1	وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا
Transliteration 1:	Waalshshamsi waduhaha
Yusuf Ali 1:	By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour;
Shakir 1:	I swear by the sun and its brilliance,
Pickthal 1:	By the sun and his brightness,
Mohsin Khan: 1:	By the sun and its brightness.
French 1:	Par le soleil et par sa clarté!
Spanish 1:	¡Por el sol y su claridad!
Indonesian 1:	Demi matahari dan cahayanya di pagi hari,
Melayu 1:	Demi matahari dan cahayanya yang terang-benderang;
German 1:	Bei der Sonne und bei ihrem Morgenglanz;
Russian 1:	Клянусь солнцем и его сиянием!
Bosnian 1:	Tako Mi Sunca i svjetla njegova,
Urdu 1:	سورج کی اور اس کی دھوپ کی قسم ہے
2	وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا
Transliteration 2:	Waalqamari itha talaha
Yusuf Ali 2:	By the Moon as she follows him;
Shakir 2:	And the moon when it follows the sun,
Pickthal 2:	And the moon when she followeth him,
Mohsin Khan: 2:	By the moon as it follows it (the sun).
French 2:	Et par la lune quand elle le suit!
Spanish 2:	¡Por la luna cuando le sigue!
Indonesian 2:	dan bulan apabila mengiringinya,

Urdu 2:	اور چاند کی جب وہ اس کے پیچھے آئے
3	وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا
Transliteration 3:	Waalnnahari itha jallaha
Yusuf Ali 3:	By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;
Shakir 3:	And the day when it shows it,
Pickthal 3:	And the day when it revealeth him,
Mohsin Khan: 3:	By the day as it shows up (the sun's) brightness.
French 3:	Et par le jour quand il l'éclaire!
Spanish 3:	¡Por el día cuando lo muestra brillante!
Indonesian 3:	dan siang apabila menampakkannya,
Melayu 3:	Dan siang apabila ia memperlihatkannya dengan jelas nyata;
German 3:	und bei dem Tage, wenn er sie erstrahlen läßt;
Russian 3:	Клянусь днем, который выявляет его (солнца) сияние!
Bosnian 3:	i dana kada ga vidljivim učini,
Urdu 3:	اور دن کی جب وہ اس کو روشن کر دے
4	وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا
Transliteration 4:	Waallayli itha yaghshaha
Yusuf Ali 4:	By the Night as it conceals it;
Shakir 4:	And the night when it draws a veil over it,
Pickthal 4:	And the night when it enshroudeth him,
Mohsin Khan: 4:	By the night as it conceals it (the sun).
French 4:	Et par la nuit quand elle l'enveloppe !
Spanish 4:	¡Por la noche cuando lo vela!
Indonesian 4:	dan malam apabila menutupinya ,

Urdu 4:	اور رات کی جب وہ اس کو ڈھانپ لے
5	وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا
Transliteration 5:	Waalssamai wama banaha
Yusuf Ali 5:	By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;
Shakir 5:	And the heaven and Him Who made it,
Pickthal 5:	And the heaven and Him Who built it,
Mohsin Khan: 5:	By the heaven and Him Who built it.
French 5:	Et par le ciel et Celui qui l'a construit!
Spanish 5:	¡Por el cielo y Quien lo ha edificado!
Indonesian 5:	dan langit serta pembinaannya,
Melayu 5:	Demi langit dan Yang membinanya (dalam bentuk yang kuat kukuh yang melambangkan kekuasaanNya);
German 5:	und bei dem Himmel und bei Dem, Der ihn aufgebaut hat;
Russian 5:	Клянусь небом и Тем, Кто его воздвиг (или тем, как Он воздвиг его)!
Bosnian 5:	i neba i Onoga koji ga sazda,
Urdu 5:	اور آسمان کی اور اس کی جس نے اس کو بنایا
6	وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا
Transliteration 6:	Waalardi wama tahaha
Yusuf Ali 6:	By the Earth and its (wide) expanse:
Shakir 6:	And the earth and Him Who extended it,
Pickthal 6:	And the earth and Him Who spread it,
Mohsin Khan: 6:	By the earth and Him Who spread it.
