1	ق ۚ وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ
Transliteration 1:	Qaf waalqurani almajeedi
Yusuf Ali 1:	Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah.s Messenger..
Shakir 1:	Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)
Pickthal 1:	Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an,
Mohsin Khan: 1:	Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Qur'an.

Russian 1:	Каф. Клянусь славным Кораном!
Bosnian 1:	Kaf. Tako Mi Kur’ana slavnog,
Urdu 1:	قۤ۔ اس قرآن کی قسم جو بڑا شان والا ہے
2	بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَـٰذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
Transliteration 2:	Bal AAajiboo an jaahum munthirun minhum faqala alkafiroona hatha shayon AAajeebun
Yusuf Ali 2:	But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!
Shakir 2:	Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing:
Pickthal 2:	Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:
Mohsin Khan: 2:	Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!
French 2:	Mais ils s'étonnent que l'un des leurs leur vint comme avertisseur; et les mécréants dirent: ‹Ceci est une chose étonnante›.
Spanish 2:	Pero se asombran de que uno salido de ellos haya venido a advertirles. Y dicen los infieles: "¡Esto es algo asombroso!
Indonesian 2:	(Mereka tidak menerimanya) bahkan mereka tercengang karena telah datang kepada mereka seorang pemberi peringatan dari (kalangan) mereka sendiri, maka berkatalah orang-orang kafir: "Ini adalah suatu yang amat ajaib".
Melayu 2:	(Kaum musyrik Mekah bukan sahaja mengingkari kerasulannya) bahkan mereka merasa hairan kerana datang kepada mereka, dari kalangan mereka sendiri, seorang Rasul pemberi peringatan dan amaran (mengenai perkara hidup semula sesudah mati); lalu orang-orang yang kafir itu berkata: Ini adalah satu perkara yang menakjubkan!
German 2:	Aber sie staunen, daß zu ihnen ein Warner aus ihrer Mitte gekommen ist. Und die Ungläubigen sagen: "Das ist eine merkwürdige Sache.
Russian 2:	Но они были удивлены тем, что к ним явился предостерегающий увещеватель из них самих, и неверующие сказали: «Это – нечто удивительное!
Bosnian 2:	oni se čude što im je došao jedan od njih da ih opominje, pa, nevjernici, govore: "To je čudna stvar:
Urdu 2:	بلکہ وہ تعجب کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے پاس انہیں میں سے ایک ڈرانے والا آیا پس کافرو ں نے کہا کہ یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے
3	أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ۖ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ
Transliteration 3:	Aitha mitna wakunna turaban thalika rajAAun baAAeedun
Yusuf Ali 3:	"What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
Shakir 3:	What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return.
Pickthal 3:	When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!
Mohsin Khan: 3:	"When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return."
French 3:	Quoi! Quand nous serons morts et réduits en poussière...? Ce serait revenir de loin›!
Spanish 3:	¿Es que cuando muramos y seamos tierra...? Es volver de lejos..."
Indonesian 3:	Apakah kami setelah mati dan setelah menjadi tanah (kami akan kembali lagi)?, itu adalah suatu pengembalian yang tidak mungkin.
Melayu 3:	Adakah (kita akan kembali hidup) sesudah kita mati dan menjadi tanah? Itu adalah cara kembali yang jauh (dari kemungkinan, kerana jasad yang telah hancur tidak dapat diketahui lagi).
German 3:	Wie? Wenn wir tot sind und zu Staub geworden sind, (dann sollen wir wieder auferweckt werden)? Das ist eine Wiederkehr, die weit abseits liegt."
Russian 3:	Неужели это (воскрешение) произойдет после того, как умрем и станем прахом? Это возвращение невероятно!»
Bosnian 3:	zar kad pomremo i zemlja postanemo...? Nezamisliv je to povratak!"
Urdu 3:	کیا جب ہم مرجائیں گے اورمٹی ہو جائیں گے یہ دوبارہ زندگی بعید از قیاس ہے
4	قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ
Transliteration 4:	Qad AAalimna ma tanqusu alardu minhum waAAindana kitabun hafeethun
Yusuf Ali 4:	We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account).
Shakir 4:	We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves.
Pickthal 4:	We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
Mohsin Khan: 4:	We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees).
French 4:	Certes, Nous savons ce que la terre rongera d'eux [de leurs corps]; et Nous avons un Livre où tout est conservé.
Spanish 4:	Ya sabemos qué es lo que de ellos consume la tierra. Tenemos una Escritura que conserva.
Indonesian 4:	Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengetahui apa yang dihancurkan oleh bumi dari (tubuh-tubuh) mereka, dan pada sisi Kamipun ada kitab yang memelihara (mencatat).
Melayu 4:	(Apa yang mereka katakan itu tidaklah benar, kerana) Kami sedia mengetahui apa yang dimakan oleh bumi sedikit demi sedikit dari (tubuh orang mati) mereka, serta ada di sisi Kami sebuah Kitab yang menyimpan (catitan segala perkara yang berlaku).
German 4:	Wir wissen wohl, was die Erde von ihnen wegnimmt, und bei Uns ist ein Buch, das alles aufzeichnet.
Russian 4:	Мы знаем, что земля отнимает от них, и у Нас есть сохраняющее (или хранимое) Писание.
Bosnian 4:	Mi znamo šta će od njih zemlja oduzeti, u nas je Knjiga u kojoj se sve čuva.
Urdu 4:	ہمیں معلوم ہے جو زمین ان میں سے کم کرتی ہے اور ہمارے پاس ایک کتاب ہے جس میں سب کھچ محفوظ ہے
5	بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ
Transliteration 5:	Bal kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fahum fee amrin mareejin
Yusuf Ali 5:	But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state.
Shakir 5:	Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion.
Pickthal 5:	Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.
Mohsin Khan: 5:	Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Qur'an) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (cannot differentiate between right and wrong).
French 5:	Plutòt, ils traitent de mensonge la vérité qui leur est venue: les voilà donc dans une situation confuse.
Spanish 5:	Pero han desmentido la Verdad cuando ha venido a ellos y se encuentran en un estado de confusión.
Indonesian 5:	Sebenarnya, mereka telah mendustakan kebenaran tatkala kebenaran itu datang kepada mereka, maka mereka berada dalam keadaan kacau balau.
Melayu 5:	(Mereka tidak mahu berfikir betul) bahkan mereka (terburu-buru) mendustakan kebenaran apabila sahaja sampainya kepada mereka; oleh sebab itu, mereka berada dalam keadaan yang serba kacau.
German 5:	Nein, sie haben die Wahrheit, als sie zu ihnen kam, für eine Lüge erklärt, und nun befinden sie sich in einem Zustand der Verwirrung.
Russian 5:	Но они сочли ложью истину, когда она явилась к ним, и теперь они находятся в замешательстве.
Bosnian 5:	Oni, međutim, poriču Istinu koja im dolazi i smeteni su.
Urdu 5:	بلکہ انہوں نے حق کو جھٹلایا جب کہ وہ ان کے پاس آیا پس وہ ایک الجھی ہوئی بات میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں
6	أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ
Transliteration 6:	Afalam yanthuroo ila alssamai fawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannaha wama laha min furoojin
Yusuf Ali 6:	Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
Shakir 6:	Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
Pickthal 6:	Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
Mohsin Khan: 6:	Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it?
