| Transliteration 2: | Akana lilnnasi AAajaban an awhayna ila rajulin minhum an anthiri alnnasa wabashshiri allatheena amanoo anna lahum qadama sidqin AAinda rabbihim qala alkafiroona inna hatha lasahirun mubeenun |
| Yusuf Ali 2: | Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!" |
| Shakir 2: | What! is it a wonder to the people that We revealed to a man from among themselves, saying: Warn the people and give good news to those who believe that theirs is a footing of firmness with their Lord. The unbelievers say: This is most surely a manifest enchanter. |

| Transliteration 3: | Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yudabbiru alamra ma min shafeeAAin illa min baAAdi ithnihi thalikumu Allahu rabbukum faoAAbudoohu afala tathakkaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 3: | Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition? |

| Transliteration 4: | Ilayhi marjiAAukum jameeAAan waAAda Allahi haqqan innahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati bialqisti waallatheena kafaroo lahum sharabun min hameemin waAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 4: | To Him will be your return- of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him. |
| Shakir 4: | To Him is your return, of all (of you); the promise of Allah (made) in truth; surely He begins the creation in the first instance, then He reproduces it, that He may with justice recompense those who believe and do good; and (as for) those who disbelieve, they shall have a drink of hot water and painful punishment because they disbelieved. |

| Transliteration 5: | Huwa allathee jaAAala alshshamsa diyaan waalqamara nooran waqaddarahu manazila litaAAlamoo AAadada alssineena waalhisaba ma khalaqa Allahu thalika illa bialhaqqi yufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 5: | It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand. |

| Transliteration 6: | Inna fee ikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari wama khalaqa Allahu fee alssamawati waalardi laayatin liqawmin yattaqoona |
| Yusuf Ali 6: | Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth, are signs for those who fear Him. |
| Shakir 6: | Most surely in the variation of the night and the day, and what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, there are signs for a people who guard (against evil). |

| Transliteration 11: | Walaw yuAAajjilu Allahu lilnnasi alshsharra istiAAjalahum bialkhayri laqudiya ilayhim ajaluhum fanatharu allatheena la yarjoona liqaana fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona |
| Yusuf Ali 11: | If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good,- then would their respite be settled at once. But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro. |
| Shakir 11: | And if Allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those alone who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. |
| Pickthal 11: | If Allah were to hasten on for men the ill (that they have earned) as they would hasten on the good, their respite would already have expired. But We suffer those who look not for the meeting with Us to wander blindly on in their contumacy. |
| Mohsin Khan: 11: | And were Allah to hasten for mankind the evil (they invoke for themselves and for their children. while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the good (they invoke) then they would have been ruined. | Russian 11: | Если бы Аллах ускорил для людей наступление зла, которое они призывают в своих проклятиях, подобно тому, как Он ускорил для них наступление добра, о котором они просят в молитвах, то они непременно погибли бы. | Bosnian 11: | Da Allah ljudima daje zlo onako brzo kao što im se odaziva kad traže dobro, oni bi, uistinu, stradali. A Mi ipak ostavljamo da u zabludi svojoj lutaju oni koji ne vjeruju da će pred Nas stati. |
| Urdu 11: | اور اگر الله لوگوں کو برائی جلد پہنچا دے جس طرح وہ بھلائی جلدی مانگتے ہیں تو ان کی عمر ختم کر دی جائے سو ہم چھوڑے رکھتے ہیں ان لوگوں کو جنہیں ہماری ملاقات کی امید نہیں کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکتے رہیں |
| 12 | وَإِذَا مَسَّ الْإِنسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 12: | Waitha massa alinsana alddurru daAAana lijanbihi aw qaAAidan aw qaiman falamma kashafna AAanhu durrahu marra kaan lam yadAAuna ila durrin massahu kathalika zuyyina lilmusrifeena ma kanoo yaAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 12: | When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes! |
| Shakir 12: | And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction from him, he passes on as though he had never called on Us on account of an affliction that touched him; thus that which they do is made fair-seeming to the extravagant. |
| Pickthal 12: | And if misfortune touch a man he crieth unto Us, (while reclining) on his side, or sitting or standing, but when We have relieved him of the misfortune he goeth his way as though he had not cried unto Us because of a misfortune that afflicted him. Thus is what they do made (seeming) fair unto the prodigal. |
| Mohsin Khan: 12: | And when harm touches man, he invokes Us, lying on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, he passes on as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him! Thus it is made fair-seeming to the Musrifun that which they used to do. |

| Spanish 12: | Cuando el hombre sufre una desgracia, Nos invoca, lo mismo si está echado que si está sentado o de pie. Pero, en cuanto le libramos de su desgracia, continúa su camino como si no Nos hubiera invocado por la desgracia que sufría. Así es como son engalanadas las obras de los inmoderados. |
| Indonesian 12: | Dan apabila manusia ditimpa bahaya dia berdo'a kepada Kami dalam keadaan berbaring, duduk atau berdiri, tetapi setelah Kami hilangkan bahaya itu daripadanya, dia (kembali) melalui (jalannya yang sesat), seolah-olah dia tidak pernah berdo'a kepada Kami untuk (menghilangkan) bahaya yang telah menimpanya. Begitulah orang-orang yang melampaui batas itu memandang baik apa yang selalu mereka kerjakan. |
| Melayu 12: | Dan apabila seseorang manusia ditimpa kesusahan, merayulah dia kepada Kami Kami (dalam segala keadaan), samada dia sedang berbaring atau duduk ataupun berdiri dan manakala Kami hapuskan kesusahan itu daripadanya, dia terus membawa cara lamanya seolah-olah dia tidak pernah merayu kepada Kami memohon hapuskan sebarang kesusahan yang menimpanya (sebagaimana dia memandang eloknya bawaan itu) demikianlah diperelokkan pada pandangan orang-orang yang melampau apa yang mereka lakukan. |
| German 12: | Und wenn den Menschen ein Schaden trifft, ruft er Uns an, ob er nun auf der Seite liegt oder sitzt oder steht; haben Wir aber den Schaden von ihm fortgenommen, dann geht er seines Weges, als hätte er Uns nie um (die Befreiung) vom Schaden, der ihn getroffen hat, angerufen. Also zeigt sich den Maßlosen das in schönem Licht, was sie begangen haben. |
| Russian 12: | Когда человека поражает горе, он взывает к Нам и лежа на боку, и сидя, и стоя. Когда же Мы избавляем его от напасти, он проходит, словно никогда не взывал к Нам по поводу постигшего его несчастья. Вот как приукрашено преступникам то, что они совершают. |
| Bosnian 12: | Kada čovjeka snađe nevolja, on Nam se moli: ili ležeći, ili sjedeći, ili stojeći. A čim mu nevolju otklonimo, on nastavlja, kao da Nam se nije ni obraćao molbom zbog nevolje koja ga je bila zadesila. Tako se nevjernicima čini lijepim ono što rade. |
| Urdu 12: | اورجب انسان کو تکلیف پہنچتی ہے تو لیٹے اور بیٹھے اورکھڑے ہونے کی حالت میں ہمیں پکارتا ہے پھر جب ہم اس سے اس تکلیف کودور کر دیتے ہیں تو اس طرح گزر جاتا ہے گویا کہ ہمیں کسی تکلیف پہنچنے پر پکارا ہی نہ تھا اس طرح بیباکوں کو پسند آیا ہے جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں |
| 13 | وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا ۙ وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَمَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ |
| Transliteration 13: | Walaqad ahlakna alquroona min qablikum lamma thalamoo wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati wama kanoo liyuminoo kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena |
| Yusuf Ali 13: | Generations before you We destroyed when they did wrong: their apostles came to them with clear-signs, but they would not believe! thus do We requite those who sin! |
| Shakir 13: | And certainly We did destroy generations before you when they were unjust, and their messengers had come to them with clear arguments, and they would not believe; thus do We recompense the guilty people. |
| Pickthal 13: | We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk. |
| Mohsin Khan: 13: | And indeed, We destroyed generations before you when they did wrong, while their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe! Thus do We requite the people who are Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals). |

| Indonesian 13: | Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah membinasakan umat-umat yang sebelum kamu, ketika mereka berbuat kezaliman, padahal rasul-rasul mereka telah datang kepada mereka dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan yang nyata, tetapi mereka sekali-kali tidak hendak beriman. Demikianlah Kami memberi pembalasan kepada orang-orang yang berbuat dosa. |
| Melayu 13: | Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah membinasakan umat-umat yang terdahulu daripada kamu semasa mereka berlaku zalim padahal telah datang kepada mereka Rasul-rasul mereka membawa keterangan-keterangan dan mereka masih juga tidak beriman. Demikianlah Kami membalas kaum yang melakukan kesalahan. |
| German 13: | Und Wir vernichteten die Geschlechter vor euch, als sie frevelten; denn zu ihnen kamen ihre Gesandten mit deutlichen Zeichen, sie aber wollten nicht glauben. Also vergelten Wir (dies) der verbrecherischen Schar. |
| Russian 13: | Мы погубили поколения, жившие до вас, поскольку они поступали несправедливо и не уверовали в Наших посланников, явившихся к ним с ясными знамениями. Так Мы наказываем грешных людей. |

| 14 | ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ خَلَائِفَ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 14: | Thumma jaAAalnakum khalaifa fee alardi min baAAdihim linanthura kayfa taAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 14: | Then We made you heirs in the land after them, to see how ye would behave! |
| Shakir 14: | Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may see how you act. |
| Pickthal 14: | Then We appointed you viceroys in the earth after them, that We might see how ye behave. |
| Mohsin Khan: 14: | Then We made you successors after them, generations after generations in the land, that We might see how you would work. |
| French 14: | Puis nous fîmes de vous des successeurs sur terre après eux, pour voir comment vous agiriez. |
| Spanish 14: | Luego, os constituimos sucesores en la tierra, después de ellos, para ver cómo os portabais. |
| Indonesian 14: | Kemudian Kami jadikan kamu pengganti-pengganti (mereka) di muka bumi sesudah mereka, supaya Kami memperhatikan bagaimana kamu berbuat. |
| Melayu 14: | Kemudian Kami jadikan kamu (wahai umat Muhammad) khalifah-khalifah di bumi menggantikan mereka yang telah dibinasakan itu, supaya Kami melihat apa pula corak dan bentuk kelakuan yang kamu akan lakukan. |
| German 14: | Danach machten Wir euch zu ihren Nachfolgern auf der Erde, auf daß Wir schauten, wie ihr handeln würdet. |
| Russian 14: | Потом Мы сделали вас их преемниками на земле, чтобы посмотреть, как вы будете поступать. |
| Bosnian 14: | Zatim smo vas poslije njih namjesnicima na Zemlji učinili, da bismo vidjeli kako ćete postupati. |
| Urdu 14: | پھر ہم نے تمہیں ان کے بعد زمین میں نائب بنایا تاکہ دیکھیں تم کیا کرتے ہو |
| 15 | وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ ۙ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا ائْتِ بِقُرْآنٍ غَيْرِ هَـٰذَا أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ ۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُ مِن تِلْقَاءِ نَفْسِي ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
| Transliteration 15: | Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana iti biquranin ghayri hatha aw baddilhu qul ma yakoonu lee an obaddilahu min tilqai nafsee in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin |
| Yusuf Ali 15: | But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)." |
| Shakir 15: | And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who hope not for Our meeting say: Bring a Quran other than this or change it. Say: It does not beseem me that I should change it of myself; I follow naught but what is revealed to me; surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of a mighty day. |
| Pickthal 15: | And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them, they who look not for the meeting with Us say: Bring a Lecture other than this, or change it. Say (O Muhammad): It is not for me to change it of my accord. I only follow that which is inspired in me. Lo! if I disobey my Lord I fear the retribution of an awful Day. |
| Mohsin Khan: 15: | And when Our clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: "Bring us a Qur'an other than this, or change it." Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) if I were to disobey my Lord." |
| French 15: | Et quand leur sont récités Nos versets en toute clarté, ceux qui n'espèrent pas notre rencontre disent: ‹Apporte un Coran autre que celui-ci› ou bien ‹Change-le›. Dis: ‹Il ne m'appartient pas de le changer de mon propre chef. Je ne fait que suivre ce qui m'est révélé. Je crains, si je désobéis à mon Seigneur, le châtiment d'un jour terrible›. |
| Spanish 15: | Cuando se les recitan Nuestras aleyas como pruebas claras, quienes no cuentan con encontrarnos dicen: "¡Tráenos otro Corán o modifica éste!" Di: "No me toca a mí modificarlo por iniciativa propia. Lo único que hago es seguir lo que se me ha revelado. Temo, si desobedezco a mi Señor, el castigo de un día terrible". |
| Indonesian 15: | Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami yang nyata, orang-orang yang tidak mengharapkan pertemuan dengan Kami berkata: "Datangkanlah Al Qur'an yang lain dari ini atau gantilah dia". Katakanlah: "Tidaklah patut bagiku menggantinya dari pihak diriku sendiri. Aku tidak mengikut kecuali apa yang diwahyukan kepadaku. Sesungguhnya aku takut jika mendurhakai Tuhanku kepada siksa hari yang besar (kiamat)". |
| Melayu 15: | Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami yang jelas nyata, berkatalah orang-orang yang tidak menaruh ingatan menemui Kami (untuk menerima balasan): Bawalah Quran yang lain daripada ini atau tukarkanlah dia. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Aku tidak berhak menukarkannya dengan kemahuanku sendiri, aku hanya tetap menurut apa yang diwahyukan kepadaku sahaja. Sesungguhnya aku takut, jika aku menderhaka kepada Tuhanku, akan azab hari yang besar (soal jawabnya). |
| German 15: | "Und wenn ihnen Unsere deutlichen Verse verlesen werden, sagen jene, die nicht mit der Begegnung mit Uns rechnen: ""Bring einen Qur'an, der anders ist als dieser oder ändere ihn."" Sprich: ""Es steht mir nicht zu, ihn aus eigenem Antrieb zu ändern. Ich folge nur dem, was mir offenbart wurde. Ich fürchte, falls ich meinem Herrn ungehorsam bin, die Strafe eines gewaltigen Tages."" |
| Russian 15: | Когда Наши ясные аяты читают тем, которые не надеются на встречу с Нами, они говорят: «Принеси нам другой Коран или замени его!» Скажи: «Не подобает мне заменять его по своему желанию. Я лишь следую тому, что внушается мне в откровении, и боюсь, что если я ослушаюсь Господа моего, то меня постигнут мучения в Великий день». |
| Bosnian 15: | A kad im se kazuju ajeti Naši, koji su jasni, onda govore oni koji ne vjeruju da će pred Nas stati: "Donesi ti kakav drugi Kur’an ili ga izmijeni!" - Reci: "Nezamislivo je da ga ja sam od sebe mijenjam, ja slijedim samo ono što mi se objavljuje, ja se bojim - ako budem neposlušan svome Gospodaru - patnje na Velikom danu." |
| Urdu 15: | اور جب ان کے سامنے ہماری واضح آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں وہ لوگ کہتے ہیں جنہیں ہم سے ملاقات کی امید نہیں کہ اس کے سوا کوئی قرآن لے آ یا اسے بدل دے تو کہہ دے میرا کام نہیں کہ اپنی طرف سے اسے بدل دوں میں اس کی تابعداری کرتا ہوں جو میری طرف وحی کی جائے اگر میں اپنے رب کی نافرمانی کروں توبڑے دن کے عذاب سے ڈرتا ہوں |
| 16 | قُل لَّوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا تَلَوْتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَا أَدْرَاكُم بِهِ ۖ فَقَدْ لَبِثْتُ فِيكُمْ عُمُرًا مِّن قَبْلِهِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ |
| Transliteration 16: | Qul law shaa Allahu ma talawtuhu AAalaykum wala adrakum bihi faqad labithtu feekum AAumuran min qablihi afala taAAqiloona |
| Yusuf Ali 16: | Say: "If Allah had so willed, I should not have rehearsed it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. A whole life-time before this have I tarried amongst you: will ye not then understand?" |
| Shakir 16: | Say: If Allah had desired (otherwise) I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have taught it to you; indeed I have lived a lifetime among you before it; do you not then understand? |
| Pickthal 16: | Say: If Allah had so willed I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. I dwelt among you a whole lifetime before it (came to me). Have ye then no sense? |
| Mohsin Khan: 16: | Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "If Allah had so willed, I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed amongst you a life time before this. Have you then no sense?" |