French 6:	Et par la terre et Celui qui l'a étendue!
Spanish 6:	¡Por la tierra y Quien la ha extentido!
Indonesian 6:	dan bumi serta penghamparannya,
Melayu 6:	Serta bumi dan Yang menghamparkannya (untuk kemudahan makhluk-makhlukNya);
German 6:	und bei der Erde und bei Dem, Der sie ausgebreitet hat;
Russian 6:	Клянусь землей и Тем, Кто ее распростер (или тем, как Он распростер ее)!
Bosnian 6:	i Zemlje i Onoga koji je ravnom učini,
Urdu 6:	اور زمین اور اس کی جس نے اس کو بچھایا
7	وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا
Transliteration 7:	Wanafsin wama sawwaha
Yusuf Ali 7:	By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it;
Shakir 7:	And the soul and Him Who made it perfect,
Pickthal 7:	And a soul and Him Who perfected it
Mohsin Khan: 7:	By Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion;
French 7:	Et par l'âme et Celui qui l'a harmonieusement façonnée;
Spanish 7:	¡Por el alma y Quien le ha dado forma armoniosa,
Indonesian 7:	dan jiwa serta penyempurnaannya (ciptaannya),
Melayu 7:	Demi diri manusia dan Yang menyempurnakan kejadiannya (dengan kelengkapan yang sesuai dengan keadaannya);
German 7:	und bei einer (jeden menschlichen) Seele und bei Dem, Der sie gebildet
Russian 7:	Клянусь душой и Тем, Кто придал ей соразмерный облик (или тем, как Он сделал ее облик соразмерным)
Bosnian 7:	i duše i Onoga koji je stvori
Urdu 7:	اور جان کی اور اس کی جس نے اس کو درست کیا
8	فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا
Transliteration 8:	Faalhamaha fujooraha wataqwaha
Yusuf Ali 8:	And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right;-
Shakir 8:	Then He inspired it to understand what is right and wrong for it;
Pickthal 8:	And inspired it (with conscience of) what is wrong for it and (what is) right for it.
Mohsin Khan: 8:	Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him.
French 8:	et lui a alors inspiré son immoralité, de même que sa piété!
Spanish 8:	instruyéndole sobre su propensión al pecado y su temor de Dios!
Indonesian 8:	maka Allah mengilhamkan kepada jiwa itu (jalan) kefasikan dan ketakwaannya,
Melayu 8:	Serta mengilhamkannya (untuk mengenal) jalan yang membawanya kepada kejahatan, dan yang membawanya kepada bertakwa;
German 8:	und ihr den Sinn für ihre Sündhaftigkeit und für ihre Gottesfurcht eingegeben hat!
Russian 8:	и внушил ей порочность и богобоязненность!
Bosnian 8:	pa joj put dobra i put zla shvatljivim učini,
Urdu 8:	پھر اس کو اس کی بدی اور نیکی سمجھائی
9	قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا
Transliteration 9:	Qad aflaha man zakkaha
Yusuf Ali 9:	Truly he succeeds that purifies it,
Shakir 9:	He will indeed be successful who purifies it,
Pickthal 9:	He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow,
Mohsin Khan: 9:	Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds).
French 9:	A réussi, certes celui qui la purifie.
Spanish 9:	¡Bienaventurado quien la purifique!
Indonesian 9:	sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang yang mensucikan jiwa itu,
Melayu 9:	Sesungguhnya berjayalah orang yang menjadikan dirinya yang sedia bersih bertambah-tambah bersih (dengan iman dan amal kebajikan),
German 9:	Erfolgreich ist derjenige, der sie rein hält;
Russian 9:	Преуспел тот, кто очистил ее,
Bosnian 9:	uspjeće samo onaj ko je očisti,
Urdu 9:	بے شک وہ کامیاب ہوا جس نے اپنی روح کو پاک کر لیا
10	وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا
Transliteration 10:	Waqad khaba man dassaha
Yusuf Ali 10:	And he fails that corrupts it!