French 6:	N'ont-ils donc pas observé le ciel au-dessus d'eux, comment Nous l'avons bâti et embelli; et comment il est sans fissures?
Spanish 6:	¿No ven el cielo que tienen encima, cómo lo hemos edificado y engalanado y no se ha agrietado?
Indonesian 6:	Maka apakah mereka tidak melihat akan langit yang ada di atas mereka, bagaimana Kami meninggikannya dan menghiasinya dan langit itu tidak mempunyai retak-retak sedikitpun?
Melayu 6:	(Kalaulah mereka menyangka Kami tidak berkuasa mengembalikan mereka hidup semula) maka tidakkah mereka memandang ke langit yang ada di sebelah atas mereka (dengan tidak bertiang) bagaimana Kami membinanya (dengan rapi) serta Kami menghiasinya (dengan bintang-bintang) dan dengan keadaan tidak ada padanya retak-renggang?
German 6:	Haben sie nicht zum Himmel über ihnen emporgeschaut, wie Wir ihn erbaut und geschmückt haben und daß er keine Risse aufweist?
Russian 6:	Неужели они не смотрели на то, как Мы построили и украсили небо над ними? В нем нет расщелин.
Bosnian 6:	A zašto ne pogledaju nebo iznad sebe? - kako smo ga sazdali i ukrasili i kako u njemu nema nereda!
Urdu 6:	پس کیا انہوں نے غور سے اپنے اوپر آسمان کو نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے کس طرح اسے بنایا اور آراستہ کیا ہے اور اس میں کوئی بھی شگاف نہیں
7	وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ
Transliteration 7:	Waalarda madadnaha waalqayna feeha rawasiya waanbatna feeha min kulli zawjin baheejin
Yusuf Ali 7:	And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-
Shakir 7:	And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds,
Pickthal 7:	And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,
Mohsin Khan: 7:	And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants).
French 7:	Et la terre, Nous l'avons étendue et Nous y avons enfoncé fermement des montagnes et y avons fait pousser toutes sortes de magnifiques couples de [végétaux],
Spanish 7:	Hemos extendido la tierra, colocado en ella firmes montañas y hecho crecer en ella toda especie primorosa,
Indonesian 7:	Dan Kami hamparkan bumi itu dan Kami letakkan padanya gunung-gunung yang kokoh dan Kami tumbuhkan padanya segala macam tanaman yang indah dipandang mata,
Melayu 7:	Dan juga (keadaan) bumi ini, (bagaimana) Kami bentangkan ia sebagai hamparan, dan Kami letakkan padanya gunung-ganang yang terdiri kukuh, serta Kami tumbuhkan padanya pelbagai jenis tanaman yang indah subur?
German 7:	Und die Erde - Wir haben sie ausgebreitet und feste Berge darauf gesetzt; und Wir ließen auf ihr all die herrlichen Paare hervorsprießen
Russian 7:	Мы простерли землю, установили на ней незыблемые горы и взрастили на ней всякие великолепные пары растений
Bosnian 7:	A Zemlju smo rasprostrli i po njoj nepomična brda pobacali i dali da iz nje niče raznovrsno prekrasno bilje,
Urdu 7:	اور ہم نے زمین کو بچھا دیا اوراس میں مضبوط ڈال دیے اور اس میں ہر قسم کی خوشنما چیزیں اگائیں
8	تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ
Transliteration 8:	Tabsiratan wathikra likulli AAabdin muneebin
Yusuf Ali 8:	To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah..
Shakir 8:	To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).
Pickthal 8:	A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.
Mohsin Khan: 8:	An insight and a Reminder for every slave who turns to Allah in repentance (i.e. the one who believes in the Oneness of Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon).
French 8:	à titre d'appel à la clairvoyance et un rappel pour tout serviteur repentant.
Spanish 8:	como ilustración y amonestación para todo siervo arrepentido.
Indonesian 8:	untuk menjadi pelajaran dan peringatan bagi tiap-tiap hamba yang kembali (mengingat Allah).
Melayu 8:	(Kami adakan semuanya itu) untuk menjadi perhatian dan peringatan, (yang menunjukkan jalan kebenaran), kepada tiap-tiap seorang hamba Allah yang mahu kembali kepadaNya (dengan taat dan berbakti).
German 8:	als Aufklärung und Ermahnung für jeden Diener, der sich bekehrt.
Russian 8:	для разъяснения и напоминания каждому рабу, который обращается к Аллаху.
Bosnian 8:	da bi razmislio i opomenuo se svaki rob koji se Gospodaru svome obraća.
Urdu 8:	ہر رجوع کرے والے بندے کے لیے بصیرت اور نصیحت ہے
9	وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً مُّبَارَكًا فَأَنبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ
Transliteration 9:	Wanazzalna mina alssamai maan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatin wahabba alhaseedi
Yusuf Ali 9:	And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests;
Shakir 9:	And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped,
Pickthal 9:	And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,
Mohsin Khan: 9:	And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped.
French 9:	Et Nous avons fait descendre du ciel une eau bénie, avec laquelle Nous avons fait pousser des jardins et le grain qu'on moissonne,
Spanish 9:	Hemos hecho bajar del cielo agua bendita, mediante la cual hacemos que crezcan jardines y el grano de la cosecha,
Indonesian 9:	Dan Kami turunkan dari langit air yang banyak manfa'atnya lalu Kami tumbuhkan dengan air itu pohon-pohon dan biji-biji tanaman yang diketam,
Melayu 9:	Dan juga Kami telah menurunkan dari langit air (hujan) yang banyak faedahnya, lalu Kami tumbuhkan dengan air itu pokok-pokok tanaman (buah-buahan) dan biji-bijian yang dituai;
German 9:	Und vom Himmel senden Wir Wasser hernieder, das voll des Segens ist, und bringen damit Gärten und Korn zum Ernten hervor
Russian 9:	Мы ниспослали с неба благословенную воду и взрастили посредством нее сады и зерна собранного урожая,
Bosnian 9:	Mi s neba spuštamo vodu kao blagoslov, i činimo da, uz pomoć njenu, niču vrtovi i žito koje se žanje
Urdu 9:	اور ہم نے آسمان سے برکت والا پانی اتارا پھر ہم پھر ہم نے اس کے ذریعے سے باغ اگائے اور اناج جن کے کھیت کاٹے جاتے ہیں
10	وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
Transliteration 10:	Waalnnakhla basiqatin laha talAAun nadeedun
Yusuf Ali 10:	And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;-
Shakir 10:	And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another,
Pickthal 10:	And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters,
Mohsin Khan: 10:	And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters.
French 10:	ainsi que les hauts palmiers aux régimes superposés,
Spanish 10:	esbeltas palmeras de apretados racimos,
Indonesian 10:	dan pohon kurma yang tinggi-tinggi yang mempunyai mayang yang bersusun-susun,
Melayu 10:	Serta pohon-pohon kurma yang tinggi menjulang, yang mengeluarkan mayang, berlapis-lapis, lagi lebat putiknya;
German 10:	und hochragende Palmen mit dicht stehenden Fruchtscheiden
Russian 10:	и высокие пальмы с висящими рядами плодами.