| Spanish 16: | Di: "Si Alá hubiera querido, yo no os lo habría recitado y Él no os lo habría dado a conocer. Antes de él, he permanecido una vida con vosotros. ¿Es que no razonáis?" |
| Indonesian 16: | Katakanlah: "Jikalau Allah menghendaki, niscaya aku tidak membacakannya kepadamu dan Allah tidak (pula) memberitahukannya kepadamu". Sesungguhnya aku telah tinggal bersamamu beberapa lama sebelumnya. Maka apakah kamu tidak memikirkannya? |
| Melayu 16: | Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Jika Allah kehendaki (supaya aku tidak membacakan Al-Quran ini kepada kamu), tentulah aku tidak dapat membacakannya kepada kamu, dan tentulah Dia tidak memberitahu kamu akan Al-Quran ini (dengan perantaraanku); kerana sesungguhnya aku telah tinggal dalam kalangan kamu satu masa yang lanjut (dan kamu pula mengenal aku sebagai seorang yang amanah) sebelum turunnya Al-Quran ini; maka mengapa kamu tidak mahu memikirkannya? |
| German 16: | ""Sprich: ""Hätte Allah es gewollt, so hätte ich ihn euch nicht verlesen, noch hätte Er ihn euch kundgetan. Ich habe doch wahrlich ein Menschenalter unter euch gelebt, bevor (der Qur'an da war). Wollt ihr denn nicht begreifen?"" |
| Russian 16: | Скажи: «Если бы Аллах пожелал, то я не стал бы читать его вам, и Он не стал бы обучать вас ему. Прежде я прожил с вами целую жизнь. Неужели вы не разумеете?» |
| Bosnian 16: | Reci: "Da Allah nije htio, ja vam ga ne bih kazivao niti bi vas On s njim upoznao. Ta ja sam prije poslanstva dugo među vama boravio - zar ne shvaćate?" |
| Urdu 16: | کہہ دو اگر الله چاہتا تو میں اسے تمہارےسامنے نہ پڑھتا اورنہ وہی تمہیں اس سے خبردار کرتا کیوں کہ اس سے پہلے تم میں ایک عمر گذار چکا ہوں کیا پھر تم نہیں سمجھتے |
| 17 | فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 17: | Faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi innahu la yuflihu almujrimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 17: | Who doth more wrong than such as forge a lie against Allah, or deny His Signs? But never will prosper those who sin. |
| Shakir 17: | Who is then more unjust than who forges a lie against Allah or (who) gives the lie to His communications? Surely the guilty shall not be successful. |
| Pickthal 17: | Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah and denieth His revelations? Lo! the guilty never are successful. |
| Mohsin Khan: 17: | So who does more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allah or denies His Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)? Surely, the Mujrimun (criminals, sinners, disbelievers and polytheists) will never be successful! |
| French 17: | Qui est plus injuste que celui qui invente un mensonge contre Allah, ou qui traite de mensonges Ses versets (le Coran)? Vraiment, les criminels ne réussissent pas. |
| Spanish 17: | ¿Hay alguien que sea más impío que quien inventa una mentira contra Alá o desmiente Sus signos? Los pecadores no prosperarán. |
| Indonesian 17: | Maka siapakah yang lebih zalim daripada orang yang mengada-adakan kedustaan terhadap Allah atau mendustakan ayat-ayat-Nya? Sesungguhnya, tiadalah beruntung orang-orang yang berbuat dosa. |
| Melayu 17: | Dengan yang demikian, tidaklah ada yang lebih zalim daripada orang yang berdusta terhadap Allah atau yang mendustakan ayat-ayatNya. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang berdosa itu tidak akan berjaya. |
| German 17: | "Wer ist wohl ungerechter als jener, der eine Lüge gegen Allah erdichtet oder Seine Zeichen für Lügen erklärt? Wahrlich, die Verbrecher haben keinen Erfolg. |
| Russian 17: | Кто может быть несправедливее того, кто возвел на Аллаха навет или отверг Его знамения? Воистину, грешники не преуспеют. |
| Bosnian 17: | Pa ima li onda nepravednijeg od onoga koji o Allahu laži iznosi ili koji Njegove dokaze smatra neistinitim?! Mnogobošci doista neće uspjeti. |
| Urdu 17: | پھر اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہو گا جو الله پر بہتان باندھے یا اس کی آیتوں کو جھٹلائے بے شک گناہگاروں کابھلا نہیں ہوتا |
| 18 | وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ شُفَعَاؤُنَا عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ |
| Transliteration 18: | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloona haolai shufaAAaona AAinda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la yaAAlamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona |
| Yusuf Ali 18: | They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!" |
| Shakir 18: | And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you (presume to) inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set up (with Him). |
| Pickthal 18: | They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth them nor profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with Him)! |
| Mohsin Khan: 18: | And they worship besides Allah things that harm them not, nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do you inform Allah of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth?" Glorified and Exalted is He above all that which they associate as partners (with Him)! |

| Spanish 18: | En lugar de servir a Alá, sirven lo que no puede ni dañarles ni aprovecharles, y dicen: "¡Éstos son nuestros intercesores ante Alá!" Di: "¿Es que pretendéis informar a Alá de algo, en los cielos o en la tierra, que Él no sepa?" ¡Gloria a Él! ¡Está por encima de lo que Le asocian! |
| Indonesian 18: | Dan mereka menyembah selain daripada Allah apa yang tidak dapat mendatangkan kemudharatan kepada mereka dan tidak (pula) kemanfa'atan, dan mereka berkata: "Mereka itu adalah pemberi syafa'at kepada kami di sisi Allah". Katakanlah: "Apakah kamu mengabarkan kepada Allah apa yang tidak diketahui-Nya baik di langit dan tidak (pula) di bumi?" Maha Suci Allah dan Maha Tinggi dari apa yang mereka mempersekutukan (itu). |
| Melayu 18: | Dan mereka menyembah yang lain dari Allah, sesuatu yang tidak dapat mendatangkan mudarat kepada mereka dan tidak dapat mendatangkan manfaat kepada mereka dan mereka pula berkata: Mereka (yang kami sembah itu) ialah pemberi-pemberi syafaat kepada kami di sisi Allah. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Adakah kamu hendak memberitahu kepada Allah akan apa yang Dia tidak mengetahui adanya di langit dan di bumi (padahal Allah mengetahui segala-galanya)? Maha Suci Allah dan tertinggi keadaanNya dari apa yang mereka sekutukan. |
| German 18: | "Sie verehren statt Allah das, was ihnen weder schaden noch nützen kann; und sie sagen: ""Das sind unsere Fürsprecher bei Allah."" Sprich: ""Wollt ihr Allah von etwas Nachricht geben, was Ihm in den Himmeln oder auf der Erde unbekannt ist?"" Gepriesen sei Er, und hoch Erhaben ist Er über das, was sie (Ihm) zur Seite stellen. |
| Russian 18: | Они поклоняются наряду с Аллахом тому, что не причиняет им вреда и не приносит им пользы. Они говорят: «Они – наши заступники перед Аллахом». Скажи: «Разве вы можете поведать Аллаху такое на небесах и на земле, чего бы Он не знал?» Пречист Он и превыше тех, кого вы приобщаете в сотоварищи. |
| Bosnian 18: | Oni se, pored Allaha, klanjaju onima koji im ne mogu nauditi niti im mogu kakvu korist pribaviti, i govore: "Ovo su naši zagovornici kod Allaha." Reci: "Kako da Allahu kazujete da na nebesima i na Zemlji postoji nešto, a On zna da ne postoji!" Neka je slavljen On i vrlo visoko iznad onih koje smatraju Njemu ravnim! |
| Urdu 18: | اور الله کے سوا اس چیز کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جونہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکے اورنہ انہیں نفع دے سکے اور کہتے ہیں الله کے ہاں یہ ہمارے سفارشی ہیں کہہ دو کیا تم الله کو بتلاتے ہو جو اسے آسمانوں اور زمین میں معلوم نہیں وہ پاک ہے اوران لوگو ں کے شرک سے بلند ہے |
| 19 | وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَاخْتَلَفُوا ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ |
| Transliteration 19: | Wama kana alnnasu illa ommatan wahidatan faikhtalafoo walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum feema feehi yakhtalifoona |
| Yusuf Ali 19: | Mankind was but one nation, but differed (later). Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, their differences would have been settled between them. |
| Shakir 19: | And people are naught but a single nation, so they disagree; and had not a word already gone forth from your Lord, the matter would have certainly been decided between them in respect of that concerning which they disagree. |
| Pickthal 19: | Mankind were but one community; then they differed; and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from thy Lord it had been judged between them in respect of that wherein they differ. |
| Mohsin Khan: 19: | Mankind were but one community (i.e. on one religion - Islamic Monotheism), then they differed (later); and had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, it would have been settled between them regarding what they differed . |
| French 19: | Les gens ne formaient (à l'origine) qu'une seule communauté. Puis ils divergèrent. Et si ce n'était une décision préalable de ton Seigneur, les litiges qui les opposaient auraient été tranchés. |
| Spanish 19: | La Humanidad no constituía sino una sola comunidad. Luego, discreparon entre sí y, si no llega a ser por una palabra previa de tu Señor, ya se habría decidido entre ellos sobre aquello en que discrepaban. |
| Indonesian 19: | Manusia dahulunya hanyalah satu umat, kemudian mereka berselisih . Kalau tidaklah karena suatu ketetapan yang telah ada dari Tuhanmu dahulu , pastilah telah diberi keputusan di antara mereka , tentang apa yang mereka perselisihkan itu. |
| Melayu 19: | Dan (ketahuilah bahawa) manusia pada mulanya tidak memeluk melainkan agama yang satu (agama Allah), kemudian (dengan sebab menurut hawa nafsu dan Syaitan) mereka berselisihan dan kalau tidaklah kerana telah terdahulu Kalimah ketetapan dari Tuhanmu (untuk menangguhkan hukuman hingga hari kiamat), tentulah telah diputuskan hukuman di antara mereka (dengan segeranya di dunia) mengenai apa yang mereka perselisihkan itu. |
| German 19: | "Die Menschen waren einst nur eine einzige Gemeinde, dann aber wurden sie uneins; und wäre nicht ein Wort von deinem Herrn vorausgegangen, wäre zwischen ihnen bereits über das, worüber sie uneins waren, entschieden worden. |
| Russian 19: | Люди были единой общиной верующих, но впали в разногласия. И если бы прежде не было Слова твоего Господа, то их разногласия были бы разрешены. |
| Bosnian 19: | Ljudi su jednu zajednicu sačinjavali, a onda su se jedan drugome suprotstavili. A da nije Riječi ranije izrečene od Gospodara tvoga, ovima bi već bilo presuđeno o onome oko čega se razilaze. |
| Urdu 19: | اوروہ لوگ ایک ہی امت تھے پھر جدا جدا ہو گئے اور اگر ایک بات تمہارے پرودگار کی طرف سے پہلے نہ ہو چکی ہو تی تو جن باتوں میں وہ اختلاف کر تے ہیں ان میں فیصلہ کر دیا جاتا ہے |
| 20 | وَيَقُولُونَ لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ ۖ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَا الْغَيْبُ لِلَّهِ فَانتَظِرُوا إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُنتَظِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 20: | Wayaqooloona lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi faqul innama alghaybu lillahi faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena |
| Yusuf Ali 20: | They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen is only for Allah (to know), then wait ye: I too will wait with you." |
| Shakir 20: | And they say: Why is not a sign sent to him from his Lord? Say: The unseen is only for Allah; therefore wait-- surely I too, with you am of those who wait. |
| Pickthal 20: | And they will say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Then say, (O Muhammad): The Unseen belongeth to Allah. So wait! Lo! I am waiting with you. |
| Mohsin Khan: 20: | And they say: "How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen belongs to Allah Alone, so wait you, verily, I am with you among those who wait (for Allah's Judgement)." |

| Indonesian 20: | Dan mereka berkata: "Mengapa tidak diturunkan kepadanya (Muhammad) suatu keterangan (mu'jizat) dari Tuhannya?" Maka katakanlah: " Sesungguhnya yang ghaib itu kepunyaan Allah; sebab itu tunggu (sajalah) olehmu, sesungguhnya aku bersama kamu termasuk orang-orang yang menunggu. |
| Melayu 20: | Dan mereka yang ingkar itu berkata: Mengapa tidak diturunkan kepada (Muhammad) satu mukjizat dari Tuhannya? | 21 | وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً مِّن بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكْرٌ فِي آيَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ |
| Transliteration 21: | Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan min baAAdi darraa massathum itha lahum makrun fee ayatina quli Allahu asraAAu makran inna rusulana yaktuboona ma tamkuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 21: | When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah." Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make! |
| Shakir 21: | And when We make people taste of mercy after an affliction touches them, lo ! they devise plans against Our communication. Say: Allah is quicker to plan; surely Our messengers write down what you plan. |
| Pickthal 21: | And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo! Our messengers write down that which ye plot. |
| Mohsin Khan: 21: | And when We let mankind taste mercy after some adversity has afflicted them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)! Say: "Allah is more Swift in planning!" Certainly, Our Messengers (angels) record all of that which you plot. |

| Spanish 21: | Apenas hacemos gustar a los hombres una misericordia, después de haber sufrido una desgracia, al punto intrigan contra Nuestros signos. Di: "¡Alá es más rápido en intrigar!" Nuestros enviados toman nota de vuestra intriga. |
| Indonesian 21: | Dan apabila Kami merasakan kepada manusia suatu rahmat, sesudah (datangnya) bahaya menimpa mereka, tiba-tiba mereka mempunyai tipu daya dalam (menentang) tanda-tanda kekuasaan Kami. Katakanlah: "Allah lebih cepat pembalasannya (atas tipu daya itu)". Sesungguhnya malaikat-malaikat Kami menuliskan tipu dayamu. |
| Melayu 21: | Dan apabila Kami beri manusia merasai sesuatu rahmat sesudah mereka ditimpa sesuatu kesusahan, mereka dengan serta-merta melakukan rancangan mereka menentang ayat-ayat keterangan Kami dengan mendustakannya dan mengingkarinya. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Allah lebih cepat melakukan rancangan menentangnya! Sesungguhnya malaikat-malaikat utusan Kami sentiasa menulis akan rancangan tipu daya yang kamu jalankan itu. |
| German 21: | ""Und wenn Wir die Menschen Barmherzigkeit erleben lassen, nachdem Unheil sie getroffen hat, siehe, dann beginnen sie wieder, gegen Unsere Zeichen Pläne zu schmieden. Sprich: ""Allah schmiedet die Pläne schneller."" Unsere Boten schreiben wahrlich alles nieder, was ihr an Plänen schmiedet. |
| Russian 21: | Когда Мы дали людям вкусить милость после того, как их постигло бедствие, они тотчас начали ухищряться против Наших знамений. Скажи: «Аллах быстрее в ухищрениях!» Воистину, Наши посланцы записывают ваши козни. |

| 22 | هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ ۙ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَـٰذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 22: | Huwa allathee yusayyirukum fee albarri waalbahri hatta itha kuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatin wafarihoo biha jaatha reehun AAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makanin wathannoo annahum oheeta bihim daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena lain anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena |
| Yusuf Ali 22: | He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships;- they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!" |
| Shakir 22: | He it is Who makes you travel by land and sea; until when you are in the ships, and they sail on with them in a pleasant breeze, and they rejoice, a violent wind overtakes them and the billows surge in on them from all sides, and they become certain that they are encompassed about, they pray to Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience: If Thou dost deliver us from this, we will most certainly be of the grateful ones. |

Cuando, navegando con viento favorable, contentos con él, se levanta un viento tempestuoso, azotan las olas por todas partes y creen llegada la hora de la muerte, invocan a Alá rindiéndole culto sincero. "Si nos salvas de ésta, seremos, ciertamente, de los agradecidos". |
| Indonesian 22: | Dialah Tuhan yang menjadikan kamu dapat berjalan di daratan, (berlayar) di lautan. Sehingga apabila kamu berada di dalam bahtera, dan meluncurlah bahtera itu membawa orang-orang yang ada di dalamnya dengan tiupan angin yang baik, dan mereka bergembira karenanya, datanglah angin badai, dan (apabila) gelombang dari segenap penjuru menimpanya, dan mereka yakin bahwa mereka telah terkepung (bahaya), maka mereka berdo'a kepada Allah dengan mengikhlaskan keta'atan kepada-Nya semata-mata. (Mereka berkata): "Sesungguhnya jika engkau menyelamatkan kami dari bahaya ini, pastilah kami akan termasuk orang-orang yang bersyukur". |
| Melayu 22: | Dialah yang menjalankan kamu di darat dan di laut (dengan diberi kemudahan menggunakan berbagai jenis kenderaan); sehingga apabila kamu berada di dalam bahtera dan bahtera itu pula bergerak laju membawa penumpang-penumpangnya dengan tiupan angin yang baik dan mereka pun bersukacita dengannya; tiba-tiba datanglah kepadanya angin ribut yang kencang dan mereka pula didatangi ombak menimpa dari segala penjuru, serta mereka percaya bahawa mereka diliputi oleh bahaya; pada saat itu mereka semua berdoa kepada Allah dengan mengikhlaskan kepercayaan mereka kepadaNya semata-mata (sambil merayu dengan berkata): Demi sesungguhnya! jika Engkau (Ya Allah) selamatkan kami dari bahaya ini, kami tetap menjadi orang-orang yang bersyukur. |
| German 22: | ""Er ist es, Der euch zu Lande und zur See Wege bereitet, bis daß, wenn ihr an Bord der Schiffe seid und diese mit ihnen (den Passagieren) bei gutem Wind dahinsegeln und sich darüber freuen, ein Sturm sie plötzlich erfaßt und die Wogen von allen Seiten über sie zusammenschlagen. Und sie meinen schon, sie seien rings umschlossen - da rufen sie Allah in vollem, aufrichtigen Glauben an: ""Wenn Du uns aus diesem (Sturm) errettest, so werden wir sicherlich unter den Dankbaren sein."" |
| Russian 22: | Он – Тот, Кто предоставил вам возможность путешествовать по суше и по морю. Вы путешествуете на кораблях, плывущих вместе с ними при благоприятном ветре, которому они рады. Но вдруг подует ураганный ветер, и волны подступят к ним со всех сторон. Они решат, что они окружены, и станут взывать к Аллаху, очищая перед Ним веру: «Если Ты спасешь нас отсюда, то мы будем одними из благодарных!» |

| Urdu 22: | وہ وہی ہے جو تمہیں جنگل اور دریا میں سیر کرنے کی توفیق دیتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتیوں میں بیٹھتے ہو اور وہ کشتیاں لوگو ں کو موافق ہوا کے ذریعہ سے لے کرچلتی ہیں اور وہ لوگ ان سے خوش ہوتے ہیں تو ناگہاں تیز ہوا چلتی ہے اور ہر طرف سے ان پر لہریں چھانے لگتی ہیں اور و ہ خیال کرتے ہیں کہ بےشک وہ لہروں میں گھر گئے ہیں تو سب خالص اعتقاد سے الله ہی کو پکارنے لگتے ہیں کہ اگر تو ہمیں اس مصیبت سے بچادے تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار رہیں گے |
| 23 | فَلَمَّا أَنجَاهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۗ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِكُم ۖ مَّتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 23: | Falamma anjahum itha hum yabghoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi ya ayyuha alnnasu innama baghyukum AAala anfusikum mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma ilayna marjiAAukum fanunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 23: | But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls,- an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did. |
| Shakir 23: | But when He delivers them, lo! they are unjustly rebellious in the earth. O men! your rebellion is against your own souls-- provision (only) of this world's life-- then to Us shall be your return, so We will inform you of what you did. |
| Pickthal 23: | Yet when He hath delivered them, behold! they rebel in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves. (Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world; then unto Us is your return and We shall proclaim unto you what ye used to do. |

Your rebellion (disobedience to Allah) is only against your ownselves, - a brief enjoyment of this worldly life, then (in the end) unto Us is your return, and We shall inform you of that which you used to do. |

| Spanish 23: | Y apenas les salva, ya en tierra, al punto se insolentan injustamente. "¡Hombres! ¡Vuestra insolencia se volverá contra vosotros! Tendréis breve disfrute de la vida de acá. Luego, volveréis a Nosotros y ya os informaremos de lo que hacíais". |
| Indonesian 23: | Maka tatkala Allah menyelamatkan mereka, tiba-tiba mereka membuat kezaliman di muka bumi tanpa (alasan) yang benar. Hai manusia, sesungguhnya (bencana) kezalimanmu akan menimpa dirimu sendiri; (hasil kezalimanmu) itu hanyalah keni'matan hidup duniawi, kemudian kepada Kami-lah kembalimu, lalu Kami kabarkan kepadamu apa yang telah kamu kerjakan. |
| Melayu 23: | Kemudian bila sahaja Allah selamatkan mereka, mereka dengan serta-merta merebakkan perbuatan derhaka di bumi dengan tidak ada sebarang alasan yang benar. Wahai manusia! Sesungguhnya perbuatan kamu menderhaka itu hanyalah bala bencana terhadap diri kamu sendiri. (Dengan itu kamu hanya dapat merasai) kesenangan hidup di dunia (bagi sementara); kemudian kepada kamilah tempat kembalinya kamu, maka Kami akan memberitahu apa yang kamu telah lakukan. |
| German 23: | "Doch wenn Er sie dann errettet hat, siehe, schon beginnen sie wieder, ohne Berechtigung auf Erden Gewalt zu verüben. O ihr Menschen, eure Gewalttat richtet sich nur gegen euch selbst. (Genießt) die Gaben des diesseitigen Lebens. Zu Uns sollt ihr dann heimkehren; dann werden Wir euch verkünden, was ihr getan habt. |
| Russian 23: | Когда же Он спасает их, они бесчинствуют на земле безо всякого права на то. О люди! Ваши бесчинства обернутся против вас самих. Это – преходящее наслаждение мирской жизнью. Потом Вы возвратитесь к Нам, и Мы поведаем вам о том, что вы совершали. |

| Urdu 23: | پھر جب الله انہیں نجات دے دیتا ہے تو ملک میں ناحق شرارت کرنے لگتے ہیں اے لوگو تمہاری شرارت کا وبال تمہاری جانو ں پر ہی پڑے گا دنیا کی زندگی کا نفع اٹھا لو پھر ہمارے ہاں ہی تمہیں لوٹ کر آناہے پھر ہم تمہیں بتلادیں گے جو کچھ تم کیا کرتے تھے |
| 24 | إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاءٍ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الْأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالْأَنْعَامُ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذَتِ الْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَا أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَاهَا أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيدًا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِالْأَمْسِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ |
| Transliteration 24: | Innama mathalu alhayati alddunya kamain anzalnahu mina alssamai faikhtalata bihi nabatu alardi mimma yakulu alnnasu waalanAAamu hatta itha akhathati alardu zukhrufaha waizzayyanat wathanna ahluha annahum qadiroona AAalayha ataha amruna laylan aw naharan fajaAAalnaha haseedan kaan lam taghna bialamsi kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yatafakkaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 24: | The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect. |
| Shakir 24: | The likeness of this world's life is only as water which We send down from the cloud, then the herbage of the earth of which men and cattle eat grows luxuriantly thereby, until when the earth puts on its golden raiment and it becomes garnished, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, so We render it as reaped seed; produce, as though it had not been in existence yesterday; thus do We make clear the communications for a people who reflect. |
| Pickthal 24: | The similitude of the life of the world is only as water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or by day and We make it as reaped corn as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do we expound the revelations for people who reflect. |
| Mohsin Khan: 24: | Verily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky; so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat: until when the earth is clad in its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, laws, etc.) in detail for the people who reflect. |
| French 24: | La vie présente est comparable à une eau que Nous faisons descendre du ciel et qui se mélange à la végétation de la terre dont se nourrissent les hommes et les bêtes. Puis lorsque la terre prend sa parure et s'embellit, et que ses habitants pensent qu'elles est à leur entière disposition, Notre Ordre lui vient, de nuit ou de jour, c'est alors que Nous la rendrons toute moissonnée, comme si elle n'avait pas été florissante la veille. Ainsi exposons-Nous les preuves pour des gens qui réfléchissent. |
| Spanish 24: | La vida de acá es como agua que hacemos bajar del cielo. Las plantas de la tierra se empapan de ella y alimentan a los hombres y a los rebaños, hasta que, cuando la tierra se ha adornado y engalanado, y creen los hombres que ya la dominan, llega a ella Nuestra orden, de noche o de día, y la dejamos cual rastrojo, como si, la víspera, no hubiera estado floreciente. Así explicamos los signos a gente que reflexiona. |
| Indonesian 24: | Sesungguhnya perumpamaan kehidupan duniawi itu, adalah seperti air (hujan) yang Kami turunkan dari langit, lalu tumbuhlah dengan suburnya karena air itu tanam-tanaman bumi, di antaranya ada yang dimakan manusia dan binatang ternak. Hingga apabila bumi itu telah sempurna keindahannya, dan memakai (pula) perhiasannya , dan pemilik-pemiliknya mengira bahwa mereka pasti menguasainya , tiba-tiba datanglah kepadanya azab Kami di waktu malam atau siang, lalu Kami jadikan (tanaman tanamannya) laksana tanam-tanaman yang sudah disabit, seakan-akan belum pernah tumbuh kemarin. Demikianlah Kami menjelaskan tanda-tanda kekuasaan (Kami) kepada orang-orang yang berfikir. |
| Melayu 24: | Sesungguhnya bandingan kehidupan dunia hanyalah seperti air hujan yang Kami turunkan dari langit, lalu (tumbuhlah dengan suburnya) tanaman-tanaman di bumi dari jenis-jenis yang dimakan oleh manusia dan binatang bercampur-aduk dan berpaut-pautan (pokok-pokok dan pohonnya) dengan sebab air itu hingga apabila bumi itu lengkap sempurna dengan keindahannya dan berhias (dengan bunga-bungaan yang berwarna-warni) dan penduduknya pun menyangka bahawa mereka dapat berbagai-bagai tanaman serta menguasainya (mengambil hasilnya) datanglah perintah Kami menimpakannya dengan bencana pada waktu malam atau pada siang hari lalu Kami jadikan ia hancur-lebur, seolah-olah ia tidak ada sebelum itu. Demikianlah Kami menjelaskan ayat-ayat keterangan Kami satu persatu bagi kaum yang mahu berfikir (dan mengambil iktibar daripadanya). |
| German 24: | Das Gleichnis des irdischen Lebens ist nur wie das Wasser, das Wir aus den Wolken herabsenden; damit vermischen sich dann die Gewächse der Erde, wovon Mensch und Vieh sich nähren, bis zu ihr - wenn die Erde ihren Prunk angelegt und sich schön geschmückt hat und ihre Bewohner glauben, sie hätten Macht über sie - Unser Befehl in der Nacht oder am Tage kommt und Wir sie zu einem niedergemähten Acker machen, als wäre sie nicht am Tage zuvor gediehen. Also machen Wir die Zeichen für die Leute klar, die nachdenken. |
| Russian 24: | Мирская жизнь подобна воде, которую Мы ниспосылаем с неба и благодаря которой (или с которой) смешиваются земные растения, идущие в пищу людям и животным. Когда же земля покрывается убранством и приукрашается, а ее жители полагают, что они властны над ней, Наше повеление постигает ее ночью или днем. Мы превращаем ее в жнивье, словно еще вчера она не изобиловала. Так Мы разъясняем знамения для людей размышляющих. |
| Bosnian 24: | Život na ovome svijetu je sličan bilju zemaljskom na koje Mi spustimo s neba kišu s kojim se ona izmiješa, kojim se onda hrane ljudi i stoka. Pa kad se Zemlja ukrasi svojim ruhom i okiti i kad stanovnici njezini pomisle da su oni toga gospodari, dođe zapovijed Naša, noću ili danju, i Mi to pokosimo, kao da prije ničeg nije ni bilo. Eto, tako Mi potanko izlažemo dokaze narodu koji hoće da razmisli. |
| Urdu 24: | دنیا کی زندگی کی مثال مینہ کی سی ہے کہ اسے ہم نے آسمان سے اتارا پھراس کے ساتھ سبزہ مل کر نکلا جسے آدمی اور جانور کھاتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب زمین سبزے سے خوبصورت اور آراستہ ہو گئی اورزمین والوں نے خیال کیا کہ وہ اس پر بالکل قابض ہو چکے ہیں تو اس پر ہماری طرف سے دن یا رات میں کوئی حادثہ آ پڑا سو ہم نے اسے ایسا صاف کر دیا کہ گویا کل وہا ں کچھ بھی نہ تھا اس طرح ہم نشانیوں کو کھول کر بیان کرتے ہیں اور لوگو ں کے سامنے جو غور کرتے ہیں |
| 25 | وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَىٰ دَارِ السَّلَامِ وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ |
| Transliteration 25: | WaAllahu yadAAoo ila dari alssalami wayahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin |
| Yusuf Ali 25: | But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight. |
| Shakir 25: | And Allah invites to the abode of peace and guides whom He pleases into the right path. |
| Pickthal 25: | And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and leadeth whom He will to a straight path. |
| Mohsin Khan: 25: | Allah calls to the Home of Peace (i.e. Paradise, by accepting Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds and abstaining from polytheism and evil deeds) and guides whom He wills to the Straight Path. |
| French 25: | Allah appelle à la demeure de la paix et guide qui Il veut vers un droit chemin. |
| Spanish 25: | Alá invita a la Morada de la Paz y dirige a quien Él quiere a una vía recta. |
| Indonesian 25: | Allah menyeru (manusia) ke Darussalam (surga), dan menunjuki orang yang dikehendaki-Nya kepada jalan yang lurus (Islam). |
| Melayu 25: | (Itulah dia kesudahan kehidupan dunia) dan sebaliknya Allah menyeru manusia ke tempat kediaman yang selamat sentosa dan Dia sentiasa memberi petunjuk hidayatNya kepada sesiapa yang dikehendakiNya (menurut undang-undang peraturanNya) ke jalan yang betul lurus (yang selamat itu). |
| German 25: | Und Allah lädt ein zum Haus des Friedens und leitet, wen Er will, zum geraden Weg. |
| Russian 25: | Аллах призывает к Обители мира и благополучия и наставляет на прямой путь тех, кого пожелает. |
| Bosnian 25: | Allah poziva u Kuću mira i ukazuje na Pravi put onome kome On hoće. |
| Urdu 25: | اور الله سلامتی کے گھر کی طرف بلاتا ہے اور جسے چاہے سیدھا راستہ دکھاتا ہے |
| 26 | ۞ لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَىٰ وَزِيَادَةٌ ۖ وَلَا يَرْهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمْ قَتَرٌ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Transliteration 26: | Lillatheena ahsanoo alhusna waziyadatun wala yarhaqu wujoohahum qatarun wala thillatun olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona |
| Yusuf Ali 26: | To those who do right is a goodly (reward)- Yea, more (than in measure)! No darkness nor shame shall cover their faces! they are companions of the garden; they will abide therein (for aye)! |
| Shakir 26: | For those who do good is good (reward) and more (than this); and blackness or ignominy shall not cover their faces; these are the dwellers of the garden; in it they shall abide. |
| Pickthal 26: | For those who do good is the best (reward) and more (thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein. |
| Mohsin Khan: 26: | For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and even more (i.e. having the honour of glancing at the Countenance of Allah جل جلاله). Neither darkness nor dust nor any humiliating disgrace shall cover their faces. They are the dwellers of Paradise, they will abide therein forever. |
| French 26: | A ceux qui agissent en bien est réservée la meilleure (récompense) et même davantage. Nulle fumée noircissante, nul avilissement ne couvriront leurs visages. Ceux-là sont les gens du Paradis, où ils demeureront éternellement. |
| Spanish 26: | Para quienes obren bien, lo mejor y más. Ni el polvo ni la humillación cubrirán sus rostros. Ésos morarán en el Jardín eternamente. |
| Indonesian 26: | Bagi orang-orang yang berbuat baik, ada pahala yang terbaik (surga) dan tambahannya . Dan muka mereka tidak ditutupi debu hitam dan tidak (pula) kehinaan . Mereka itulah penghuni surga, mereka kekal di dalamnya. |
| Melayu 26: | Untuk orang-orang yang berusaha menjadikan amalnya baik dikurniakan segala kebaikan serta satu tambahan yang mulia dan air muka mereka pula (berseri-seri) tidak diliputi oleh sebarang kesedihan dan kehinaan. Mereka itulah ahli Syurga, mereka kekal di dalamnya selama-lamanya. |
| German 26: | Denen, die Gutes tun, soll das Beste zuteil sein und noch mehr. Weder Betrübnis noch Schmach soll ihre Gesichter bedecken. Sie sind die Bewohner des Paradieses; darin werden sie auf ewig verweilen. |
| Russian 26: | Тем, которые творили добро, уготовано Наилучшее (Рай) и добавка (возможность взглянуть на Лик Аллаха). Не будет на их лицах ни праха, ни унижения. Они – обитатели Рая, в котором они пребудут вечно. |
| Bosnian 26: | One koji čine dobra djela čeka nagrada, i više od toga! Lica njihova neće tama i sjeta prekrivati; oni će stanovnici Dženneta biti, u njemu će vječno boraviti. |
| Urdu 26: | جنہوں نے بھلائی کی ان کے لئے بھلائی ہے اور زیادتی بھی اور ان کے منہ پر سیاہی اور رسوائی نہیں چڑھے گی وہ بہشتی ہیں وہ اسی میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے |
| 27 | وَالَّذِينَ كَسَبُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ جَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍ ۖ كَأَنَّمَا أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مُظْلِمًا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ |
| Transliteration 27: | Waallatheena kasaboo alssayyiati jazao sayyiatin bimithliha watarhaquhum thillatun ma lahum mina Allahi min AAasimin kaannama oghshiyat wujoohuhum qitaAAan mina allayli muthliman olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona |
| Yusuf Ali 27: | But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil: ignominy will cover their (faces): No defender will they have from (the wrath of) Allah. Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night: they are companions of the Fire: they will abide therein (for aye)! |
| Shakir 27: | And (as for) those who have earned evil, the punishment of an evil is the like of it, and abasement shall come upon them-- they shall have none to protect them from Allah-- as if their faces had been covered with slices of the dense darkness of night; these are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide. |
| Pickthal 27: | And those who earn ill-deeds, (for them) requital of each ill-deed by the like thereof; and ignominy overtaketh them - They have no protector from Allah - as if their faces had been covered with a cloak of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein. |
| Mohsin Khan: 27: | And those who have earned evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is the like thereof, and humiliating disgrace will cover them (their faces). No defender will they have from Allah. Their faces will be covered as it were with pieces from the darkness of night. They are the dwellers of the Fire, they will abide therein forever. |
| French 27: | Et ceux qui ont commis de mauvaises actions, la rétribution d'une mauvaise action sera l'équivalent. Un avilissement les couvrira, - pas de protection pour eux contre Allah -, comme si leurs visages se couvraient de lambeaux de ténèbres nocturnes. Ceux- là sont là les gens du Feu où ils demeureront éternellement. |
| Spanish 27: | A quienes obren mal, se les retribuirá con otro tanto. Les cubrirá la humillación -no tendrán quien les proteja de Alá-, como si jirones de tinieblas nocturnas cubrieran sus rostros. Ésos morarán en el Fuego eternamente. |
| Indonesian 27: | Dan orang-orang yang mengerjakan kejahatan (mendapat) balasan yang setimpal dan mereka ditutupi kehinaan. Tidak ada bagi mereka seorang pelindungpun dari (azab) Allah, seakan-akan muka mereka ditutupi dengan kepingan-kepingan malam yang gelap gulita. Mereka itulah penghuni neraka; mereka kekal di dalamnya. |
| Melayu 27: | Dan untuk orang-orang yang melakukan kejahatan (syirik dan maksiat), balasan tiap-tiap satu kejahatan mereka ialah kejahatan yang sebanding dengannya serta akan ditimpakan kehinaan; tiadalah bagi mereka pelindung dari (seksa) Allah; muka mereka (hitam legam) seolah-olahnya ditutup dengan beberapa bahagian (yang gelap-gelita) dari malam yang gelap-gelita. Mereka itulah ahli Neraka, mereka kekal di dalamnya. |
| German 27: | Für diejenigen aber, die böse Taten begangen haben, ist eine Strafe in gleichem Ausmaße (wie dem der bösen Taten) bereitet. Schmach wird sie bedecken; keinen Schutz werden sie vor Allah haben, (und es soll so sein,) als ob ihre Gesichter mit Fetzen einer finsteren Nacht bedeckt wären. Sie sind die Bewohner des Feuers; darin werden sie auf ewig bleiben. |
| Russian 27: | А воздаянием тех, кто приобрел зло, будет равноценное зло. Их постигнет унижение, и никто не защитит их от Аллаха. Их лица словно покроются клочьями ночного мрака. Они – обитатели Огня, в котором они пребудут вечно. |
| Bosnian 27: | A one koji čine nevaljala djela čeka kazna srazmjerna onom što su počinili; njih će potištenost prekrivati, niko ih od Allaha neće zaštititi, lica će im biti tamna kao da su se na njih spustili dijelovi mrkle noći: stanovnici vatre će oni biti, i u njoj će vječno boraviti! |
| Urdu 27: | اور جنہوں نے برے کام کئے تو برائی کا بدلہ ویسا ہی ہوگا کہ ان پر ذلت چھائے گی اور انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا گویا کہ ان کے مونہوں پر اندھیری رات کے ٹکڑے اوڑدئے گئے ہیں یہی دوزخی ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے |
| 28 | وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا مَكَانَكُمْ أَنتُمْ وَشُرَكَاؤُكُمْ ۚ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَاؤُهُم مَّا كُنتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ |
| Transliteration 28: | Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma naqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo makanakum antum washurakaokum fazayyalna baynahum waqala shurakaohum ma kuntum iyyana taAAbudoona |
| Yusuf Ali 28: | One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped! |
| Shakir 28: | And on the day when We will gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated others (with Allah): Keep where you are, you and your associates; then We shall separate them widely one from another and their associates would say: It was not us that you served: |
| Pickthal 28: | On the day when We gather them all together, then We say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Us): Stand back, ye and your (pretended) partners (of Allah)! And We separate them, the one from the other, and their (pretended) partners say: It was not us ye worshipped. |
| Mohsin Khan: 28: | And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who did set partners in worship with Us: "Stop at your place! You and your partners (whom you had worshipped in the worldly life)." then We shall separate them, and their (Allah's so-called) partners shall say: "It was not us that you used to worship." |
| French 28: | (Et rappelle-toi) le jour où Nous les rassemblerons tous. Puis, Nous dirons à ceux qui ont donné [à Allah] des associés: ‹A votre place, vous et vos associés.› Nous les séparerons les uns des autres et leurs associés diront: ‹Ce n'est pas nous que vous adoriez›. |
| Spanish 28: | El día que les congreguemos a todos, diremos a los asociadores: "¡Quedaos donde estáis, vosotros y vuestros asociados!" Les separaremos a unos de otros y sus asocidos dirán: "¡No era a nosotros a quienes servíais! |

Lalu Kami pisahkan mereka dan berkatalah sekutu-sekutu mereka: "Kamu sekali-kali tidak pernah menyembah kami. |
| Melayu 28: | Dan (ingatlah) masa Kami himpunkan mereka semua (pada hari kiamat), kemudian Kami berfirman kepada orang-orang musyrik: Tunggulah di tempat kamu semua, kamu dan makhluk-makhluk yang kamu jadikan sekutu; sesudah itu kami putuskan perhubungan baik di antara mereka dan berkatalah makhluk-makhluk yang mereka sembah itu (sebagai berlepas diri): Bukanlah kami yang kamu puja dan taat (sebenarnya kamu hanya memuja dan mentaati hawa nafsu kamu sendiri)! |
| German 28: | "Und (gedenke) des Tages, da Wir sie versammeln werden allzumal; dann werden Wir zu denen, die Götzen anbeteten, sprechen: ""An euren Platz, ihr und eure Teilhaber!"" Dann scheiden Wir sie voneinander, und ihre Teilhaber werden sagen: ""Nicht uns habt ihr angebetet. |
| Russian 28: | В тот день Мы соберем их вместе, а потом скажем многобожникам: «Оставайтесь на своих местах вместе со своими сотоварищами». Потом Мы разделим их, и сотоварищи скажут им: «Вы вовсе не поклонялись нам. |

| 29 | فَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِن كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ |
| Transliteration 29: | Fakafa biAllahi shaheedan baynana wabaynakum in kunna AAan AAibadatikum laghafileena |
| Yusuf Ali 29: | "Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!" |
| Shakir 29: | Therefore Allah is sufficient as a witness between us and you that we were quite unaware of your serving (us). |
| Pickthal 29: | Allah sufficeth as a witness between us and you, that we were unaware of your worship. |
| Mohsin Khan: 29: | "So sufficient is Allah as a witness between us and you that we indeed knew nothing of your worship of us." |
| French 29: | Allah suffit comme témoin entre nous et vous. En vérité, nous étions indifférents à votre adoration›. |

| German 29: | ""Allah genügt als Zeuge gegen uns und euch. Wir haben wahrhaftig nichts von eurer Anbetung gewußt."" |
| Russian 29: | Довольно того, что Аллах является Свидетелем между нами и вами. Мы не ведали о вашем поклонении». |
| Bosnian 29: | Allah je dovoljan svjedok i nama i vama, mi doista nismo znali da ste vi nama robovali." |
| Urdu 29: | سو اللہ ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہ کافی ہے کہ ہمیں تمہاری عبادت کی خبر ہی نہ تھی |
| 30 | هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُو كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا أَسْلَفَتْ ۚ وَرُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
| Transliteration 30: | Hunalika tabloo kullu nafsin ma aslafat waruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumu alhaqqi wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 30: | There will every soul prove (the fruits of) the deeds it sent before: they will be brought back to Allah their rightful Lord, and their invented falsehoods will leave them in the lurch. |
| Shakir 30: | There shall every soul become acquainted with what it sent before, and they shall be brought back to Allah, their true Patron, and what they devised shall escape from them. |
| Pickthal 30: | There doth every soul experience that which it did aforetime, and they are returned unto Allah, their rightful Lord, and that which they used to invent hath failed them. |
| Mohsin Khan: 30: | There! Every person will know (exactly) what he had earned before and they will be brought back to Allah, their rightful Maula (Lord), and their invented false deities will vanish from them. |
| French 30: | Là, chaque âme éprouvera (les conséquences de) ce qu'elle a précédemment accompli. Et ils seront ramenés vers Allah leur vrai Maître; et leurs inventions (idoles) s'éloigneront d'eux. |
| Spanish 30: | Allí, cada uno experimentará de nuevo lo que hizo en vida. Serán devueltos a Alá, su verdadero Dueño, y se esfumarán sus invenciones. |
| Indonesian 30: | Di tempat itu (padang Mahsyar), tiap-tiap diri merasakan pembalasan dari apa yang telah dikerjakannya dahulu dan mereka dikembalikan kepada Allah Pelindung mereka yang sebenarnya dan lenyaplah dari mereka apa yang mereka ada-adakan. |
| Melayu 30: | Pada masa itu tiap-tiap diri dapatlah mengetahui (dan merasai) akan apa yang telah dikerjakan dan mereka dikembalikan kepada Allah Tuhan mereka yang sebenar-benarnya (yang akan membalas dengan adilnya) dan (dengan itu) hilang lenyaplah dari mereka apa yang mereka ada-adakan. |
| German 30: | "Dort erfährt jede Seele, was sie (an Taten) vorausgeschickt hat. Und sie werden zu Allah, ihrem wahren Herrn, zurückgebracht, und das, was sie zu erdichten pflegten, wird ihnen entschwunden sein. |
| Russian 30: | Там каждый человек испытает то, что он совершил прежде. Они будут возвращены к Аллаху, их Истинному Покровителю, и скроется от них то, что они измышляли. |
| Bosnian 30: | Tu će svako saznati ono što je prije uradio - biće vraćeni Allahu, svome istinskom Gospodaru, a neće im biti onih koje su izmišljali. |
| Urdu 30: | اس جگہ ہر شخص اپنے پہلے کئے ہوئے کاموں کو جانچ لے گا اور یہ لوگ اللہ کی طرف لوٹائے جائینگے جو ان کا حقیقی مالک ہے اور جو جھوٹ وہ باندھا کرتے تھے ان سے جاتا رہے گا |
| 31 | قُلْ مَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَمَّن يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَمَن يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَمَن يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ ۚ فَقُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
| Transliteration 31: | Qul man yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi amman yamliku alssamAAa waalabsara waman yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi waman yudabbiru alamra fasayaqooloona Allahu faqul afala tattaqoona |
| Yusuf Ali 31: | Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "(Allah)". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?" |
| Shakir 31: | Say: Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or Who controls the hearing and the sight? And Who brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living? And Who regulates the affairs? Then they will say: Allah. Say then: Will you not then guard (against evil)? |
| Pickthal 31: | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)? |
| Mohsin Khan: 31: | Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then be afraid of Allah's punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allah)?" |
| French 31: | Dis: ‹Qui vous attribue de la nourriture du ciel et de la terre? Qui détient l'ouïe et la vue, et qui fait sortir le vivant du mort et fait sortir le mort du vivant, et qui administre tout?› Ils diront: ‹Allah›. Dis alors: ‹Ne le craignez-vous donc pas? ›. |
| Spanish 31: | Di: "¿Quién os procura el sustento del cielo y de la tierra? ¿Quién dispone del oído y de la vista? ¿Quién saca al vivo del muerto y al muerto del vivo? ¿Quién lo dispone todo? Dirán: "¡Alá!" Di, pues: "¿Y no vais a temerle?" |
| Indonesian 31: | Katakanlah: "Siapakah yang memberi rezki kepadamu dari langit dan bumi, atau siapakah yang kuasa (menciptakan) pendengaran dan penglihatan, dan siapakah yang mengeluarkan yang hidup dari yang mati dan mengeluarkan yang mati dari yang hidup dan siapakah yang mengatur segala urusan?" Maka mereka akan menjawab: "Allah". Maka katakanlah: "Mengapa kamu tidak bertakwa (kepada-Nya)?" |
| Melayu 31: | Bertanyalah kepada mereka (yang musyrik itu): Siapakah Yang memberi rezeki kepada kamu dari langit dan bumi? Atau siapakah yang menguasai pendengaran dan penglihatan? Dan siapakah yang mengeluarkan makhluk yang hidup dari benda yang mati dan mengeluarkan benda yang mati dari makhluk yang hidup? Dan siapakah pula yang mentadbirkan urusan sekalian alam? (Dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan itu) maka mereka (yang musyrik) tetap akan menjawab (mengakui) dengan berkata: Allah jualah yang menguasai segala-galanya! Oleh itu, katakanlah: (Jika kamu mengakui yang demikian), maka mengapa kamu tidak mahu bertakwa? |
| German 31: | "Sprich: ""Wer versorgt euch vom Himmel her und aus der Erde? Oder wer ist es, der Gewalt über die Ohren und die Augen hat? Und wer bringt das Lebendige aus dem Toten hervor und das Tote aus dem Lebendigen? Und wer sorgt für alle Dinge?"" Sie werden sagen: ""Allah"". So sprich: ""Wollt ihr Ihn denn nicht fürchten?"" |
| Russian 31: | Скажи: «Кто одаряет вас уделом с неба и земли? Кто властен над слухом и зрением? Кто мертвое превращает в живое, а живое превращает в мертвое? Кто управляет делами?» Они скажут: «Аллах». Скажи: «Неужели вы не устрашитесь?» |

| Urdu 31: | کہو تمہیں آسمان اور زمین سے کون روزی دیتا ہے یا کانوں اور آنکھوں کا کون مالک ہے اور زندہ کو مردہ سے کون نکلتا ہے اور مردہ کو زندہ سے کون نکلتا ہے اور سب کاموں کا کون انتظام کرتا ہے سو کہیں گے کہ اللہ تو کہہ دو کہ پھر (اللہ)سے کیوں نہیں ڈرتے |
| 32 | فَذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ الْحَقِّ إِلَّا الضَّلَالُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ |
| Transliteration 32: | Fathalikumu Allahu rabbukumu alhaqqu famatha baAAda alhaqqi illa alddalalu faanna tusrafoona |
| Yusuf Ali 32: | Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away? |
| Shakir 32: | This then is Allah, your true Lord; and what is there after the truth but error; how are you then turned back? |
| Pickthal 32: | Such then is Allah, your rightful Lord. After the Truth what is there saving error? How then are ye turned away! |

| Transliteration 33: | Kathalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika AAala allatheena fasaqoo annahum la yuminoona |
| Yusuf Ali 33: | Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe. |
| Shakir 33: | Thus does the word of your Lord prove true against those who transgress that they do not believe. |
| Pickthal 33: | Thus is the Word of thy Lord justified concerning those who do wrong: that they believe not. |

| 34 | قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَائِكُم مَّن يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ |
| Transliteration 34: | Qul hal min shurakaikum man yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu quli Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu faanna tufakoona |
| Yusuf Ali 34: | Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?" |
| Shakir 34: | Say: Is there any one among your associates who can bring into existence the creation in the first instance, then reproduce it? Say: Allah brings the creation into existence, then He reproduces it; how are you then turned away? |
| Pickthal 34: | Say: Is there of your partners (whom ye ascribe unto Allah) one that produceth Creation and then reproduceth it? Say: Allah produceth Creation, then reproduceth it. How then, are ye misled! |

| Transliteration 35: | Qul hal min shurakaikum man yahdee ila alhaqqi quli Allahu yahdee lilhaqqi afaman yahdee ila alhaqqi ahaqqu an yuttabaAAa amman la yahiddee illa an yuhda fama lakum kayfa tahkumoona |
| Yusuf Ali 35: | Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?" |
| Shakir 35: | Say: Is there any of your associates who guides to the truth? Say: Allah guides to the truth. Is He then Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who himself does not go aright unless he is guided? What then is the matter with you; how do you judge? |

| Indonesian 35: | Katakanlah: "Apakah di antara sekutu-sekutumu ada yang menunjuki kepada kebenaran?" Katakanlah: "Allah-lah yang menunjuki kepada kebenaran". Maka apakah orang-orang yang menunjuki kepada kebenaran itu lebih berhak diikuti ataukah orang yang tidak dapat memberi petunjuk kecuali (bila) diberi petunjuk? Mengapa kamu (berbuat demikian)? Bagaimanakah kamu mengambil keputusan? |

Maka apakah alasan sikap kamu itu? Bagaimana kamu sanggup mengambil keputusan (dengan perkara yang salah, yang tidak dapat diterima oleh akal)? |
| German 35: | ""Sprich: ""Ist unter euren Teilhabern etwa einer, der zur Wahrheit leitet?"" Sprich: ""Allah ist es, Der zur Wahrheit leitet. Ist nun Der, Der zur Wahrheit leitet, nicht der Gefolgschaft würdiger als der, der den Weg nicht zu finden vermag, es sei denn, er wird selbst geleitet? Was fehlt euch also? Wie urteilt ihr nur?"" |
| Russian 35: | Спроси: «Есть ли среди ваших сотоварищей такой, который указывает путь к истине?» Скажи: «Аллах указывает путь к истине. Кто более достоин того, чтобы за ним следовали: тот, кто сам указывает путь к истине, или же тот, кто не может найти верного пути, пока ему не укажут на него? Что с вами? Как вы судите?» |
| Bosnian 35: | Reci: "Može li ijedno vaše božanstvo uputiti na Pravi put?", i odgovori: "Samo Allah upućuje na Pravi put!" Pa da li je onda dostojniji da se poštiva onaj koji na Pravi put upućuje ili onaj koji ni sam nije na Pravome putu, osim ako ga drugi na Pravi put ne uputi? Šta vam je, kako rasuđujete?! |
| Urdu 35: | کہہ دو آیا تمہارے شریکوں میں کوئی ہے جو صحیح راہ بتلائے کہہ دو الله ہی صحیح راہ بتلاتا ہے تو جو اب صحیح راستہ بتلائے اسکی بات ماننی چاہیئے یا اس کی جو خود راہ نہ پائے مگر جب کوئی اوراسے راہ بتلائے سو تمہیں کیا ہوگیا کیا انصاف کرتے ہو |
| 36 | وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا ۚ إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 36: | Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illa thannan inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shayan inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yafAAaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 36: | But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do. |
| Shakir 36: | And most of them do not follow (anything) but conjecture; surely conjecture will not avail aught against the truth; surely Allah is cognizant of what they do. |
| Pickthal 36: | Most of them follow not but conjecture. Assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do. |
| Mohsin Khan: 36: | And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allah is All-Aware of what they do. |
| French 36: | Et la plupart d'entre eux ne suivent que conjecture. Mais, la conjecture ne sert à rien contre la vérité! Allah sait parfaitement ce qu'ils font. |
| Spanish 36: | Pero la mayoría no siguen sino conjeturas, y, ante la Verdad, las conjeturas no sirven de nada. Alá sabe bien lo que y hacen. |
| Indonesian 36: | Dan kebanyakan mereka tidak mengikuti kecuali persangkaan saja. Sesungguhnya persangkaan itu tidak sedikitpun berguna untuk mencapai kebenaran . Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui apa yang mereka kerjakan. |
| Melayu 36: | Dan kebanyakan mereka, tidak menurut melainkan sesuatu sangkaan sahaja, (padahal) sesungguhnya sangkaan itu tidak dapat memenuhi kehendak menentukan sesuatu dari kebenaran (iktiqad). Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui akan apa yang mereka lakukan. |
| German 36: | "Und die meisten von ihnen folgen bloß einer Vermutung; doch eine Vermutung nützt nichts gegenüber der Wahrheit. Siehe, Allah weiß recht wohl, was sie tun. |
| Russian 36: | Большинство их следует своим предположениям, но ведь предположения никак не могут заменить истину. Воистину, Аллаху известно о том, что они совершают. |
| Bosnian 36: | Većina njih slijedi samo pretpostavke; ali pretpostavke nisu nimalo od koristi Istini; Allah uistinu dobro zna ono što oni rade. |
| Urdu 36: | اور وہ اکثر اٹکل پر چلتے ہیں بےشک حق بات کے سمجھنے میں اٹکل ذرا بھی کام نہیں دیتی بے شک الله جانتا ہے جو کچھ وہ کرتے ہیں |
| 37 | وَمَا كَانَ هَـٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ أَن يُفْتَرَىٰ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِن تَصْدِيقَ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَتَفْصِيلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ مِن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Transliteration 37: | Wama kana hatha alquranu an yuftara min dooni Allahi walakin tasdeeqa allathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi la rayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameena |
| Yusuf Ali 37: | This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah. on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds. |
| Shakir 37: | And this Quran is not such as could be forged by those besides Allah, but it is a verification of that which is before it and a clear explanation of the book, there is no doubt in it, from the Lord of the worlds. |
| Pickthal 37: | And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be invented in despite of Allah; but it is a confirmation of that which was before it and an exposition of that which is decreed for mankind - Therein is no doubt - from the Lord of the Worlds. |
| Mohsin Khan: 37: | And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists). |

| Indonesian 37: | Tidaklah mungkin Al Qur'an ini dibuat oleh selain Allah; akan tetapi (Al Qur'an itu) membenarkan kitab-kitab yang sebelumnya dan menjelaskan hukum-hukum yang telah ditetapkannya , tidak ada keraguan di dalamnya, (diturunkan) dari Tuhan semesta alam. |
| Melayu 37: | Dan bukanlah Al-Quran ini sesuatu yang boleh diada-adakan oleh yang lain dari Allah; tetapi Al-Quran itu diturunkan oleh Allah untuk membenarkan Kitab-kitab yang diturunkan sebelumnya dan untuk menjelaskan satu persatu hukum-hukum Syarak yang diwajibkan (atas kamu); tidak ada sebarang syak dan ragu-ragu pada Al-Quran itu tentang datangnya dari Allah, Tuhan yang mencipta dan mentadbirkan sekalian alam. |
| German 37: | Und dieser Qur'an hätte nicht ersonnen werden können, außer durch Allah. Vielmehr ist er eine Bestätigung dessen, was ihm vorausging, und eine ausführliche Erklärung der Schrift - darüber herrscht kein Zweifel - vom Herrn der Welten. |
| Russian 37: | Этот Коран не может быть сочинением кого-либо, кроме Аллаха. Он является подтверждением того, что было до него, и разъяснением Писания от Господа миров, в котором нет сомнения. |

| 38 | أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Transliteration 38: | Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fatoo bisooratin mithlihi waodAAoo mani istataAAtum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Yusuf Ali 38: | Or do they say, "He forged it"? say: "Bring then a Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can besides Allah, if it be ye speak the truth!" |
| Shakir 38: | Or do they say: He has forged it? Say: Then bring a chapter like this and invite whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful. |
| Pickthal 38: | Or say they: He hath invented it? Say: Then bring a surah like unto it, and call (for help) on all ye can besides Allah, if ye are truthful. |
| Mohsin Khan: 38: | Or do they say: "He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Surah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful!" |
| French 38: | Ou bien ils disent: ‹Il (Muhammad) l'a inventé?› Dis: ‹Composez donc une Sourate semblable à ceci, et appelez à votre aide n'importe qui vous pourrez, en dehors Allah, si vous êtes véridiques›. |
| Spanish 38: | O dicen: "Él lo ha inventado". Di: "Si es verdad lo que decís, ¡traed una sura semejante y llamad a quien podáis, en lugar de llamar a Alá!" |
| Indonesian 38: | Atau (patutkah) mereka mengatakan: "Muhammad membuat-buatnya." Katakanlah: "(Kalau benar yang kamu katakan itu), maka cobalah datangkan sebuah surat seumpamanya dan panggillah siapa-siapa yang dapat kamu panggil (untuk membuatnya) selain Allah, jika kamu orang-orang yang benar." |
| Melayu 38: | (Orang-orang kafir tidak mengakui hakikat yang demikian itu) bahkan mereka mengatakan: Dialah (Muhammad) yang mengada-adakan Al-Quran menurut rekaannya. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Kalau demikian, datangkanlah satu surah yang sebanding dengan Al-Quran itu dan panggilah siapa sahaja yang kamu dapat memanggilnya, yang lain dari Allah (untuk membantu kamu), jika betul kamu orang-orang yang benar!. |
| German 38: | "Oder wollen sie etwa sagen: ""Er hat ihn erdichtet""? Sprich: ""Bringt denn eine Sura gleicher Art hervor und ruft, wen ihr nur könnt, außer Allah, wenn ihr wahrhaftig seid."" |
| Russian 38: | Или же они говорят: «Он выдумал его». Скажи: «Сочините хотя бы одну суру, подобную этим, и призовите, кого сможете, кроме Аллаха, если вы говорите правду». |
| Bosnian 38: | A oni govore: "On ga izmišlja!" Reci: "Pa, dajte vi jednu suru kao što je njemu objavljena, i koga god hoćete, od onih u koje mimo Allaha vjerujete, u pomoć pozovite, ako istinu govorite." |
| Urdu 38: | کیا یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں اس نے اسے خود بنایا ہے کہہ دو تم ایک ہی ایسی سورت لے آؤ اور الله کے سوا جسے بلا سکو بلا لو اگر تم سچے ہو |
| 39 | بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُوا بِعِلْمِهِ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِهِمْ تَأْوِيلُهُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Transliteration 39: | Bal kaththaboo bima lam yuheetoo biAAilmihi walamma yatihim taweeluhu kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena |
| Yusuf Ali 39: | Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong! |
| Shakir 39: | Nay, they reject that of which they have no comprehensive knowledge, and the final sequel of it has not yet come to them; even thus did those before them reject (the truth); see then what was the end of the unjust. |
| Pickthal 39: | Nay, but they denied that, the knowledge whereof they could not compass, and whereof the interpretation (in events) hath not yet come unto them. Even so did those before them deny. Then see what was the consequence for the wrong-doers! |
| Mohsin Khan: 39: | Nay, they have belied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did belie. Then see what was the end of the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)! |
| French 39: | Bien au contraire: ils ont traité de mensonge ce qu'ils ne peuvent embrasser de leur savoir, et dont l'interprétation ne leur est pas encore parvenue. Ainsi ceux qui vivaient avant eux traitaient d'imposteurs (leurs messagers). Regarde comment a été la fin des injustes! |
| Spanish 39: | Al contrario, han desmentido lo que no abarcan en su ciencia y aquello cuya interpretación aún no han recibido. Así desmintieron sus antecesores. ¡Y mira cómo terminaron los impíos! |
| Indonesian 39: | Bahkan yang sebenarnya, mereka mendustakan apa yang mereka belum mengetahuinya dengan sempurna padahal belum datang kepada mereka penjelasannya. Demikianlah orang-orang yang sebelum mereka telah mendustakan (rasul). Maka perhatikanlah bagaimana akibat orang-orang yang zalim itu. |
| Melayu 39: | Bahkan mereka pula terburu-buru mendustakan Al-Quran yang fahaman mereka tidak dapat meliputi segala isi pengetahuannya dan belum datang kepada mereka kenyataan yang menjelaskan kebenarannya. Demikianlah juga orang-orang sebelum mereka mendustakan (Kitab-kitab Allah yang diturunkan kepada mereka). Maka lihatlah bagaimana akibat orang-orang yang zalim itu (berakhir dengan berbagai bencana yang membinasakan mereka). |
| German 39: | "Nein; aber sie haben das geleugnet, was sie an Wissen nicht umfassen konnten, und ebensowenig zugänglich war ihnen seine Deutung. Ebenso leugneten auch jene, die vor ihnen waren. Doch siehe, wie das Ende der Ungerechten war! |
| Russian 39: | Так нет же, они объявляют ложью знание, которое не способны постичь и толкование которого еще не свершилось. Таким же образом его отвергали их предшественники. Погляди же, каким был конец беззаконников! |
| Bosnian 39: | Oni poriču prije nego što temeljito saznaju šta ima u njemu, a još im nije došlo ni tumačenje njegovo; tako su isto oni prije njih poricali, pa pogledaj kako su nasilnici završili! |
| Urdu 39: | بلکہ انہوں نے اس چیز کو جھٹلایا جسے وہ سمجھ نہ سکے اوربھی اس کی حقیقت ان پر کھلی نہیں اسی طرح جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے انہوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا سو دیکھ لو کہ ظالموں کاانجام کیسا ہوا |
| 40 | وَمِنْهُم مَّن يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ وَمِنْهُم مَّن لَّا يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ ۚ وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُفْسِدِينَ |
| Transliteration 40: | Waminhum man yuminu bihi waminhum man la yuminu bihi warabbuka aAAlamu bialmufsideena |
| Yusuf Ali 40: | Of them there are some who believe therein, and some who do not: and thy Lord knoweth best those who are out for mischief. |
| Shakir 40: | And of them is he who believes in it, and of them is he who does not believe in it, and your Lord best knows the mischief-makers. |
| Pickthal 40: | And of them is he who believeth therein, and of them is he who believeth not therein, and thy Lord is Best Aware of the corrupters. |
| Mohsin Khan: 40: | And of them there are some who believe therein; and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is All-Aware of the Mufsidun (evil-doers, liars). |
| French 40: | Certains d'entre eux y croient, et d'autres n'y croient pas. Et ton Seigneur connaît le mieux les fauteurs de désordre. |
| Spanish 40: | De ellos hay quien cree en él y quien no, pero tu Señor conoce mejor que nadie a los corruptores. |
| Indonesian 40: | Di antara mereka ada orang-orang yang beriman kepada Al Qur'an, dan di antaranya ada (pula) orang-orang yang tidak beriman kepadanya. Tuhanmu lebih mengetahui tentang orang-orang yang berbuat kerusakan. |
| Melayu 40: | Dan di antara mereka ada yang beriman kepada Al-Quran dan ada di antaranya yang tidak beriman langsung kepadanya dan (ingatlah), Tuhanmu lebih mengetahui akan orang-orang yang melakukan kerosakan. |
| German 40: | Unter ihnen sind solche, die daran glauben, und andere, die nicht daran glauben, und dein Herr kennt jene wohl, die Verderben stiften. |
| Russian 40: | Среди них есть такие, которые уверуют в него, и такие, которые не уверуют в него. Твой Господь лучше осведомлен о распространяющих нечестие. |
| Bosnian 40: | Ima ih koji u nj vjeruju, a ima ih koji ne vjeruju u nj. A Gospodar tvoj dobro poznaje smutljivce. |
| Urdu 40: | اور ان میں سے بعض ایسے ہیں کہ اس پر ایمان لے آتے ہیں اور بعض ایسے ہیں کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے اور تمہارا رب شریروں سے خوب واقف ہے |
| 41 | وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّي عَمَلِي وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ ۖ أَنتُم بَرِيئُونَ مِمَّا أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 41: | Wain kaththabooka faqul lee AAamalee walakum AAamalukum antum bareeoona mimma aAAmalu waana bareeon mimma taAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 41: | If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!" |
| Shakir 41: | And if they call you a liar, say: My work is for me and your work for you; you are clear of what I do and I am clear of what you do. |
| Pickthal 41: | And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. |
| Mohsin Khan: 41: | And if they belie you, say: "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!" |
| French 41: | Et s'ils te traitent de menteur, dis alors: ‹A moi mon oeuvre, et à vous la vòtre. Vous êtes irresponsables de ce que je fais et je suis irresponsable de ce que vous faites›. |
| Spanish 41: | Si te desmienten, di: "Yo respondo de mis actos y vosotros de los vuestros. Vosotros no sois responsables de lo que yo haga y yo no soy responsable de lo que vosotros hagáis". |
| Indonesian 41: | Jika mereka mendustakan kamu, maka katakanlah: "Bagiku pekerjaanku dan bagimu pekerjaanmu. Kamu berlepas diri terhadap apa yang aku kerjakan dan akupun berlepas diri terhadap apa yang kamu kerjakan". |
| Melayu 41: | Dan jika mereka terus-menerus mendustakanmu (wahai Muhammad), maka katakanlah: Bagiku amalku dan bagi kamu pula amal kamu. Kamu tidak bertanggungjawab akan apa yang aku kerjakan dan aku juga tidak bertanggungjawab akan apa yang kamu kerjakan. |
| German 41: | "Und wenn sie dich der Lüge bezichtigen, so sprich: ""Für mich ist mein Werk und für euch ist euer Werk. Ihr seid nicht verantwortlich für das, was ich tue, und ich bin nicht verantwortlich für das, was ihr tut."" |
| Russian 41: | Если тебя сочтут лжецом, то скажи: «Мне достанутся мои деяния, а вам – ваши деяния. Вы не причастны к тому, что я совершаю, а я не причастен к тому, что совершаете вы». |
| Bosnian 41: | I ako te oni budu u laž utjerivali, ti reci: "Meni - moja, a vama - vaša djela; vi nećete odgovarati za ono što ja radim, a ja neću odgovarati za ono što vi radite." |
| Urdu 41: | اوراگر تجھے جھٹلائیں تو کہہ دے میرے لیے میرا کام اور تمہارے لیے تمہارا کام تم میرے کام کے جواب دہ نہیں اور میں تمہارے کام کا جواب دہ نہیں ہوں |
| 42 | وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَعْقِلُونَ |
| Transliteration 42: | Waminhum man yastamiAAoona ilayka afaanta tusmiAAu alssumma walaw kanoo la yaAAqiloona |
| Yusuf Ali 42: | Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear,- even though they are without understanding? |
| Shakir 42: | And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? |
| Pickthal 42: | And of them are some who listen unto thee. But canst thou make the deaf to hear even though they apprehend not? |
| Mohsin Khan: 42: | And among them are some who listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear - even though they apprehend not? |
| French 42: | Et il en est parmi eux qui te prêtent l'oreille. Est-ce toi qui fait entendre les sourds, même s'ils sont incapables de comprendre. |
| Spanish 42: | De ellos hay quienes te escuchan. Pero ¿puedes tú hacer que los sordos oigan, aun cuando no comprendan...? |
| Indonesian 42: | Dan di antara mereka ada orang yang mendengarkanmu . Apakah kamu dapat menjadikan orang-orang tuli itu mendengar walaupun mereka tidak mengerti. |
| Melayu 42: | Dan di antara mereka (yang ingkar) itu, ada yang datang mendengar ajaranmu (dengan tidak mendapat faedah sedikitpun sebagai orang pekak); maka engkau (wahai Muhammad) tidak berkuasa menjadikan orang-orang yang pekak itu mendengar, juga kalau mereka menjadi orang-orang yang tidak mahu memahami perkara yang didengarnya. |
| German 42: | "Und unter ihnen sind solche, die dir zuhören. Aber kannst du die Tauben hörend machen, obwohl sie nicht begreifen? |
| Russian 42: | Среди них есть и такие, которые выслушивают тебя. Разве ты можешь заставить слышать глухих, если они к тому же не разумеют? |
| Bosnian 42: | Ima ih koji dolaze da te slušaju. A možeš li ti učiniti da te čuju gluhi, koji ni pameti nemaju? |
| Urdu 42: | اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری طرف کان لگاتے ہیں کیا تم بہروں کو سنا سکتے ہو اگرچہ وہ نہ سمجھیں |
| 43 | وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يُبْصِرُونَ |
| Transliteration 43: | Waminhum man yanthuru ilayka afaanta tahdee alAAumya walaw kanoo la yubsiroona |
| Yusuf Ali 43: | And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind,- even though they will not see? |
| Shakir 43: | And there are those of them who look at you, but can you show the way to the blind though they will not see? |
| Pickthal 43: | And of them is he who looketh toward thee. But canst thou guide the blind even though they see not? |
| Mohsin Khan: 43: | And among them are some who look at you, but can you guide the blind - even though they see not? |

| German 43: | Und unter ihnen sind solche, die auf dich schauen. Aber kannst du den Blinden den Weg weisen, obwohl sie nicht sehen? |
| Russian 43: | Среди них есть и такие, которые смотрят на тебя. Разве ты можешь наставить на прямой путь слепых, если они к тому же не видят? |
| Bosnian 43: | A ima ih koji te posmatraju. A možeš li ti uputiti na Pravi put slijepe, koji ni razuma nemaju? |
| Urdu 43: | اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری طرف دیکھتے ہیں کیا تم اندھوں کو راہ دکھا دوگے اگر کچھ بھی نہ دیکھتے ہوں |
| 44 | إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا وَلَـٰكِنَّ النَّاسَ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 44: | Inna Allaha la yathlimu alnnasa shayan walakinna alnnasa anfusahum yathlimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 44: | Verily Allah will not deal unjustly with man in aught: It is man that wrongs his own soul. |
| Shakir 44: | Surely Allah does not do any injustice to men, but men are unjust to themselves. |
| Pickthal 44: | Lo! Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught; but mankind wrong themselves. |
| Mohsin Khan: 44: | Truly! Allah wrongs not mankind in aught; but mankind wrong themselves. |
| French 44: | En vérité, Allah n'est point injuste à l'égard des gens, mais ce sont les gens qui font du tord à eux-mêmes. |
| Spanish 44: | Alá no es nada injusto con los hombres, sino que son los hombres los injustos consigo mismos. |
| Indonesian 44: | Sesungguhnya Allah tidak berbuat zalim kepada manusia sedikitpun, akan tetapi manusia itulah yang berbuat zalim kepada diri mereka sendiri. |
| Melayu 44: | Sesungguhnya Allah tidak menganiaya manusia sedikitpun, akan tetapi manusia jualah yang menganiaya diri mereka sendiri. |
| German 44: | Wahrlich, Allah fügt den Menschen kein Unrecht zu; die Menschen aber begehen Unrecht gegen sich selbst. |
| Russian 44: | Воистину, Аллах ни в чем не проявляет несправедливости к людям, но люди сами поступают несправедливо по отношению к себе. |
| Bosnian 44: | Allah zaista neće nikakvu nepravdu ljudima učiniti, ljudi je sami sebi čine. |
| Urdu 44: | بے شک الله لوگوں پر ذرہ ظلم نہیں کرتا لیکن لوگ ہی اپنے آپ پر ظلم کرتے ہیں |
| 45 | وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ كَأَن لَّمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا سَاعَةً مِّنَ النَّهَارِ يَتَعَارَفُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِينَ |
| Transliteration 45: | Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lam yalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahari yataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena |
| Yusuf Ali 45: | One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance. |
| Shakir 45: | And on the day when He will gather them as though they had not stayed but an hour of the day, they will know each other. They will perish indeed who called the meeting with Allah to be a lie, and they are not followers of the right direction. |
| Pickthal 45: | And on the day when He shall gather them together, (when it will seem) as though they had tarried but an hour of the day, recognising one another, those will verily have perished who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided. |
| Mohsin Khan: 45: | And on the Day when He shall gather (resurrect) them together, (it will be) as if they had not stayed (in the life of this world and graves) but an hour of a day. They will recognise each other. Ruined indeed will be those who denied the Meeting with Allah, and were not guided. |
| French 45: | Et le jour où Il les rassemblera, ce sera comme s'ils n'étaient restés [dans leur tombeau] qu'une heure du jour et ils se reconnaîtront mutuellement. Perdants seront alors ceux qui auront traité de mensonge la rencontre d'Allah, et ils n'auront pas été bien guidés. |
| Spanish 45: | Y el día que les congregue, será como si no hubieran permanecido más de una hora del día. Se reconocerán. Perderán quienes hayan desmentido el encuentro de Alá. No fueron bien dirigidos. |
| Indonesian 45: | Dan (ingatlah) akan hari (yang di waktu itu) Allah mengumpulkan mereka, (mereka merasa di hari itu) seakan-akan mereka tidak pernah berdiam (di dunia) hanya sesaat saja di siang hari (di waktu itu) mereka saling berkenalan. Sesungguhnya rugilah orang-orang yang mendustakan pertemuan mereka dengan Allah dan mereka tidak mendapat petunjuk. |
| Melayu 45: | Dan (ingatlah) masa Tuhan himpunkan mereka (pada hari kiamat kelak), dengan keadaan mereka merasai seolah-olah mereka tidak tinggal di dunia melainkan sekadar satu saat sahaja dari siang hari. Mereka akan berkenal-kenalan sesama sendiri. Sesungguhnya rugilah orang-orang yang telah mendustakan hari menemui Allah untuk menerima balasan dan yang tidak mendapat petunjuk (ke jalan mencari untung semasa hidup di dunia). |
| German 45: | Und an dem Tage, an dem Er sie (vor Sich) versammelt, (kommt es ihnen so vor,) als hätten sie nur eine Stunde an einem Tage (auf Erden) verweilt. Sie werden einander erkennen. Verloren wahrlich haben jene, die die Begegnung mit Allah leugneten und nicht rechtgeleitet waren. |
| Russian 45: | В тот день Аллах соберет их, словно они пробыли на земле или в могилах всего лишь один дневной час, и они узнают друг друга. Воистину, убыток потерпят те, которые считали ложью встречу с Аллахом и не следовали прямым путем. |
| Bosnian 45: | A na Dan kada ih on sakupi učiniće im se da su boravili samo jedan čas u danu, i jedni druge će prepoznati. Oni koji su poricali da će pred Allaha stati i koji nisu Pravim putem išli biće izgubljeni. |
| Urdu 45: | اور جس دن انہیں جمع کرے گا گویا وہ نہیں رہے تھے مگر ایک گھڑی دن کی ایک دوسرے کو پہچانیں گے بے شک خسارے میں رہے جنہوں نے الله کی ملاقات کو جھٹلایا اور راہ پانے والے نہ ہوئے |
| 46 | وَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ شَهِيدٌ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 46: | Waimma nuriyannaka baAAda allathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka failayna marjiAAuhum thumma Allahu shaheedun AAala ma yafAAaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 46: | Whether We show thee (realised in thy life-time) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that),- in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do. |
| Shakir 46: | And if We show you something of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die, yet to Us is their return, and Allah is the bearer of witness to what they do. |
| Pickthal 46: | Whether We let thee (O Muhammad) behold something of that which We promise them or (whether We) cause thee to die, still unto Us is their return, and Allah, moreover, is Witness over what they do. |
| Mohsin Khan: 46: | Whether We show you (in your lifetime, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) some of what We promise them (the torment), or We cause you to die - still unto Us is their return, and moreover, Allah is Witness over what they used to do. |
| French 46: | Que Nous te fassions voir une partie de ce dont Nous les menaçons, ou que Nous te fassions mourir, (en tout cas), c'est vers Nous que sera leur retour. Allah est en outre, témoin de ce qu'ils font. |
| Spanish 46: | Lo mismo si te mostramos algo de aquello con que les amenazamos que si te llamamos, volverán a Nosotros. Luego, Alá será testigo de lo que hacían. |
| Indonesian 46: | Dan jika Kami perlihatkan kepadamu sebahagian dari (siksa) yang Kami ancamkan kepada mereka, (tentulah kamu akan melihatnya) atau (jika) Kami wafatkan kamu (sebelum itu), maka kepada Kami jualah mereka kembali , dan Allah menjadi saksi atas apa yang mereka kerjakan. |
| Melayu 46: | Dan jika Kami perlihatkan kepadamu (wahai Muhammad) akan sebahagian dari balasan azab yang Kami janjikan kepada mereka atau jika Kami wafatkan engkau sebelum itu, maka kepada Kamilah tempat kembali mereka; kemudian Allah yang memberi keterangan mengenai apa yang mereka lakukan. |
| German 46: | Und ob Wir dir einige Dinge zeigen, die Wir ihnen angedroht haben, oder (ob Wir) dich sterben lassen: zu Uns werden sie dann heimkehren; hernach ist Allah Zeuge all dessen, was sie tun. |
| Russian 46: | Мы покажем тебе часть того, что Мы обещали им, или же упокоим тебя, но они все равно вернутся к Нам. Кроме того, Аллах является Свидетелем того, что они совершают. |
| Bosnian 46: | Bilo da ti pokažemo dio onoga čime im prijetimo, bilo da ti dušu uzmemo, Nama će se oni vratiti, i tada će Allah biti svjedok za ono što su činili. |
| Urdu 46: | اور اگر ہم تمہیں ان وعدوں میں سے کوئی چیز دکھا دیں جو ہم نے ان سے کیے ہیں یاتمہیں وفات دیں پھر انہیں ہماری طرف لوٹنا ہے پھرالله شاہدہے ان کاموں پر جو کرتے ہیں |
| 47 | وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ رَسُولُهُمْ قُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 47: | Walikulli ommatin rasoolun faitha jaa rasooluhum qudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 47: | To every people (was sent) an apostle: when their apostle comes (before them), the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. |
| Shakir 47: | And every nation had a messenger; so when their messenger came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. |
| Pickthal 47: | And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. |
| Mohsin Khan: 47: | And for every Ummah (a community or a nation) there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. |
| French 47: | A chaque communauté un Messager. Et lorsque leur messager vint, tout se décida en équité entre eux et ils ne furent point lésés. |
| Spanish 47: | Cada comunidad tiene un enviado. Cuando venga su enviado, se decidirá entre ellos con equidad y no serán tratados injustamente. |
| Indonesian 47: | Tiap-tiap umat mempunyai rasul; maka apabila telah datang rasul mereka, diberikanlah keputusan antara mereka dengan adil dan mereka (sedikit pun) tidak dianiaya. |
| Melayu 47: | Dan bagi tiap-tiap satu umat ada seorang Rasul (yang diutuskan kepadanya); setelah datang Rasul masing-masing (menerangkan apa yang mesti diterangkan) maka hukuman pun dijalankan di antara mereka dengan adil dan mereka tetap tidak dianiaya. |
| German 47: | Und für jede Nation ist ein Gesandter (bestimmt). Wenn also ihr Gesandter kommt, so wird zwischen ihnen in Gerechtigkeit entschieden, und kein Unrecht widerfährt ihnen. |
| Russian 47: | У каждой общины есть посланник. Когда же приходил посланник, между ними все решалось по справедливости, и с ними не поступали несправедливо. |
| Bosnian 47: | Svaki narod je imao poslanika. I kad poslanik njihov dođe među njih, njima će biti pravedno presuđeno, nasilje im neće biti učinjeno. |
| Urdu 47: | اورہر امت کا یک رسول ہے پھر جب ان کے پاس ان کا رسول آیا تو ان کے درمیان انصاف سے فیصلہ کیا گیا اور ان پر ظلم نہیں کیا جاتا |
| 48 | وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Transliteration 48: | Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Yusuf Ali 48: | They say: "When will this promise come to pass,- if ye speak the truth?" |
| Shakir 48: | And they say: When will this threat come about, if you are truthful? |
| Pickthal 48: | And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? |
| Mohsin Khan: 48: | And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), if you speak the truth?" |
| French 48: | Et ils disent: ‹A quand cette promesse, si vous êtes véridiques›? |
| Spanish 48: | Dicen: "¿Cuándo se cumplirá esta amenaza, si es verdad lo que decís...?" |

| 49 | قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۚ إِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 49: | Qul la amliku linafsee darran wala nafAAan illa ma shaa Allahu likulli ommatin ajalun itha jaa ajaluhum fala yastakhiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 49: | Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." |
| Shakir 49: | Say: I do not control for myself any harm, or any benefit except what Allah pleases; every nation has a term; when their term comes, they shall not then remain behind for an hour, nor can they go before (their time). |
| Pickthal 49: | Say: I have no power to hurt or benefit myself, save that which Allah willeth. For every nation there is an appointed time. When their time cometh, then they cannot put it off an hour, nor hasten (it). |
| Mohsin Khan: 49: | Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except what Allah may will. For every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a term appointed; when their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)." (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi). |

| Indonesian 49: | Katakanlah: "Aku tidak berkuasa mendatangkan kemudharatan dan tidak (pula) kemanfa'atan kepada diriku, melainkan apa yang dikehendaki Allah." Tiap-tiap umat mempunyai ajal . Apabila telah datang ajal mereka, maka mereka tidak dapat mengundurkannya barang sesaatpun dan tidak (pula) mendahulukan (nya). |
| Melayu 49: | Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Aku tidak berkuasa menolak mudarat dan tidak juga berkuasa mendatangkan manfaat bagi diriku kecuali apa yang dikehendaki Allah. Bagi tiap-tiap umat ada tempoh yang ditetapkan; maka apabila tempohnya tiba, tidak dapat mereka melambatkannya sesaatpun dan tidak dapat mereka menyegerakannya. |
| German 49: | ""Sprich: ""Ich vermag mir selbst weder zu schaden noch zu nutzen, es sei denn, Allah will es. Jeder Gemeinschaft ist eine Frist bestimmt; und wenn ihre Frist um ist, so können sie nicht (hinter ihr) eine Stunde zurückbleiben, noch können sie ihr vorausgehen."" |
| Russian 49: | Скажи: «Я не способен причинить себе зло или принести себе пользу, если того не пожелает Аллах. Для каждой общины установлен срок. Когда же наступает их срок, они не могут отдалить или приблизить его даже на час». |
| Bosnian 49: | Reci: "Sam od sebe ne mogu nikakvu štetu otkloniti, a ni neku korist sebi pribaviti; biva onako kako Allah hoće! Svaki narod ima konac, i kad konac njegov dođe - ni za tren ga neće moći ni odložiti ni ubrzati." |
| Urdu 49: | کہہ دومیں اپنی ذات کے برے اور بھلے کا بھی مالک نہیں مگر جو الله چاہے ہر امت کا ایک وقت مقرر ہے جب وہ وقت آتا ہے تو ایک گھڑی بھی دیر نہیں کر سکتےہیں اور نہ جلدی کر سکتے ہیں |
| 50 | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُهُ بَيَاتًا أَوْ نَهَارًا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 50: | Qul araaytum in atakum AAathabuhu bayatan aw naharan matha yastaAAjilu minhu almujrimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 50: | Say: "Do ye see,- if His punishment should come to you by night or by day,- what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten? |
| Shakir 50: | Say: Tell me if His punishment overtakes you by night or by day! what then is there of it that the guilty would hasten on? |
| Pickthal 50: | Say: Have ye thought: When His doom cometh unto you as a raid by night, or in the (busy) day; what is there of it that the guilty ones desire to hasten? |
| Mohsin Khan: 50: | Say: "Tell me, if His torment should come to you by night or by day, which portion thereof would the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hasten on ?" |
| French 50: | Dis: ‹Voyez-vous! Si Son châtiment vous arrivait de nuit ou de jour, les criminels pourraient-ils en hâter quelque chose? |
| Spanish 50: | Di: "¿Qué os parece? Si os sorprendiera Su castigo de noche o de día, ¿querrían los pecadores aún adelantarlo? |
| Indonesian 50: | Katakanlah: "Terangkan kepadaku, jika datang kepada kamu sekalian siksaan-Nya di waktu malam atau di siang hari, apakah orang-orang yang berdosa itu minta disegerakan juga?" |
| Melayu 50: | Katakanlah: Sudahkah kamu nampak jalan keluar jika datang kepada kamu azab Tuhan itu, pada waktu malam atau pada waktu siang? Azab manakah yang orang-orang berdosa itu minta disegerakan (sedang sebarang azab wajib ditakuti)? |
| German 50: | ""Sprich: ""Was meint ihr? Wenn Seine Strafe über euch kommt, bei Nacht oder bei Tage, wie werden die Verbrecher sich ihr entziehen? |
| Russian 50: | Скажи: «Думали ли вы о том, что если мучения от Аллаха постигнут вас ночью или днем, какую часть их будут торопить грешники?» |
| Bosnian 50: | Reci: "Kažite vi meni; ako će vas kazna Njegova noću ili danju zadesiti, zašto je onda požuruju mnogobošci? |
| Urdu 50: | کہہ دو بھلا دیکھو تو اگر تم پر اس کا عذاب رات یا دن کو آجائے تو عذاب میں سے کون سی ایسی چیز ہے کہ مجرم اس کو جلدی مانگتے ہیں |