Shakir 10:	And he will indeed fail who corrupts it.
Pickthal 10:	And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it.
Mohsin Khan: 10:	And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allah has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism or by following polytheism or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds).
French 10:	Et est perdu, certes, celui qui la corrompt.
Spanish 10:	¡Decepcionado, empero, quien la corrompa!
Indonesian 10:	dan sesungguhnya merugilah orang yang mengotorinya.
Melayu 10:	Dan sesungguhnya hampalah orang yang menjadikan dirinya yang sedia bersih itu susut dan terbenam kebersihannya (dengan sebab kekotoran maksiat).
German 10:	und versagt hat derjenige, der sie verkommen läßt.
Russian 10:	и понес урон тот, кто опорочил ее.
Bosnian 10:	a biće izgubljen onaj ko je na stranputicu odvodi!
Urdu 10:	اوربے شک وہ غارت ہوا جس نے اس کو آلودہ کر لیا
11	كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا
Transliteration 11:	Kaththabat thamoodu bitaghwaha
Yusuf Ali 11:	The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing,
Shakir 11:	Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy,
Pickthal 11:	(The tribe of) Thamud denied (the truth) in their rebellious pride,
Mohsin Khan: 11:	Thamud (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin).
French 11:	Les Tamud, par leur transgression, ont crié au mensonge,
Spanish 11:	Los tamudeos, en su arrogancia, desmintieron.
Indonesian 11:	(Kaum) Tsamud telah mendustakan (rasulnya) karena mereka melampaui batas,
Melayu 11:	(Ingatlah), kaum Thamud telah mendustakan (Rasulnya) dengan sebab perbuatan derhaka mereka yang melampaui batas;
German 11:	So leugneten die Thamud (die Wahrheit) in ihrem Trotz.
Russian 11:	Самудяне сочли лжецом пророка из-за своего беззакония,
Bosnian 11:	Semud je zbog obijesti svoje poricao:
Urdu 11:	ثمود نے اپنی سرکشی سے (صالح کو) جھٹلایا تھا
12	إِذِ انبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا
Transliteration 12:	Ithi inbaAAatha ashqaha
Yusuf Ali 12:	Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety).
Shakir 12:	When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with
Pickthal 12:	When the basest of them broke forth
Mohsin Khan: 12:	When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel).
French 12:	lorsque le plus misérable d'entre eux se leva (pour tuer la chamelle)
Spanish 12:	Cuando el más miserable de entre ellos se alzó.
Indonesian 12:	ketika bangkit orang yang paling celaka di antara mereka,
Melayu 12:	Ketika orang yang paling jahat di antara mereka menerima perintah dari mereka (supaya membunuh unta yang menjadi mukjizat),
German 12:	(Gedenke der Zeit) als der Unseligste unter ihnen auftrat.
Russian 12:	и самый несчастный из них вызвался убить верблюдицу.
Bosnian 12:	kad se jedan nesretnik između njih podigao,
Urdu 12:	جب کہ ان کا بڑا بدبخت اٹھا
13	فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا
Transliteration 13:	Faqala lahum rasoolu Allahi naqata Allahi wasuqyaha
Yusuf Ali 13:	But the Messenger of Allah said to them: "It is a She-camel of Allah. And (bar her not from) having her drink!"
Shakir 13:	So Allah's messenger said to them (Leave alone) Allah's she-camel, and (give) her (to) drink.
Pickthal 13:	And the messenger of Allah said: It is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink!
Mohsin Khan: 13:	But the Messenger of Allah [Salih عليه السلام] said to them: "Be cautious! (Fear the evil end). That is the she-camel of Allah! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!"
French 13:	Le Messager d'Allah leur avait dit: ‹La chamelle d'Allah! Laissez-la boire›
Spanish 13:	El enviado de Dios les dijo: "¡Dejad a la camella de Dios y que beba!"
