ono što je lahko; On zna da će među vama biti bolesnih, i onih koji će po svijetu putovati i Allahove blagodati tražiti, i onih koji će se na Allahovu putu boriti - zato izgovarajte iz njega ono što vam je lahko, i molitvu obavljajte, i milostinju udjeljujte, i draga srca Allahu zajam dajte! A dobro koje za sebe unaprijed osigurate naći ćete kod Allaha još većim i dobićete još veću nagradu. I molite Allaha da vam oprosti, jer Allah prašta i milostiv je.
Urdu 20:	بے شک آپ کا رب جانتا ہے کہ آپ اور جو لوگ آپ کے ساتھ ہیں (کبھی) دو تہائی رات کے قریب اور (کبھی) آدھی رات اور (کبھی) تہائی رات سے (نماز تہجد) میں کھڑے ہوتے ہیں اور الله ہی رات اور دن کا اندازہ کرتا ہے اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم اس کو نباہ نہیں سکتے سو اس نے تم پر رحم کیا پس پڑھو جتنا قرآن میں سے آسان ہو اسے علم ہے کہ تم میں سے کچھ بیمار ہوں گے اور کچھ اور لوگ بھی جو الله کا فضل تلاش کرتے ہوئے زمین پر سفر کریں گے اورکچھ اور لوگ ہوں گے جو الله کی راہ میں جہاد کریں گے پس پڑھو جو اس میں سےآسان ہو اور نماز قائم کرو اور زکوةٰ دو اور الله کو اچھی طرح (یعنی اخلاص سے) قرض دو اورجو کچھ نیکی آگے بھیجوگے اپنے واسطے تو اس کو الله کے ہاں بہتر اور بڑے اجر کی چیز پاؤ گے اور الله سے بخشش مانگو بے شک الله بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے
