| Transliteration 4: | Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati olaika lahum maghfiratun warizqun kareemun | |
| Yusuf Ali 4: | That He may reward those who believe and work deeds of righteousness: for such is Forgiveness and a Sustenance Most Generous." | |
| Shakir 4: | That He may reward those who believe and do good; these it is for whom is forgiveness and an honorable sustenance. | |

| Transliteration 5: | Waallatheena saAAaw fee ayatina muAAajizeena olaika lahum AAathabun min rijzin aleemin | |
| Yusuf Ali 5: | But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them,- for such will be a Penalty,- a Punishment most humiliating. | |
| Shakir 5: | And (as for) those who strive hard in opposing Our communications, these it is for whom is a painful chastisement of an evil kind. | |
| Pickthal 5: | But those who strive against Our revelations, challenging (Us), theirs will be a painful doom of wrath. | |

| Transliteration 6: | Wayara allatheena ootoo alAAilma allathee onzila ilayka min rabbika huwa alhaqqa wayahdee ila sirati alAAazeezi alhameedi | |
| Yusuf Ali 6: | And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to thee from thy Lord - that is the Truth, and that it guides to the Path of the Exalted (in might), Worthy of all praise. | |
| Shakir 6: | And those to whom the knowledge has been given see that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, that is the truth, and it guides into the path of the Mighty, the Praised. | |
| Pickthal 6: | Those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the truth and leadeth unto the path of the Mighty, the Owner of Praise. | |

| Transliteration 7: | Waqala allatheena kafaroo hal nadullukum AAala rajulin yunabbiokum itha muzziqtum kulla mumazzaqin innakum lafee khalqin jadeedin | |
| Yusuf Ali 7: | The Unbelievers say (in ridicule): "Shall we point out to you a man that will tell you, when ye are all scattered to pieces in disintegration, that ye shall (then be raised) in a New Creation? | |
| Shakir 7: | And those who disbelieve say: Shall we point out to you a man who informs you that when you are scattered the utmost scattering you shall then be most surely (raised) in (to) a new creation? | |
| Pickthal 7: | Those who disbelieve say: Shall we show you a man who will tell you (that) when ye have become dispersed in dust with most complete dispersal still, even then, ye will be created anew? | |
| Mohsin Khan: 7: | Those who disbelieve say: "Shall we direct you to a man (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) who will tell you (that) when you have become fully disintegrated into dust with full dispersion, then you will be created (again) anew?" | |
| French 7: | Et ceux qui ne croient pas dirent: ‹Voulez-vous que l'on vous montre un homme qui vous prédise que lorsque vous serez complètement désintégrés, vous reparaîtrez, sans nul doute, en une nouvelle création? | |

| 8 | أَفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَم بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۗ بَلِ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ فِي الْعَذَابِ وَالضَّلَالِ الْبَعِيدِ | |
| Transliteration 8: | Aftara AAala Allahi kathiban am bihi jinnatun bali allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati fee alAAathabi waalddalali albaAAeedi | |
| Yusuf Ali 8: | "Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?"- Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest error. | |
| Shakir 8: | He has forged a lie against Allah or there is madness in him. Nay! those who do not believe in the hereafter are in torment and in great error. | |
| Pickthal 8: | Hath he invented a lie concerning Allah, or is there in him a madness? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are in torment and far error. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 8: | Has he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) invented a lie against Allah, or is there a madness in him? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are (themselves) in a torment, and in far error. | |

| Transliteration 9: | Afalam yaraw ila ma bayna aydeehim wama khalfahum mina alssamai waalardi in nasha nakhsif bihimu alarda aw nusqit AAalayhim kisafan mina alssamai inna fee thalika laayatan likulli AAabdin muneebin | |
| Yusuf Ali 9: | See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance). | |

| Yusuf Ali 12: | And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. | |

| Yusuf Ali 14: | Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task). | |
| Shakir 14: | But when We decreed death for him, naught showed them his death but a creature of the earth that ate away his staff; and when it fell down, the jinn came to know plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in abasing torment. | |

| Yusuf Ali 18: | Between them and the Cities on which We had poured our blessings, We had placed Cities in prominent positions, and between them We had appointed stages of journey in due proportion: "Travel therein, secure, by night and by day." | |

At length We made them as a tale (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered fragments. Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful. | |
| Shakir 19: | And they said: O our Lord! make spaces to be longer between our journeys; and they were unjust to themselves so We made them stories and scattered them with an utter scattering; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one | |

Hierin sind wahrlich Zeichen für jeden Geduldigen, Dankbaren. | |

| Yusuf Ali 20: | And on them did Satan prove true his idea, and they followed him, all but a party that believed. | |

| Transliteration 21: | Wama kana lahu AAalayhim min sultanin illa linaAAlama man yuminu bialakhirati mimman huwa minha fee shakkin warabbuka AAala kulli shayin hafeethun | |
| Yusuf Ali 21: | But he had no authority over them,- except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things. | |
| Shakir 21: | And he has no authority over them, but that We may distinguish him who believes in the hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it; and your Lord is the Preserver of all things | |
| Pickthal 21: | And he had no warrant whatsoever against them, save that We would know him who believeth in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt thereof; and thy Lord (O Muhammad) taketh note of all things. | |

| 29 | وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |
| Transliteration 29: | Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena | |
| Yusuf Ali 29: | They say: "When will this promise (come to pass) if ye are telling the truth?" | |
| Shakir 29: | And they say: When will this promise be (fulfilled) if you are truthful? | |

| Transliteration 30: | Qul lakum meeAAadu yawmin la tastakhiroona AAanhu saAAatan wala tastaqdimoona | |
| Yusuf Ali 30: | Say: "The appointment to you is for a Day, which ye cannot put back for an hour nor put forward." | |
| Shakir 30: | Say: You have the appointment of a day from which you cannot hold back any while, nor can you bring it on. | |
| Pickthal 30: | Say (O Muhammad): Yours is the promise of a Day which ye cannot postpone nor hasten by an hour. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 30: | Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "The appointment to you is for a Day, which you cannot put back for an hour (or a moment) nor put forward." | |

| 31 | وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَن نُّؤْمِنَ بِهَـٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَلَا بِالَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ الْقَوْلَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لَوْلَا أَنتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ | |
| Transliteration 31: | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lan numina bihatha alqurani wala biallathee bayna yadayhi walaw tara ithi alththalimoona mawqoofoona AAinda rabbihim yarjiAAu baAAduhum ila baAAdin alqawla yaqoolu allatheena istudAAifoo lillatheena istakbaroo lawla antum lakunna mumineena | |
| Yusuf Ali 31: | The Unbelievers say: "We shall neither believe in this scripture nor in (any) that (came) before it." Couldst thou but see when the wrong-doers will be made to stand before their Lord, throwing back the word (of blame) on one another! Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!" | |
| Shakir 31: | And those who disbelieve say: By no means will we believe in this Quran, nor in that which is before it; and could you see when the unjust shall be made to stand before their Lord, bandying words one with another! Those who were reckoned weak shall say to those who were proud: Had it not been for you we would certainly have been believers. | |
| Pickthal 31: | And those who disbelieve say: We believe not in this Qur'an nor in that which was before it; but oh, if thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers are brought up before their Lord, how they cast the blame one to another; how those who were despised (in the earth) say unto those who were proud: But for you, we should have been believers. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 31: | And those who disbelieve say: "We believe not in this Qur'an nor in that which was before it." But if you could see when the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) will be made to stand before their Lord, how they will cast the (blaming) word one to another! Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!" | |

| Indonesian 31: | Dan orang-orang kafir berkata: "Kami sekali-kali tidak akan beriman kepada Al Qur'an ini dan tidak (pula) kepada Kitab yang sebelumnya". Dan (alangkah hebatnya) kalau kamu lihat ketika orang-orang yang zalim itu dihadapkan kepada Tuhannya, sebahagian dari mereka menghadapkan perkataan kepada sebagian yang lain; orang-orang yang dianggap lemah berkata kepada orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri: "Kalau tidaklah karena kamu tentulah kami menjadi orang-orang yang beriman". | |
| Melayu 31: | Dan orang-orang yang kafir berkata: Kami tidak akan beriman sama sekali kepada Al-Quran ini dan tidak juga kepada Kitab-kitab agama yang terdahulu daripadanya. Dan (sungguh ngeri) kalau engkau melihat ketika orang-orang yang zalim itu dibawa berdiri di hadapan Tuhan mereka (untuk dihisab), masing-masing tuduh menuduh antara satu dengan yang lain. Orang-orang yang tertindas berkata kepada orang-orang yang sombong takbur (yang menjadi ketuanya): Kalaulah tidak kerana kamu (menindas dan memperdayakan kami), tentulah kami sudah menjadi orang yang beriman. | |

Und könntest du nur sehen, wie sich die Ungerechten wechselseitig die Schuld zuweisen, wenn sie vor ihren Herrn gestellt werden! Diejenigen, die unterdrückt waren, werden dann zu denen, die hochmütig waren, sagen: ""Wäret ihr nicht gewesen, wären wir ganz gewiß Gläubige geworden."" | |
| Russian 31: | Неверующие сказали: «Мы никогда не уверуем ни в этот Коран, ни в то, что было до него». Если бы ты видел беззаконников, когда они будут стоять перед их Господом, отвечая друг другу словами. Те, которые были слабыми, скажут тем, которые превозносились: «Если бы не вы, то мы стали бы верующими». | |
| Bosnian 31: | A oni koji ne vjeruju govore: "Mi nećemo vjerovati u ovaj Kur’an niti u one prije njega!" A kada bi samo vidio kad oni koji su učinili zlo pred Gospodarom svojim budu zadržani i kad stanu među sobom razgovarati: "Da vâs nije bilo, sigurno bismo bili vjernici" - reći će oni koji su tlačeni bili onima koji su bili oholi. | |
| Urdu 31: | اور کافر کہتے ہیں ہم اس قرآن پر ہرگز ایمان نہیں لائیں گے اور نہ اس پر جو اس سے پہلے موجود ہے اورکاش آپ دیکھتے جب کہ ظالم اپنے رب کے حضور میں کھڑے کیے جائیں گے ایک ان میں سے دوسرے کی بات کو رد کر رہا ہوگا جو لوگ کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے وہ ان سے کہیں گے جو بڑے بنتے تھے اگر تم نہ ہوتے تو ہم ایمان دار ہوتے | |
| 32 | قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَىٰ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَكُم ۖ بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ | |
| Transliteration 32: | Qala allatheena istakbaroo lillatheena istudAAifoo anahnu sadadnakum AAani alhuda baAAda ith jaakum bal kuntum mujrimeena | |
| Yusuf Ali 32: | The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed. | |
| Shakir 32: | Those who were proud shall say to those who were deemed weak: Did we turn you away from the guidance after it had come to you? Nay, you (yourselves) were guilty | |
| Pickthal 32: | Those who were proud say unto those who were despised: Did we drive you away from the guidance after it had come unto you? Nay, but ye were guilty. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 32: | And those who were arrogant will say to those who were deemed weak: "Did we keep you back from guidance after it had come to you? Nay, but you were Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, disbelievers, criminals)." | |

| Melayu 32: | Orang-orang yang sombong takbur itu menjawab kepada orang-orang yang tertindas: Kamikah yang telah menghalang kamu daripada menerima hidayat petunjuk sesudah ia datang kepada kamu? (Bukan kami yang menghalang) bahkan kamulah yang menyebabkan diri sendiri menjadi orang-orang yang berdosa. | |
| German 32: | ""Jene, die hochmütig waren, werden zu denen, die unterdrückt waren, sagen: ""Waren wir es etwa, die euch vom rechten Weg abhielten, nachdem er (der Qur'an) zu euch gekommen war? Nein, ihr selbst waret die Schuldigen."" | |
| Russian 32: | Те, которые превозносились, скажут тем, которые были слабыми: «Разве мы удержали вас от верного руководства после того, как оно явилось к вам? Нет, вы сами были грешниками». | |

| 33 | وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا بَلْ مَكْرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذْ تَأْمُرُونَنَا أَن نَّكْفُرَ بِاللَّهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُ أَندَادًا ۚ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَغْلَالَ فِي أَعْنَاقِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ | |
| Transliteration 33: | Waqala allatheena istudAAifoo lillatheena istakbaroo bal makru allayli waalnnahari ith tamuroonana an nakfura biAllahi wanajAAala lahu andadan waasarroo alnnadamata lamma raawoo alAAathaba wajaAAalna alaghlala fee aAAnaqi allatheena kafaroo hal yujzawna illa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona | |
| Yusuf Ali 33: | Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds. | |
| Shakir 33: | And those who were deemed weak shall say to those who were proud. Nay, (it was) planning by night and day when you told us to disbelieve in Allah and to set up likes with Him. And they shall conceal regret when they shall see the punishment; and We will put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved; they shall not be requited but what they did. | |
| Pickthal 33: | Those who were despised say unto those who were proud: Nay but (it was your) scheming night and day, when ye commanded us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals unto Him. And they are filled with remorse when they behold the doom; and We place carcans on the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught save what they used to do? | |
| Mohsin Khan: 33: | Those who were deemed weak will say to those who were arrogant: "Nay, but it was your plotting by night and day: when you ordered us to disbelieve in Allah and set up rivals to Him!" And each of them (parties) will conceal their own regrets (for disobeying Allah during this worldly life), when they behold the torment. And We shall put iron collars round the necks of those who disbelieved. Are they requited aught except what they used to do? | |
| French 33: | Et ceux que l'on considérait comme faibles diront à ceux qui s'enorgueillissaient: ‹C'était votre stratagème, plutòt, nuit et jours, de nous commander de ne pas croire en Allah et de Lui donner des égaux›. Et ils cacheront leur regret quand ils verront le châtiment. Nous placerons des carcans aux cous de ceux qui ont mécru: les rétribuerait-on autrement que selon ce qu'ils oeuvraient?› | |
| Spanish 33: | Los que fueron débiles dirán a los que fueron altivos: "¡No!, que fueron vuestras maquinaciones de noche y de día, cuando nos instabais a que no creyéramos en Alá y a que Le atribuyéramos iguales..." Y, cuando vean el castigo, disimularán su pena. Pondremos argollas al cuello de los que no hayan creído. ¿Serán retribuidos por otra cosa que por lo que hicieron? | |
| Indonesian 33: | Dan orang-orang yang dianggap lemah berkata kepada orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri: "(Tidak) sebenarnya tipu daya (mu) di waktu malam dan siang (yang menghalangi kami), ketika kamu menyeru kami supaya kami kafir kepada Allah dan menjadikan sekutu-sekutu bagi-Nya". Kedua belah pihak menyatakan penyesalan tatkala mereka melihat azab. Dan Kami pasang belenggu di leher orang-orang yang kafir. Mereka tidak dibalas melainkan dengan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan. | |
| Melayu 33: | Dan berkata pula orang-orang yang tertindas kepada orang-orang yang sombong takbur itu: Tidak! Bahkan (yang menghalang kami daripada beriman ialah) perbuatan kamu memperdaya kami malam dan siang, ketika kamu menyuruh kami berlaku kufur kepada Allah dan mengadakan sekutu-sekutu bagiNya. Akhirnya masing-masing diam sambil memendamkan perasaan sesal dan kecewa semasa mereka melihat azab dan Kami pasangkan belenggu-belenggu pada leher orang-orang yang kafir itu. Mereka tidak dibalas melainkan dengan apa yang mereka telah kerjakan. | |
| German 33: | ""Und jene, die unterdrückt waren, werden zu denen, die hochmütig waren, sagen: ""Nein, aber es war (euer) Ränkeschmieden bei Nacht und Tag, als ihr uns befahlt, nicht an Allah zu glauben und Ihm Götter zur Seite zu setzen."" Und in ihrem Innern werden sie von Reue erfüllt sein, wenn sie die Strafe sehen; und Wir werden Fesseln um die Nacken derer legen, die ungläubig waren. Sie werden nur für das entlohnt werden, was sie getan haben. | |
| Russian 33: | Тогда те, которые были слабыми, скажут тем, которые превозносились: «Вы замышляли козни ночью и днем и велели нам не верить в Аллаха и равнять с Ним других». Когда же они увидят мучения, они утаят раскаяние. Мы наложим оковы на шеи неверующих. Разве им не воздается только за то, что они совершали? | |
| Bosnian 33: | "Nije bilo tako" - odgovoriće oni koji su bili tlačeni onima koji su bili oholi - "nego ste danju i noću spletkarili kad ste od nas tražili da u Allaha ne vjerujemo i da Mu druge jednakim smatramo." I svi će prikriti tugu kad vide da će kažnjeni biti, a Mi ćemo na vratove nevjernika sindžire staviti; zar će biti kažnjeni drukčije nego prema onome kako su radili? | |
| Urdu 33: | اورجو لوگ کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے وہ ان سے کہیں گے جو متکبر تھے بلکہ (تمہارے) رات اور دن کے فریب نے جب تم ہمیں حکم دیا کرتے تھے کہ ہم الله کا انکار کر دیں اوراس کے لیے شریک ٹھیرائیں اور دل میں بڑے پشیمان ہوں گے جب عذاب کو سامنے دیکھیں گے اورکافروں کی گردنوں میں ہم طوق ڈالیں گے جو کچھ وہ کیا کرتے تھے اسی کا تو بدلہ پا رہے ہیں | |
| 34 | وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ | |
| Transliteration 34: | Wama arsalna fee qaryatin min natheerin illa qala mutrafooha inna bima orsiltum bihi kafiroona | |
| Yusuf Ali 34: | Never did We send a warner to a population, but the wealthy ones among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which ye have been sent." | |
| Shakir 34: | And We never sent a warner to a town but those who led lives in ease in it said: We are surely disbelievers in what you are sent with. | |
| Pickthal 34: | And We sent not unto any township a warner, but its pampered ones declared: Lo! we are disbelievers in that wherewith ye have been sent. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 34: | And We did not send a warner to a township but those who were given the worldly wealth and luxuries among them said: "We believe not in the (Message) with which you have been sent." | |
| French 34: | Et Nous n'avons envoyé aucun avertisseur dans une cité sans que ses gens aisés n'aient dit: ‹Nous ne croyons pas au message avec lequel vous êtes envoyés›. | |

| Indonesian 34: | Dan Kami tidak mengutus kepada suatu negeri seorang pemberi peringatanpun, melainkan orang-orang yang hidup mewah di negeri itu berkata: "Sesungguhnya kami mengingkari apa yang kamu diutus untuk menyampaikannya". | |
| Melayu 34: | Dan Kami tidak mengutus kepada sesebuah negeri: Seseorang Rasul pemberi amaran melainkan orang-orang yang berada dalam kemewahan di negeri itu berkata: Sesungguhnya kami tetap mengingkari apa yang kamu diutuskan membawanya. | |
| German 34: | ""Und Wir entsandten zu keiner Stadt einen Warner, ohne daß die, die darin ein Leben in Wohlstand führten, gesprochen hätten: ""Gewiß, wir leugnen das, womit ihr gesandt worden seid."" | |
| Russian 34: | В какое бы селение Мы ни направляли предостерегающего увещевателя, его изнеженные роскошью жители говорили: «Воистину, мы не веруем в то, с чем вы посланы». | |
| Bosnian 34: | Mi ni u jedan grad nismo poslanika poslali, a da nisu rekli oni koji su na raskošan život bili navikli: "Ne vjerujemo mi u ono što je po vama poslano!" - | |

| 35 | وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ أَكْثَرُ أَمْوَالًا وَأَوْلَادًا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ | |
| Transliteration 35: | Waqaloo nahnu aktharu amwalan waawladan wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena | |
| Yusuf Ali 35: | They said: "We have more in wealth and in sons, and we cannot be punished." | |
| Shakir 35: | And they say: We have more wealth and children, and we shall not be punished. | |
| Pickthal 35: | And they say: We are more (than you) in wealth and children. We are not the punished! | |
| Mohsin Khan: 35: | And they say: "We are more in wealth and in children, and we are not going to be punished." | |
| French 35: | Et ils dirent: ‹Nous avons d'avantage de richesses et d'enfants et nous ne serons pas châtiés›. | |

| Urdu 35: | اور یہ بھی کہا کہ ہم مال اوراولاد میں تم سے بڑھ کر ہیں اور ہمیں کوئی عذاب نہ دیا جائے گا | |
| 36 | قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |
| Transliteration 36: | Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona | |

| 37 | وَمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُم بِالَّتِي تُقَرِّبُكُمْ عِندَنَا زُلْفَىٰ إِلَّا مَنْ آمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُولَـٰئِكَ لَهُمْ جَزَاءُ الضِّعْفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَهُمْ فِي الْغُرُفَاتِ آمِنُونَ | |
| Transliteration 37: | Wama amwalukum wala awladukum biallatee tuqarribukum AAindana zulfa illa man amana waAAamila salihan faolaika lahum jazao alddiAAfi bima AAamiloo wahum fee alghurufati aminoona | |
| Yusuf Ali 37: | It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high! | |
| Shakir 37: | And not your wealth nor your children, are the things which bring you near Us in station, but whoever believes and does good, these it is for whom is a double reward for what they do, and they shall be secure in the highest places. | |
| Pickthal 37: | And it is not your wealth nor your children that will bring you near unto Us, but he who believeth and doeth good (he draweth near). As for such, theirs will be twofold reward for what they did and they will dwell secure in lofty halls. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 37: | And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us (i.e. please Allah), but only he who believes (in the Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds (will please Us); as for such, there will be twofold reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (Paradise) in peace and security. | |

| Indonesian 37: | Dan sekali-kali bukanlah harta dan bukan (pula) anak-anak kamu yang mendekatkan kamu kepada Kami sedikitpun; tetapi orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal-amal saleh, mereka itulah yang memperoleh balasan yang berlipat ganda disebabkan apa yang telah mereka kerjakan; dan mereka aman sentosa di tempat-tempat yang tinggi (dalam surga). | |
| Melayu 37: | Dan bukanlah harta benda kamu dan tidak juga anak pinak kamu yang mendampingkan kamu di sisi Kami walau sedikitpun, kecuali orang-orang yang beriman dan beramal soleh, maka mereka itu akan beroleh balasan yang berlipat ganda disebabkan apa yang mereka telah kerjakan dan mereka pula ditempatkan dalam mahligai-mahligai (di Syurga) dengan aman sentosa. | |
| German 37: | "Und es ist weder euer Gut, noch sind es eure Kinder, die euch Uns nahe bringen werden; die aber, die glauben und gute Werke tun, sie sollen den zweifachen Lohn für das, was sie getan haben, erhalten. Und in den Obergemächern (des Paradieses) werden sie sicher wohnen. | |

| 38 | وَالَّذِينَ يَسْعَوْنَ فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُولَـٰئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ | |
| Transliteration 38: | Waallatheena yasAAawna fee ayatina muAAajizeena olaika fee alAAathabi muhdaroona | |
| Yusuf Ali 38: | Those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them, will be given over into Punishment. | |
| Shakir 38: | And (as for) those who strive in opposing Our communications, they shall be caused to be brought to the chastisement. | |
| Pickthal 38: | And as for those who strive against Our revelations, challenging, they will be brought to the doom. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 38: | And those who strive against Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, they will be brought to the torment. | |

| 39 | قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ ۚ وَمَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ | |
| Transliteration 39: | Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu wama anfaqtum min shayin fahuwa yukhlifuhu wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena | |
| Yusuf Ali 39: | Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of his servants as He pleases: and nothing do ye spend in the least (in His cause) but He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance. | |
| Shakir 39: | Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants and straitens (them) for whom (He pleases), and whatever thing you spend, He exceeds it in reward, and He is the best of Sustainers. | |

| Transliteration 40: | Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma yaqoolu lilmalaikati ahaolai iyyakum kanoo yaAAbudoona | |
| Yusuf Ali 40: | One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?" | |
| Shakir 40: | And on the day when He will gather them all together, then will He say to the angels: Did these worship you? | |
| Pickthal 40: | And on the day when He will gather them all together, He will say unto the angels: Did these worship you? | |
| Mohsin Khan: 40: | And (remember) the Day when He will gather them all together, then He will say to the angels: "Was it you that these people used to worship?" | |

| Transliteration 41: | Qaloo subhanaka anta waliyyuna min doonihim bal kanoo yaAAbudoona aljinna aktharuhum bihim muminoona | |
| Yusuf Ali 41: | They will say, "Glory to Thee! our (tie) is with Thee - as Protector - not with them. Nay, but they worshipped the Jinns: most of them believed in them." | |
| Shakir 41: | They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them. | |
| Pickthal 41: | They will say: Be Thou Glorified. Thou (alone) art our Guardian, not them! Nay, but they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them. | |

| 42 | فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يَمْلِكُ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ نَّفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا وَنَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ | |
| Transliteration 42: | Faalyawma la yamliku baAAdukum libaAAdin nafAAan wala darran wanaqoolu lillatheena thalamoo thooqoo AAathaba alnnari allatee kuntum biha tukaththiboona | |
| Yusuf Ali 42: | So on that Day no power shall they have over each other, for profit or harm: and We shall say to the wrong-doers, "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire,- the which ye were wont to deny!" | |
| Shakir 42: | So on that day one of you shall not control profit or harm for another, and We will say to those who were unjust: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie. | |
| Pickthal 42: | That day ye will possess no use nor hurt one for another. And We shall say unto those who did wrong: Taste the doom of the Fire which ye used to deny. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 42: | So Today (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), none of you can profit or harm one another. And We shall say to those who did wrong [i.e. worshipped others (like the angels, jinn, prophets, saints, righteous persons) along with Allah]: "Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to belie. | |

| Russian 42: | Сегодня вы не можете принести друг другу ни пользы, ни вреда. Мы скажем беззаконникам: «Вкусите мучения в Огне, который вы считали ложью!» | |
| Bosnian 42: | Toga Dana jedni drugima nećete moći ni koristiti ni nauditi, a Mi ćemo onima koji su se prema sebi ogriješili reći: "Trpite patnju u vatri koju ste poricali!" | |

| 43 | وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَـٰذَا إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ أَن يَصُدَّكُمْ عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَقَالُوا مَا هَـٰذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ مُّفْتَرًى ۚ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |
| Transliteration 43: | Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qaloo ma hatha illa rajulun yureedu an yasuddakum AAamma kana yaAAbudu abaokum waqaloo ma hatha illa ifkun muftaran waqala allatheena kafaroo lilhaqqi lamma jaahum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun | |
| Yusuf Ali 43: | When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, they say, "This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers practised." And they say, "This is only a falsehood invented!" and the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them, "This is nothing but evident magic!" | |
| Shakir 43: | And when Our clear communications are recited to them, they say: This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped. And they say: This is naught but a lie that is forged. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them: This is only clear enchantment. | |
| Pickthal 43: | And if Our revelations are recited unto them in plain terms, they say: This is naught else than a man who would turn you away from what your fathers used to worship; and they say: This is naught else than an invented lie. Those who disbelieve say of the truth when it reacheth them: This is naught else than mere magic. | |
| Mohsin Khan: 43: | And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, they say: "This (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is naught but a man who wishes to hinder you from that which your fathers used to worship." And they say: "This (the Qur'an) is nothing but an invented lie." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them (i.e. Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم when Allah sent him as a Messenger with proofs, evidence, verses of this Qur'an, lessons, signs, etc.): "This is nothing but evident magic!" | |

Et ils disent: ‹Ceci (Le Coran) n'est qu'un mensonge inventé›. Et ceux qui ne croient pas disent de la Vérité quand elle leur vient: ‹Ce n'est là qu'une magie évidente!›. | |
| Spanish 43: | Y cuando se les recitan Nuestras aleyas como pruebas claras, dicen: "éste no es sino un hombre que quiere apartaros de lo que vuestros padres servían". Y dicen: "Esto no es sino una mentira inventada". Y de la Verdad, luego que ha venido ésta a ellos, dicen los infieles: "¡Esto no es sino manifiesta magia!" | |
| Indonesian 43: | Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami yang terang, mereka berkata: "Orang ini tiada lain hanyalah seorang laki-laki yang ingin menghalangi kamu dari apa yang disembah oleh bapak-bapakmu", dan mereka berkata: "(Al Qur'an) ini tidak lain hanyalah kebohongan yang diada-adakan saja". | Transliteration 44: | Wama ataynahum min kutubin yadrusoonaha wama arsalna ilayhim qablaka min natheerin | |
| Yusuf Ali 44: | But We had not given them Books which they could study, nor sent apostles to them before thee as Warners. | |

| Transliteration 45: | Wakaththaba allatheena min qablihim wama balaghoo miAAshara ma ataynahum fakaththaboo rusulee fakayfa kana nakeeri | |
| Yusuf Ali 45: | And their predecessors rejected (the Truth); these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My apostles, how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)! | |
| Shakir 45: | And those before them rejected (the truth), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them, but they gave the lie to My messengers, then how was the manifestation of My disapproval? | |

| Transliteration 46: | Qul innama aAAithukum biwahidatin an taqoomoo lillahi mathna wafurada thumma tatafakkaroo ma bisahibikum min jinnatin in huwa illa natheerun lakum bayna yaday AAathabin shadeedin | |
| Yusuf Ali 46: | Say: "I do admonish you on one point: that ye do stand up before Allah,- (It may be) in pairs, or (it may be) singly,- and reflect (within yourselves): your Companion is not possessed: he is no less than a warner to you, in face of a terrible Penalty." | |

| Transliteration 47: | Qul ma saaltukum min ajrin fahuwa lakum in ajriya illa AAala Allahi wahuwa AAala kulli shayin shaheedun | |
| Yusuf Ali 47: | Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your interest: my reward is only due from Allah. And He is witness to all things." | |
| Shakir 47: | Say: Whatever reward I have asked of you, that is only for yourselves; my reward is only with Allah, and He is a witness of all things. | |

| Transliteration 50: | Qul in dalaltu fainnama adillu AAala nafsee waini ihtadaytu fabima yoohee ilayya rabbee innahu sameeAAun qareebun | |
| Yusuf Ali 50: | Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near." | |
| Shakir 50: | Say: If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it ?s because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh. | |

| 51 | وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلَا فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ | |
| Transliteration 51: | Walaw tara ith faziAAoo fala fawta waokhithoo min makanin qareebin | |
| Yusuf Ali 51: | If thou couldst but see when they will quake with terror; but then there will be no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a position (quite) near. | |
| Shakir 51: | And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place | |
| Pickthal 51: | Couldst thou but see when they are terrified with no escape, and are seized from near at hand, | |
| Mohsin Khan: 51: | And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place. | |

| Transliteration 53: | Waqad kafaroo bihi min qablu wayaqthifoona bialghaybi min makanin baAAeedin | |
| Yusuf Ali 53: | Seeing that they did reject Faith (entirely) before, and that they (continually) cast (slanders) on the unseen from a position far off? | |
| Shakir 53: | And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place. | |
| Pickthal 53: | When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. | |

| Transliteration 54: | Waheela baynahum wabayna ma yashtahoona kama fuAAila biashyaAAihim min qablu innahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebin | |
| Yusuf Ali 54: | And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt. | |
| Shakir 54: | And a barrier shall be placed between them and that which they desire, as was done with the likes of them before: surely they are in a disquieting doubt. | |
| Pickthal 54: | And a gulf is set between them and that which they desire, as was done for people of their kind of old. Lo! they were in hopeless doubt. | |