Indonesian 13:	lalu Rasul Allah (Shaleh) berkata kepada mereka: ("Biarkanlah) unta betina Allah dan minumannya".
Melayu 13:	Maka berkatalah Rasul Allah (Nabi Soleh) kepada mereka: (Janganlah kamu ganggu) unta betina dari Allah itu dan (janganlah kamu menyekatnya daripada mendapat) air minumnya (supaya kamu tidak ditimpa azab)!
German 13:	"Da sagte der Gesandte Allahs zu ihnen: ""Haltet euch von der Kamelstute Allahs und von ihrer Tränke fern!""
Russian 13:	Посланник Аллаха сказал им: «Берегите верблюдицу и питье ее!»
Bosnian 13:	Allahov poslanik im je doviknuo: "Brinite se o Allahovoj kamili i vremenu kad treba da pije!",
Urdu 13:	پس ان سے الله کے رسول نے کہا کہ الله کی اونٹنی اور اس کے پانی پینے کی باری سے بچو
14	فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا
Transliteration 14:	Fakaththaboohu faAAaqarooha fadamdama AAalayhim rabbuhum bithanbihim fasawwaha
Yusuf Ali 14:	Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!
Shakir 14:	But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground).
Pickthal 14:	But they denied him, and they hamstrung her, so Allah doomed them for their sin and rased (their dwellings).
Mohsin Khan: 14:	Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)!
French 14:	Mais, ils le traitèrent de menteur, et la tuèrent. Leur Seigneur les détruisit donc, pour leur péché et étendit Son châtiment sur tous.
Spanish 14:	Le desmintieron y la desjarretaron. Su Señor, entonces, les aniquiló por su pecado, a todos por igual,
Indonesian 14:	Lalu mereka mendustakannya dan menyembelih unta itu, maka Tuhan mereka membinasakan mereka disebabkan dosa mereka, lalu Allah menyama-ratakan mereka (dengan tanah),
Melayu 14:	(Setelah Nabi Soleh memberi amaran) lalu mereka mendustakannya serta menyembelih unta itu. Dengan sebab dosa mereka, maka Tuhan menimpakan mereka dengan azab yang membinasakan serta Dia meratakan azab itu meliputi mereka (sehingga punah-ranah semuanya).
German 14:	"Sie aber bezichtigten ihn der Lüge und töteten sie; darum kam ihr Herr (zur Vergeltung) für ihre Schuld mit Seinem Zorn über sie und ebnete sie ein.
Russian 14:	Они сочли его лжецом и подрезали ей поджилки, а Господь поразил их за этот грех казнью, которая была одинакова для всех (или сровнял над ними землю).
Bosnian 14:	ali mu oni nisu povjerovali, već su je zaklali - i Gospodar njihov ih je zbog grijeha njihovih uništio i do posljednjeg istrijebio,
Urdu 14:	پس انہوں نے اس کو جھٹلایا اور اونٹنی کی کونچیں کاٹ ڈالیں پھر ان پر ان کے رب نےان کےگناہوں کے بدلے ہلاکت نازل کی پھر ان کو برابر کر دیا
15	وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا
Transliteration 15:	Wala yakhafu AAuqbaha
Yusuf Ali 15:	And for Him is no fear of its consequences.
Shakir 15:	And He fears not its consequence.
Pickthal 15:	He dreadeth not the sequel (of events).
Mohsin Khan: 15:	And He (Allah) feared not the consequences thereof.
French 15:	Et Allah n'a aucune crainte des conséquences:
Spanish 15:	sin temer las consecuencias de ello.
Indonesian 15:	dan Allah tidak takut terhadap akibat tindakan-Nya itu.
Melayu 15:	Dan Allah tidak hiraukan kesudahan (mereka) yang demikian, (kerana itu adalah balasan yang adil).
German 15:	Und Er fürchtet die Folgen nicht.
Russian 15:	Он не опасался последствий этого.
Bosnian 15:	i ne strahujući zbog toga od odgovornosti.
Urdu 15:	اوراس نے اس کےانجام کی پروا نہ کی