Bosnian 10:	i visoke palme u kojih su zameci nagomilani jedni iznad drugih,
Urdu 10:	او رلمبی لمبی کھجوریں جن کے خوشے تہہ بہ تہہ ہیں
11	رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ ۖ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا ۚ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ
Transliteration 11:	Rizqan lilAAibadi waahyayna bihi baldatan maytan kathalika alkhurooju
Yusuf Ali 11:	As sustenance for ((Allah)'s) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection.
Shakir 11:	A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising.
Pickthal 11:	Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.
Mohsin Khan: 11:	A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead).
French 11:	comme subsistance pour les serviteurs. Et par elle (l'eau) Nous avons redonné la vie à une contrée morte. Ainsi se fera la résurrection.
Spanish 11:	para sustento de los siervos. Y, gracias a ella, devolvemos la vida a un país muerto. Así será la Resurrección.
Indonesian 11:	untuk menjadi rezki bagi hamba-hamba (Kami), dan Kami hidupkan dengan air itu tanah yang mati (kering). Seperti itulah terjadinya kebangkitan.
Melayu 11:	(Semuanya itu) sebagai rezeki bagi hamba-hamba Kami dan lagi Kami telah hidupkan dengan air itu bumi yang mati; demikianlah pula keadaan keluarnya (orang-orang yang mati dari kubur setelah dibangkitkan hidup semula).
German 11:	als Versorgung für die Diener; und Wir beleben damit ein totes Land. So wird die Auferstehung sein.
Russian 11:	Таково пропитание для рабов. Мы оживили ею мертвую землю. Таким же будет выход из могил!
Bosnian 11:	kao hranu robovima, i Mi njome oživljavamo mrtav predjel; takvo će biti i oživljenje.
Urdu 11:	بندوں کے لیے روزی اورہم نے اس سے ایک مردہ بستی کو زندہ کیا دوبارہ نکلنا اس طرح ہے
12	كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ
Transliteration 12:	Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin waashabu alrrassi wathamoodu
Yusuf Ali 12:	Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud,
Shakir 12:	(Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood,
Pickthal 12:	The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,
Mohsin Khan: 12:	Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and Thamud;
French 12:	Avant eux, le peuple de Noé, les gens d'Ar-Rass et les Tamud crièrent au mensonge,
Spanish 12:	Antes de ello, ya habían desmentido el pueblo de Noé, los habitantes de ar-Ras, los tamudeos,
Indonesian 12:	Sebelum mereka telah mendustakan (pula) kaum Nuh dan penduduk Rass dan Tsamud,
Melayu 12:	Sebelum mereka (yang menentang Nabi Muhammad) itu kaum Nabi Nuh dan "Ashaabur-Rassi" serta Thamud (kaum Nabi Soleh), telah juga mendustakan Rasul masing-masing,
German 12:	Schon vor ihnen leugneten das Volk Noahs und das Volk des Brunnens und die Thamud
Russian 12:	До них сочли лжецами посланников народ Нуха (Ноя), жители Расса и самудяне,
Bosnian 12:	Prije njih poricali su narod Nuhov, i stanovnici Ressa, i Semud
Urdu 12:	ان سے پہلے قوم نوح اور کنوئیں والوں نے اور قوم ثمود نے جھٹلایا
13	وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ
Transliteration 13:	WaAAadun wafirAAawnu waikhwanu lootin
Yusuf Ali 13:	The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut,
Shakir 13:	And Ad and Firon and Lut's brethren,
Pickthal 13:	And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,
Mohsin Khan: 13:	And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lut (Lot);
French 13:	de même que les Aad et Pharaon et les frères de Lot,
Spanish 13:	los aditas, Faraón, los hermanos de Lot,
Indonesian 13:	dan kaum 'Aad, kaum Fir'aun dan kaum Luth,
Melayu 13:	Dan juga Aad (kaum Nabi Hud) dan Firaun, serta kaum Nabi Lut,
German 13:	und die 'Ad und Pharao und die Brüder des Lot
Russian 13:	адиты, народ Фараона и братья Лута (Лота),
Bosnian 13:	i Ad, i narod faraonov, i narod Lutov,
Urdu 13:	اور قوم عاد اور فرعون اور قوم لوط نے
14	وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ ۚ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ
Transliteration 14:	Waashabu alaykati waqawmu tubbaAAin kullun kaththaba alrrusula fahaqqa waAAeedi
Yusuf Ali 14:	The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the apostles, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).
Shakir 14:	And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the messengers, so My threat came to pass.
Pickthal 14:	And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.
Mohsin Khan: 14:	And the Dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'. Everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect.
French 14:	et les gens d'Al-Aïka et le peuple de Tubbaa. Tous traitèrent les Messagers de menteurs. C'est ainsi que Ma menace se justifia.
Spanish 14:	los habitantes de la Espesura y el pueblo de Tubba. Todos ellos desmintieron a los enviados. Y se cumplió Mi amenaza.
Indonesian 14:	dan penduduk Aikah serta kaum Tubba', semuanya telah mendustakan rasul-rasul maka sudah semestinyalah mereka mendapat hukuman yang sudah diancamkan.
Melayu 14:	Dan juga penduduk "Aikah", serta kaum "Tubba'"; tiap-tiap satu kaum itu telah mendustakan Rasul-rasul (yang diutus kepadanya), lalu mereka ditimpa azab yang Aku janjikan.
German 14:	und die Waldbewohner und das Volk von Tubba'. Alle diese haben die Gesandten der Lüge bezichtigt. Darum war Meine Drohung in Erfüllung gegangen.
Russian 14:	жители Айки и народ Тубба (Тобба). Все они сочли лжецами посланников, и сбылась Моя угроза.
Bosnian 14:	i stanovnici Ejke i narod Tubba; svi su oni poslanike lažnim smatrali i kaznu Moju zaslužili.
Urdu 14:	اور بن والو ں اور قوم تبعّ نے ہر ایک نےرسولوں کو جھٹلایا تو ہمارا وعدہ عذاب ثابت ہوا
15	أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ
Transliteration 15:	AfaAAayeena bialkhalqi alawwali bal hum fee labsin min khalqin jadeedin
Yusuf Ali 15:	Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?
Shakir 15:	Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation.
Pickthal 15:	Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
Mohsin Khan: 15:	Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, they are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection).
French 15:	Quoi? Avons-Nous été fatigué par la première création? Mais ils sont dans la confusion [au sujet] d'une création nouvelle.
Spanish 15:	¿Es que Nos cansó la primera creación? Pues ellos dudan de una nueva creación.
Indonesian 15:	Maka apakah Kami letih dengan penciptaan yang pertama? Sebenarnya mereka dalam keadaan ragu-ragu tentang penciptaan yang baru.
Melayu 15:	(Setelah mereka melihat dan memerhatikan makhluk-makhluk yang Kami ciptakan itu) maka adakah Kami telah lemah dengan ciptaan yang pertama itu (sehingga Kami tidak dapat mengadakannya semula? Tidak! Dan merekapun tidak mengingkari kekuasaan Kami). Bahkan mereka berada dalam keadaan keliru dan ragu-ragu tentang ciptaan makhluk-makhluk (hidup semula) dalam bentuk yang baru.
German 15:	Sind Wir denn durch die erste Schöpfung ermüdet? Nein, aber sie sind sich nicht im klaren über eine neue Schöpfung.
Russian 15:	Разве Мы изнемогли после первого сотворения? Но они сомневаются в новом сотворении (воскрешении).
Bosnian 15:	Pa zar smo prilikom prvog stvaranja malaksali? Ne, ali oni u ponovno stvaranje sumnjaju.
Urdu 15:	کی ہم پہلی بار پیدا کرنے میں تھک گئے ہیں (نہیں) بلکہ وہ از سرِ نو پیدا کرنے کے متعلق شک میں ہیں
16	وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ
Transliteration 16:	Walaqad khalaqna alinsana wanaAAlamu ma tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi min habli alwareedi
Yusuf Ali 16:	It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.
Shakir 16:	And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein.
Pickthal 16:	We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
Mohsin Khan: 16:	And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge).

17	إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ
Transliteration 17:	Ith yatalaqqa almutalaqqiyani AAani alyameeni waAAani alshshimali qaAAeedun
Yusuf Ali 17:	Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left.
Shakir 17:	When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left.
Pickthal 17:	When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,
Mohsin Khan: 17:	(Remember) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions).

18	مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ
Transliteration 18:	Ma yalfithu min qawlin illa ladayhi raqeebun AAateedun
Yusuf Ali 18:	Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it).
Shakir 18:	He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand.
Pickthal 18:	He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.
Mohsin Khan: 18:	Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).
French 18:	Il ne prononce pas une parole sans avoir auprès de lui un observateur prêt à l'inscrire.
Spanish 18:	no pronunciará ninguna palabra que no tenga siempre a su lado a un observador preparado.

19	وَجَاءَتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ
Transliteration 19:	Wajaat sakratu almawti bialhaqqi thalika ma kunta minhu taheedu
Yusuf Ali 19:	And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!"
Shakir 19:	And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape.
Pickthal 19:	And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.
Mohsin Khan: 19:	And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!"
French 19:	L'agonie de la mort fait apparaître la vérité: ‹Voilà ce dont tu t'écartais›.
Spanish 19:	La agonía del moribundo traerá la Verdad: "¡Ahí tienes lo que rehuías!"
Indonesian 19:	Dan datanglah sakaratulmaut dengan sebenar-benarnya. Itulah yang kamu selalu lari daripadanya.
Melayu 19:	Dan (apabila sampai ajal seseorang) datanglah "Sakaratulmuat" membawa kebenaran (yang telah dijanjikan, serta dikatakan kepada yang mengingkarinya sebelum itu): Inilah perkara yang engkau selalu mengelak diri daripadanya!
German 19:	und es kam die Benommenheit des Todeskampfes in Gerechtigkeit: "Das ist es, dem du zu entrinnen suchtest."
Russian 19:	Смертельная агония явится с истиной. Вот то, чего ты избегал!
Bosnian 19:	Smrtne muke će zbilja doći - to je nešto od čega ne možeš pobjeći
Urdu 19:	اور موت کی بے ہوشی تو ضرور آ کر رہے گی یہی ہے وہ جس سے تو گریز کرتا تھا
20	وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ
Transliteration 20:	Wanufikha fee alssoori thalika yawmu alwaAAeedi
Yusuf Ali 20:	And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given).
Shakir 20:	And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening.
Pickthal 20:	And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.
Mohsin Khan: 20:	And the Trumpet will be blown - that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
French 20:	Et l'on soufflera dans la Trompe: Voilà le jour de la Menace.
Spanish 20:	Se tocará la trompeta. Ése es el día de la Amenaza.
Indonesian 20:	Dan ditiuplah sangkakala. Itulah hari terlaksananya ancaman.

German 20:	Und es wird in den Sur gestoßen: "Dies ist der Tag der Drohung."
Russian 20:	И подуют в Рог. Это – День угрозы!
Bosnian 20:	i u rog će se puhnuti - to je Dan kojim se prijeti -
Urdu 20:	اور صور میں پھونکا جائے گا وعدہ عذاب کا دن یہی ہے
21	وَجَاءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ
Transliteration 21:	Wajaat kullu nafsin maAAaha saiqun washaheedun
Yusuf Ali 21:	And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness.
Shakir 21:	And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness.
Pickthal 21:	And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness.
Mohsin Khan: 21:	And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him) and an (angel) to bear witness.
French 21:	Alors chaque âme viendra accompagnée d'un conducteur et d'un témoin.

Russian 21:	И каждая душа явится вместе с погонщиком и свидетелем.
Bosnian 21:	i svako će doći, a s njim i vodič i svjedok.
Urdu 21:	اور ہر ایک شخص آئے گا اس کے ساتھ ایک ہانکنے والا اورایک گواہی دینے والا ہوگا
22	لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
Transliteration 22:	Laqad kunta fee ghaflatin min hatha fakashafna AAanka ghitaaka fabasaruka alyawma hadeedun
Yusuf Ali 22:	(It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!"
Shakir 22:	Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp.
Pickthal 22:	(And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.
Mohsin Khan: 22:	(It will be said to the sinners): "Indeed you were heedless of this. Now We have removed from you your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!"
French 22:	‹Tu restais indifférent à cela. Et bien, Nous òtons ton voile; ta vue est perçante aujourd'hui.
Spanish 22:	"Estas cosas te traían sin cuidado. Te hemos quitado el velo y, hoy, tu vista es penetrante".
Indonesian 22:	Sesungguhnya kamu berada dalam keadaan lalai dari (hal) ini, maka Kami singkapkan daripadamu tutup (yang menutupi) matamu, maka penglihatanmu pada hari itu amat tajam.
Melayu 22:	(Serta dikatakan kepadanya): Demi sesungguhnya! Engkau di dunia dahulu berada dalam keadaan lalai tentang (perkara hari) ini, maka kami hapuskan kelalaian yang menyelubungimu itu, lalu pandanganmu pada hari ini menjadi tajam (dapat menyaksikan dengan jelasnya perkara-perkara hari akhirat).
German 22:	"Wahrlich, du warst dessen ahnungslos gewesen; nun haben Wir deine Augenbinde von dir genommen, so daß dein Blick heute scharf ist."
Russian 22:	Ты был беспечен к этому, но Мы сорвали с тебя твое покрывало, и острым является сегодня твой взор.
Bosnian 22:	"Ti nisi mario za ovo, pa smo ti skinuli koprenu tvoju, danas ti je oštar vid."
Urdu 22:	بے شک تو تو اس دن سے غفلت میں رہا پس ہم نے تجھ سے تیرا پردہ دور کر دیا پس تیری نگاہ آج بڑی تیز ہے
23	وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَـٰذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ
Transliteration 23:	Waqala qareenuhu hatha ma ladayya AAateedun
Yusuf Ali 23:	And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!"
Shakir 23:	And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me.
Pickthal 23:	And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).
Mohsin Khan: 23:	And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!"
French 23:	Et son compagnon dira: ‹Voilà ce qui est avec moi, tout prêt›..
Spanish 23:	Su compañero dirá: "Esto es lo que tengo preparado".
Indonesian 23:	Dan yang menyertai dia berkata: "Inilah (catatan amalnya) yang tersedia pada sisiku".
Melayu 23:	Dan berkatalah malaikat yang sentiasa ada bersama-samanya: Inilah (Kitab catitan iman dan amal) orang yang terletak dalam jagaanku, siap sedia (untuk dibicarakan).
German 23:	Und sein Gefährte spricht: "Hier (ist), was ich bereit habe."
Russian 23:	Его товарищ (ангел) скажет: «Вот то, что подготовлено у меня».
Bosnian 23:	A drug njegov će reći: "Ovaj, pored mene, spreman je."
Urdu 23:	اور اس کا ساتھی کہے گا یہ ہے جو میرے پاس تیار ہے (حکم ہوگ)
24	أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
Transliteration 24:	Alqiya fee jahannama kulla kaffarin AAaneedin
Yusuf Ali 24:	(The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah.!-
Shakir 24:	Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one,
Pickthal 24:	(And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,
Mohsin Khan: 24:	(Allah will say to the angels): "Both of you throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers).
French 24:	‹Vous deux, jetez dans l'Enfer tout mécréant endurci et rebelle,
Spanish 24:	"¡Arrojad a la gehena a todo infiel pertinaz, desviado,
Indonesian 24:	Allah berfirman: "Lemparkanlah olehmu berdua ke dalam neraka semua orang yang sangat ingkar dan keras kepala,
Melayu 24:	(Setelah tiap-tiap orang dibicarakan, Allah berfirman kepada kedua malaikat yang menjadi pembawa dan saksi itu): Humbankanlah oleh kamu berdua, ke dalam Neraka Jahannam tiap-tiap orang yang tetap degil dalam kekufurannya; -
German 24:	"Werft ihr beide in Dschahannam einen jeden undankbaren Hartnäckigen,
Russian 24:	Вдвоем бросайте в Геенну каждого упрямого неверующего,
Bosnian 24:	"Baci u Džehennem svakog nezahvalnika, inadžiju,
Urdu 24:	تم دونوں ہر کافر سرکش کو دوزخ میں ڈال دو
25	مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ
Transliteration 25:	MannaAAin lilkhayri muAAtadin mureebin
Yusuf Ali 25:	"Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions;
Shakir 25:	Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter,
Pickthal 25:	Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
Mohsin Khan: 25:	"Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,
French 25:	acharné à empêcher le bien, transgresseur, douteur,
Spanish 25:	adversario del bien, violador de la ley, escéptico,
Indonesian 25:	yang sangat enggan melakukan kebaikan, melanggar batas lagi ragu-ragu,
Melayu 25:	Yang sering menghalangi jenis kebajikan, yang melanggar hukum agama, lagi yang meragukan kebenaran,
German 25:	den Behinderer des Guten, den Ubertreter, den Zweifler,
Russian 25:	который отказывал в добре, совершал преступления и терзался сомнениями,
Bosnian 25:	koji je branio da se čine dobra djela i koji je nasilnik i podozriv bio,
Urdu 25:	جو نیکی سےروکنے والا حد سےبڑھنے والا شک کرنے والا ہے
26	الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ
Transliteration 26:	Allathee jaAAala maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara faalqiyahu fee alAAathabi alshshadeedi
Yusuf Ali 26:	"Who set up another god beside Allah. Throw him into a severe penalty."
Shakir 26:	Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement.
Pickthal 26:	Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.
Mohsin Khan: 26:	"Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah. Then both of you cast him in the severe torment."
French 26:	celui qui plaçait à còté d'Allah une autre divinité. Jetez-le donc dans le dur châtiment›.
Spanish 26:	que ponía, junto con Alá, a otro dios! ¡Arrojadlo al castigo severo!"
Indonesian 26:	yang menyembah sembahan yang lain beserta Allah, maka lemparkanlah dia ke dalam siksaan yang sangat".
Melayu 26:	Yang menyembah benda yang lain bersama-sama Allah; maka humbankanlah oleh kamu berdua akan dia ke dalam azab seksa yang seberat-beratnya.
German 26:	der einen anderen Gott neben Allah setzte. Werft denn ihr beide ihn in die schreckliche Pein!"
Russian 26:	который признавал наряду с Аллахом другого бога. Бросайте их в тяжкие мучения!»
Bosnian 26:	koji je pored Allaha u drugog boga vjerovao - zato ga baci u patnju najtežu!"
Urdu 26:	جس نے الله کے ساتھ کوئی دوسرا معبود ٹھیرایا پس اسے سخت عذاب میں ڈال دو
27	۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
Transliteration 27:	Qala qareenuhu rabbana ma atghaytuhu walakin kana fee dalalin baAAeedin
Yusuf Ali 27:	His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray."
Shakir 27:	His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error.
Pickthal 27:	His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he was (himself) far gone in error.
Mohsin Khan: 27:	His companion (Satan - devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgression, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray."
French 27:	Son camarade (le Diable) dira: ‹Seigneur, ce n'est pas moi qui l'ai fait transgresser; mais il était déjà dans un profond égarement›.
Spanish 27:	Su compañero dirá: "¡Señor! No soy yo quien le hizo rebelarse, sino que él estaba ya profundamente extraviado".
Indonesian 27:	Yang menyertai dia berkata (pula): "Ya Tuhan kami, aku tidak menyesatkannya tetapi dialah yang berada dalam kesesatan yang jauh".
Melayu 27:	(Semasa dia dihumbankan ke dalam Neraka Jahannam, dia mendakwa bahawa Syaitanlah yang menjadikan dia sesat; pada saat itu) Syaitan yang sentiasa menyertainya (di dunia dahulu) berkata: Wahai Tuhan kami, aku tidak menyesatkannya tetapi sememangnya dia sendiri berada di dalam kesesatan yang jauh terpesong.
German 27:	Sein Gefährte spricht: "O unser Herr, ich verführte ihn nicht zur Empörung, sondern er selbst ging zu weit in die Irre."
Russian 27:	Его товарищ (дьявол) скажет: «Господь наш! Я не сбивал его с пути. Он сам находился в глубоком заблуждении».
Bosnian 27:	A drug njegov će reći: "Gospodaru naš, ja ga nisam silom zaveo, sam je u velikoj zabludi bio."
Urdu 27:	اس کا ہم نشین کہے گا اے ہمارے رب میں نے اسے گمراہ نہیں کیا تھا بلکہ وہ خود ہی بڑی گمراہی میں پڑا ہوا تھا
28	قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ
Transliteration 28:	Qala la takhtasimoo ladayya waqad qaddamtu ilaykum bialwaAAeedi
Yusuf Ali 28:	He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning.
Shakir 28:	He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand:
Pickthal 28:	He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.
Mohsin Khan: 28:	Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already in advance sent you the threat.
French 28:	Alors [Allah] dira: ‹Ne vous disputez pas devant moi! Alors que Je vous ai déjà fait part de la menace.
Spanish 28:	Dirá: "¡No discutáis ante Mí! Ya os amenacé por anticipado.
Indonesian 28:	Allah berfirman: "Janganlah kamu bertengkar di hadapan-Ku, padahal sesungguhnya Aku dahulu telah memberikan ancaman kepadamu".
Melayu 28:	Allah berfirman: Janganlah kamu berbalah lagi di hadapanKu, (tidak ada gunanya berbalah pada masa Aku membuat keputusan); padahal (kamu sedia mengetahui bahawa) Aku dahulu telah memberi amaran kepada kamu (akan menyeksa orang-orang yang bersalah).

29	مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ
Transliteration 29:	Ma yubaddalu alqawlu ladayya wama ana bithallamin lilAAabeedi
Yusuf Ali 29:	"The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants."
Shakir 29:	My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants.
Pickthal 29:	The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.
Mohsin Khan: 29:	The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust to the slaves."

Transliteration 30:	Yawma naqoolu lijahannama hali imtalati wataqoolu hal min mazeedin
Yusuf Ali 30:	One Day We will ask Hell, "Art thou filled to the full?" It will say, "Are there any more (to come)?"
Shakir 30:	On the day that We will say to hell: Are you filled up? And it will say: Are there any more?
Pickthal 30:	On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come?
Mohsin Khan: 30:	On the Day when We will say to Hell: "Are you filled?" It will say: "Are there any more (to come)?"

31	وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ
Transliteration 31:	Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena ghayra baAAeedin
Yusuf Ali 31:	And the Garden will be brought nigh to the Righteous,- no more a thing distant.
Shakir 31:	And the garden shall be brought near to those who guard (against evil), not far off:
Pickthal 31:	And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.
Mohsin Khan: 31:	And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2), not far off.

32	هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ
Transliteration 32:	Hatha ma tooAAadoona likulli awwabin hafeethin
Yusuf Ali 32:	(A voice will say:) "This is what was promised for you,- for every one who turned (to Allah. in sincere repentance, who kept (His Law),
Shakir 32:	This is what you were promised, (it is) for every one who turns frequently (to Allah), keeps (His limits);
Pickthal 32:	(And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,
Mohsin Khan: 32:	(It will be said): "This is what you were promised - (it is) for those oft-returning (to Allah) in sincere repentance, and those who preserve their covenant with Allah (by obeying Him in all what He has ordered, and worshipping none but Allah Alone, i.e. follow Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism).

Yusuf Ali 33:	"Who feared ((Allah)) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him):
Shakir 33:	Who fears the Beneficent Allah in secret and comes with a penitent heart:
Pickthal 33:	Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.
Mohsin Khan: 33:	"Who feared the Most Gracious (Allah) in the Ghaib (Unseen) and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him and absolutely free from each and every kind of polytheism).
French 33:	qui redoute le Tout Miséricordieux bien qu'il ne Le voit pas, et qui vient [vers Lui] avec un coeur porté à l'obéissance.

34	ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ ۖ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ
Transliteration 34:	Odkhulooha bisalamin thalika yawmu alkhuloodi
Yusuf Ali 34:	"Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!"
Shakir 34:	Enter it in peace, that is the day of abiding.
Pickthal 34:	Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.
Mohsin Khan: 34:	"Enter you therein in peace and security - this is a Day of eternal life!"

35	لَهُم مَّا يَشَاءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ
Transliteration 35:	Lahum ma yashaoona feeha waladayna mazeedun
Yusuf Ali 35:	There will be for them therein all that they wish,- and more besides in Our Presence.
Shakir 35:	They have therein what they wish and with Us is more yet.
Pickthal 35:	There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.
Mohsin Khan: 35:	There they will have all that they desire - and We have more (for them, i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty, All-Majestic جل جلاله).
French 35:	Il y aura là pour eux tout ce qu'ils voudront. Et auprès de Nous il y a davantage encore.
Spanish 35:	Tendrán allí cuanto deseen y aún dispondremos de más.
Indonesian 35:	Mereka di dalamnya memperoleh apa yang mereka kehendaki; dan pada sisi Kami ada tambahannya.
Melayu 35:	Mereka beroleh apa yang mereka kehendaki di situ dan di sisi Kami ada lagi tambahan (limpah kurnia yang tidak terlintas di hati mereka).
German 35:	Sie haben darin, was immer sie begehren, und bei Uns ist noch weit mehr.
Russian 35:	Там для них уготовано все, что они пожелают, а у Нас будет добавка (возможность взглянуть на Лик Аллаха).
Bosnian 35:	U njemu će imati što god zažele - a od Nas i više.
Urdu 35:	انہیں جو کچھ وہ چاہیں گے وہاں ملے گا اور ہمارے پاس اوربھی زیادہ ہے
36	وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ
Transliteration 36:	Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin hum ashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi hal min maheesin
Yusuf Ali 36:	But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?
Shakir 36:	And how many a generation did We destroy before them who were mightier in prowess than they, so they went about and about in the lands. Is there a place of refuge?
Pickthal 36:	And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)?
Mohsin Khan: 36:	And how many a generation We have destroyed before them who were stronger in power than they. And (when Our Torment came), they ran for a refuge in the land! Could they find any place of refuge (for them to save themselves from destruction)?
French 36:	combien avons-Nous fait périr, avant eux, de générations bien plus fortes qu'eux. Ils avaient parcouru les contrées, cherchant [vainement] où fuir.
Spanish 36:	¡A cuántas generaciones hemos hecho antes perecer, más temibles que ellos y que recorrieron el país en busca de escape.
Indonesian 36:	Dan berapa banyaknya umat-umat yang telah Kami binasakan sebelum mereka yang mereka itu lebih besar kekuatannya daripada mereka ini, maka mereka (yang telah dibinasakan itu) telah pernah menjelajah di beberapa negeri. Adakah (mereka) mendapat tempat lari (dari kebinasaan)?
Melayu 36:	Dan berapa banyak kaum-kaum (yang ingkar) yang terdahulu daripada orang-orang musyrik Mekah itu Kami telah binasakan. Kaum-kaum itu lebih kekuatannya (dan kehandalannya) daripada mereka, lalu kaum-kaum itu keluar mencari perlindungan di merata-rata negeri. (Meskipun demikian keadaannya) dapatkah (mereka) menyelamatkan diri?
German 36:	Und wieviele Geschlechter haben Wir schon vor ihnen vertilgt, die schlagkräftiger waren als sie und im Lande umherzogen! Gab es da ein Entrinnen?
Russian 36:	Сколько же Мы истребили до них поколений, которые превосходили их мощью! Они странствовали по земле. Но разве они могли сбежать?
Bosnian 36:	A koliko smo naroda prije ovih uništili, koji su moćniji od njih bili, pa su po svijetu utočište tražili - od propasti spasa ima li?!
Urdu 36:	اور ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی قومیں ہلاک کر دیں جو قوت میں ان سے بڑھ کر تھیں پھر (عذاب کے وقت) شہرو ں میں دوڑتے پھرنے لگے کہ کوئی پناہ کی جگہ بھی ہے
37	إِنَّ فِي ذَ‌ٰلِكَ لَذِكْرَىٰ لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
Transliteration 37:	Inna fee thalika lathikra liman kana lahu qalbun aw alqa alssamAAa wahuwa shaheedun
Yusuf Ali 37:	Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth).
Shakir 37:	Most surely there is a reminder in this for him who has a heart or he gives ear and is a witness.
Pickthal 37:	Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.
Mohsin Khan: 37:	Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful.
French 37:	Il y a bien là un rappel pour quiconque a un coeur, prête l'oreille tout en étant témoin.
Spanish 37:	Hay en ello, sí, una amonestación para quien tiene entendimiento, para quien aguza el oído y es testigo.
Indonesian 37:	Sesungguhnya pada yang demikian itu benar-benar terdapat peringatan bagi orang-orang yang mempunyai hati atau yang menggunakan pendengarannya, sedang dia menyaksikannya.
Melayu 37:	Sesungguhnya (keterangan-keterangan dan peristiwa-peristiwa) yang tersebut itu, tidak syak lagi mengandungi pengajaran bagi sesiapa yang mempunyai hati (yang sedar pada masa membacanya) atau yang menggunakan pendengarannya dengan bersungguh-sungguh (kepada pengajaran itu) dengan menumpukan hati dan fikiran kepadanya.
German 37:	Hierin liegt wahrlich eine Ermahnung für den, der ein Herz hat oder zuhört und bei der Sache ist.
Russian 37:	Воистину, в этом заключено напоминание для тех, у кого есть сердце, кто прислушивается и присутствует при этом.
Bosnian 37:	U tome je, zaista, pouka za onoga ko razum ima ili ko sluša, a priseban je.
Urdu 37:	بے شک اس میں شخص کے لیے بڑی عبرت ہے جس کے پاس (فہیم) دل ہو یا وہ متوجہ ہو کر (بات کی طرف) کان ہی لگا دیتا ہو
38	وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ
Transliteration 38:	Walaqad khalaqna alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin wama massana min lughoobin
Yusuf Ali 38:	We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.
Shakir 38:	And certainly We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods and there touched Us not any fatigue.
Pickthal 38:	And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.
Mohsin Khan: 38:	And indeed We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in six Days and nothing of fatigue touched Us.
French 38:	En effet, Nous avons créé les cieux et la terre et ce qui existe entre eux en six jours, sans éprouver la moindre lassitude.
Spanish 38:	Creamos los cielos, la tierra y lo que entre ellos está en seis días, sin sufrir cansancio.
Indonesian 38:	Dan sesungguhnya telah Kami ciptakan langit dan bumi dan apa yang ada antara keduanya dalam enam hari, dan Kami sedikitpun tidak ditimpa keletihan.
Melayu 38:	Dan demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah menciptakan langit dan bumi serta segala yang ada di antara keduanya dalam enam masa dan Kami tidak mengalami sebarang susah payah.
German 38:	Und wahrlich, Wir erschufen die Himmel und die Erde und das, was zwischen beiden ist, in sechs Tagen, und keine Ermüdung berührte Uns.
Russian 38:	Мы сотворили небеса, землю и то, что между ними, за шесть дней, и Нас ничуть не коснулась усталость.
Bosnian 38:	Mi smo stvorili nebesa i Zemlju i ono što je između njih - za šest vremenskih razdoblja, i nije Nas ophrvao nikakav umor.
Urdu 38:	اور بے شک ہم نےآسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اورجو کچھ ان کے درمیان میں ہے چھ دن میں اور ہمیں کچھ بھی تکان نہ ہوئی
39	فَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ
Transliteration 39:	Faisbir AAala ma yaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAi alshshamsi waqabla alghuroobi
Yusuf Ali 39:	Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.
Shakir 39:	Therefore be patient of what they say, and sing the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the setting.
Pickthal 39:	Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say, and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;
Mohsin Khan: 39:	So bear with patience (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) all that they say, and glorify the Praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting (i.e. the Fajr, Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers) .
French 39:	Endure donc ce qu'ils disent: et célèbre la louange de ton Seigneur avant le lever du soleil et avant [son] coucher;
Spanish 39:	¡Ten paciencia, pues, con lo que dicen y celebra las alabanzas de tu Señor antes de la salida del sol y de su puesta!
Indonesian 39:	Maka bersabarlah kamu terhadap apa yang mereka katakan dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji Tuhanmu sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum terbenam (nya).
Melayu 39:	Oleh itu bersabarlah (wahai Muhammad) akan apa yang dikatakan oleh mereka (yang menentangmu itu) dan bertasbihlah sambil memuji Tuhanmu (terutama) sebelum terbit matahari dan sebelum matahari terbenam.
German 39:	So ertrage geduldig, was sie sagen, und lobpreise deinen Herrn vor dem Aufgang der Sonne und vor dem (Sonnen-) untergang;
Russian 39:	Терпеливо сноси то, что они говорят, и прославляй хвалой твоего Господа перед восходом солнца и перед закатом.
Bosnian 39:	Zato strpljivo podnosi ono što oni govore i veličaj Gospodara svoga i zahvaljuj Mu prije sunčeva izlaska i prije zalaska,
Urdu 39:	پس ان باتوں پر صبر کر جو وہ کہتے ہیں اور اپنے رب کی پاکیزگی بیان کر تعریف کے ساتھ دن نکلنے سے پہلے اور دن چھپنے سے پہلے
40	وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ
Transliteration 40:	Wamina allayli fasabbihhu waadbara alssujoodi
Yusuf Ali 40:	And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration.
Shakir 40:	And glorify Him in the night and after the prayers.
Pickthal 40:	And in the night-time hymn His praise, and after the (prescribed) prostrations.
Mohsin Khan: 40:	And during a part of the night (also) glorify His praises (i.e. Maghrib and 'Isha prayers) and (so likewise) after the prayers [As-Sunnah, Nawafil - optional and additional prayers. And also glorify, praise and magnify Allah - Subhan Allah, Alhamdu lillah, Allahu-Akbar].
French 40:	et célèbre Sa gloire, une partie de la nuit et à la suite des prosternations [prières].
Spanish 40:	¡Glorifícale durante la noche y después de la azalá!
Indonesian 40:	Dan bertasbihlah kamu kepada-Nya di malam hari dan setiap selesai sembahyang.

German 40:	und lobpreise Ihn in einem Teil der Nacht und (jeweils) im Anschluß an die Niederwerfung.
Russian 40:	Прославляй Его в некоторые часы ночи и после земных поклонов.
Bosnian 40:	i veličaj Ga noću i poslije obavljanja molitvi.
Urdu 40:	اورکچھ رات میں بھی اس کی تسبیح کر اور نماز کے بعد بھی
41	وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
Transliteration 41:	WaistamiAA yawma yunadi almunadi min makanin qareebin
Yusuf Ali 41:	And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quiet near,-
Shakir 41:	And listen on the day when the crier shall cry from a near place
Pickthal 41:	And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,
Mohsin Khan: 41:	And listen on the Day when the caller will call from a near place.
French 41:	Et sois à l'écoute, le jour où le Crieur criera d'un endroit proche,
Spanish 41:	¡Estate atento al día que el pregonero llame de cerca,
Indonesian 41:	Dan dengarkanlah (seruan) pada hari penyeru (malaikat) menyeru dari tempat yang dekat.
Melayu 41:	Dan dengarlah (apa yang diterangkan kepadamu sekarang ini mengenai hari kiamat), hari (malaikat yang menjadi) penyeru, menyeru (makhluk-makhluk yang telah mati) dari tempat yang dekat yang dapat didengar oleh semuanya),
German 41:	Und lausche am Tage, wenn der Rufer von einem nahen Ort (zum Jüngsten Gericht) rufen wird.
Russian 41:	Слушай! В тот день глашатай воззовет поблизости (или прислушайся в тот день, когда глашатай воззовет поблизости).
Bosnian 41:	I osluškuj! Dan kada će glasnik pozvati iz mjesta koje je blizu,
Urdu 41:	اور توجہ سے سنیئے جس دن پکارنے والا پاس سے پکارے گا
42	يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ
Transliteration 42:	Yawma yasmaAAoona alssayhata bialhaqqi thalika yawmu alkhurooji
Yusuf Ali 42:	The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.
Shakir 42:	The day when they shall hear the cry in truth; that is the day of coming forth.
Pickthal 42:	The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).
Mohsin Khan: 42:	The Day when they will hear As-Saihah (shout) in truth: that will be the Day of coming out (from the graves, i.e. the Day of Resurrection).
French 42:	le jour où ils entendront en toute vérité le Cri. Voilà le Jour de la Résurrection.
Spanish 42:	al día que se oiga, de verdad, el Grito! Ése será el día de la Resurrección.
Indonesian 42:	(Yaitu) pada hari mereka mendengar teriakan dengan sebenar-benarnya, itulah hari keluar (dari kubur).
Melayu 42:	Iaitu hari mereka mendengar pekikan seruan yang menyatakan perkara yang benar; hari seruan itu ialah hari masing-masing keluar dari kubur.
German 42:	Der Tag, wenn sie in Wahrheit den Schrei hören werden - das wird dann der Tag der Auferstehung sein.
Russian 42:	В тот день они услышат звук истинно. Это – День выхода из могил.
Bosnian 42:	Dan kada će oni čuti istinit glas - to će biti Dan oživljenja.
Urdu 42:	جس دن وہ ایک چیخ کو بخوبی سنیں گے یہ دن قبروں سے نکلنے کا ہوگا
43	إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ
Transliteration 43:	Inna nahnu nuhyee wanumeetu wailayna almaseeru
Yusuf Ali 43:	Verily it is We Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Goal-
Shakir 43:	Surely We give life and cause to die, and to Us is the eventual coming;
Pickthal 43:	Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.
Mohsin Khan: 43:	Verily, We it is Who give life and cause death; and to Us is the final return.
French 43:	C'est Nous qui donnons la vie et donnons la mort, et vers Nous sera la destination,
Spanish 43:	Somos Nosotros Quienes damos la vida y damos la muerte. Somos Nosotros el fin de todo.
Indonesian 43:	Sesungguhnya Kami menghidupkan dan mematikan dan hanya kepada Kami-lah tempat kembali (semua makhluk).
Melayu 43:	Sesungguhnya Kami menghidupkan dan mematikan dan kepada Kamilah sahaja tempat kembali (sekalian makhluk).
German 43:	Wahrlich, Wir allein machen lebendig und lassen sterben, und zu Uns ist die Heimkehr.
Russian 43:	Воистину, Мы оживляем и умерщвляем, и к Нам предстоит прибытие.
Bosnian 43:	Mi, zaista, dajemo život i dajemo smrt, i sve će se Nama vratiti!
Urdu 43:	بے شک ہم ہی زندہ کرتے اورمارتے ہیں اورہماری طرف ہی لوٹ کر آنا ہے
44	يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ
Transliteration 44:	Yawma tashaqqaqu alardu AAanhum siraAAan thalika hashrun AAalayna yaseerun
Yusuf Ali 44:	The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.
Shakir 44:	The day on which the earth shall cleave asunder under them, they will make haste; that is a gathering together easy to Us.
Pickthal 44:	On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).
Mohsin Khan: 44:	On the Day when the earth shall be cleft, from off them, (they will come out) hastening forth. That will be a gathering, quite easy for Us.
French 44:	le jour où la terre se fendra, les [rejetant] précipitamment. ce sera un rassemblement facile pour Nous.
Spanish 44:	El día que la tierra se abra despidiéndolos, rápidos..., Ésa es una reunión fácil para Nosotros.
Indonesian 44:	(Yaitu) pada hari bumi terbelah-belah menampakkan mereka (lalu mereka keluar) dengan cepat. Yang demikian itu adalah pengumpulan yang mudah bagi Kami.
Melayu 44:	Pada hari bumi terbelah-belah untuk mereka segera keluar (daripadanya). Perbuatan (menghidupkan dan) menghimpunkan mereka di Padang Mahsyar itu, mudah bagi Kami melaksanakannya.
German 44:	An dem Tage, wenn sich die Erde spalten und sie (die Toten) freigeben wird, worauf sie (aus ihr heraus) eilen, dann wird ein Versammeln vor sich gehen, (das) für Uns ganz leicht (ist).
Russian 44:	В тот день земля разверзнется для них, когда они будут спешить. Нам легко собрать их таким образом.
Bosnian 44:	A na Dan kada će nad njima zemlja popucati oni će žurno izići; biće to oživljenje, za Nas lahko.
Urdu 44:	جس دن ان پر سے زمین پھٹ جائے گی لوگ دوڑتے ہوئے نکل آئيں گے یہ لوگو ں کا جمع کرنا ہمیں بہت آسان ہے
45	نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ۖ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ ۖ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
Transliteration 45:	Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloona wama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bialqurani man yakhafu waAAeedi
Yusuf Ali 45:	We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!
Shakir 45:	We know best what they say, and you are not one to compel them; therefore remind him by means of the Quran who fears My threat.
Pickthal 45:	We are Best Aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.
Mohsin Khan: 45:	We know best what they say. And you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are not the one to force them (to Belief). But warn by the Qur'an; him who fears My Threat.
French 45:	Nous savons mieux ce qu'ils disent. Tu n'as pas pour mission d'exercer sur eux une contrainte. Rappelle donc, par le Coran celui qui craint Ma menace.
Spanish 45:	Sabemos bien lo que dicen... ¡No debes tú forzarles! ¡Amonesta, más bien, por el Corán a quien tema Mi amenaza!
Indonesian 45:	Kami lebih mengetahui tentang apa yang mereka katakan, dan kamu sekali-kali bukanlah seorang pemaksa terhadap mereka. Maka beri peringatanlah dengan Al Qur'an orang yang takut kepada ancaman-Ku.
Melayu 45:	Kami lebih mengetahui apa yang mereka katakan (dari berbagai tuduhan terhadapmu wahai Muhammad) dan engkau bukanlah seorang yang berkuasa memaksa mereka (supaya masing-masing beriman). Oleh itu, berilah peringatan dengan Al-Quran ini kepada orang yang takutkan janji azabKu.
German 45:	Wir wissen am besten, was sie sagen; und du hast keine Gewalt über sie. Ermahne darum durch den Qur'an den, der Meine Drohung fürchtet.
Russian 45:	Нам лучше знать, что они говорят, и тебе не надо принуждать их. Увещевай же Кораном тех, кто страшится Моей угрозы.
Bosnian 45:	Mi dobro znamo što oni govore; ti ih ne možeš prisiliti, nego podsjeti Kur’anom onoga koji se prijetnje Moje boji!
Urdu 45:	ہم جانتے ہیں جو کچھ وہ کہتے ہیں اور آپ ا ن پر کچھ زبردستی کرنے والے نہیں پھر آپ قرآن سے اس کو نصیحت کیجیئے جو میرے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہو
