| 101 | وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ نَبَذَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 101: | Walamma jaahum rasoolun min AAindi Allahi musaddiqun lima maAAahum nabatha fareequn mina allatheena ootoo alkitaba kitaba Allahi waraa thuhoorihim kaannahum la yaAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 101: | And when there came to them an apostle from Allah, confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah behind their backs, as if (it had been something) they did not know! |

| 102 | وَاتَّبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُو الشَّيَاطِينُ عَلَىٰ مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ ۖ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَلَـٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَ ۚ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ ۖ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ ۚ وَمَا هُم بِضَارِّينَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ ۚ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 102: | WaittabaAAoo ma tatloo alshshayateenu AAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanu walakinna alshshayateena kafaroo yuAAallimoona alnnasa alssihra wama onzila AAala almalakayni bibabila haroota wamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadin hatta yaqoola innama nahnu fitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma ma yufarriqoona bihi bayna almari wazawjihi wama hum bidarreena bihi min ahadin illa biithni Allahi wayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu ma lahu fee alakhirati min khalaqin walabisa ma sharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 102: | They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the blasphemers Were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men Magic, and such things as came down at babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not blaspheme." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah.s permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter. And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew! |
| Shakir 102: | And they followed what the Shaitans chanted of sorcery in the reign of Sulaiman, and Sulaiman was not an unbeliever, but the Shaitans disbelieved, they taught men sorcery and that was sent down to the two angels at Babel, Harut and Marut, yet these two taught no man until they had said, "Surely we are only a trial, therefore do not be a disbeliever." Even then men learned from these two, magic by which they might cause a separation between a man and his wife; and they cannot hurt with it any one except with Allah's permission, and they learned what harmed them and did not profit them, and certainly they know that he who bought it should have no share of good in the hereafter and evil was the price for which they sold their souls, had they but known this. |

| Indonesian 102: | Dan mereka mengikuti apa yang dibaca oleh syaitan-syaitan pada masa kerajaan Sulaiman (dan mereka mengatakan bahwa Sulaiman itu mengerjakan sihir), padahal Sulaiman tidak kafir (tidak mengerjakan sihir), hanya syaitan-syaitan itulah yang kafir (mengerjakan sihir). Mereka mengajarkan sihir kepada manusia dan apa yang diturunkan kepada dua orang malaikat di negeri Babil yaitu Harut dan Marut, sedang keduanya tidak mengajarkan (sesuatu) kepada seorangpun sebelum mengatakan: "Sesungguhnya kami hanya cobaan (bagimu), sebab itu janganlah kamu kafir". Maka mereka mempelajari dari kedua malaikat itu apa yang dengan sihir itu, mereka dapat menceraikan antara seorang (suami) dengan isterinya. Dan mereka itu (ahli sihir) tidak memberi mudharat dengan sihirnya kepada seorangpun kecuali dengan izin Allah. Dan mereka mempelajari sesuatu yang memberi mudharat kepadanya dan tidak memberi manfa'at. Demi, sesungguhnya mereka telah meyakini bahwa barangsiapa yang menukarnya (kitab Allah) dengan sihir itu, tiadalah baginya keuntungan di akhirat dan amat jahatlah perbuatan mereka menjual dirinya dengan sihir, kalau mereka mengetahui. |

Dalam pada itu ada juga orang-orang mempelajari dari mereka berdua: Ilmu sihir yang boleh menceraikan antara seorang suami dengan isterinya, padahal mereka tidak akan dapat sama sekali memberi mudarat (atau membahayakan) dengan sihir itu seseorang pun melainkan dengan izin Allah dan sebenarnya mereka mempelajari perkara yang hanya membahayakan mereka dan tidak memberi manfaat kepada mereka dan demi sesungguhnya mereka (kaum Yahudi itu) telahpun mengetahui bahawa sesiapa yang memilih ilmu sihir itu tidaklah lagi mendapat bahagian yang baik di akhirat. Demi sesungguhnya amat buruknya apa yang mereka pilih untuk diri mereka, kalaulah mereka mengetahui. |

Učili su ono što će im nauditi i od čega nikakve koristi neće imati iako su znali da onaj koji tom vještinom vlada neće nikakve sreće na onome svijetu imati. A doista je jadno ono za što su se prodali, kada bi samo znali! |
| Urdu 102: | اور انہوں نے اس چیز کی پیروی کی جو شیطان سلیمان کی بادشاہت کے وقت پڑھتے تھے اور سلیمان نے کفر نہیں کیا تھا لیکن شیطانوں نے ہی کفر کیا لوگوں کو جادو سکھاتے تھے اور اس کی بھی جو شہر بابل میں ہاروت و ماروت دوفرشتوں پر اتارا گیا تھا اور وہ کسی کو نہ سکھاتے تھے جب تک یہ نہ کہہ دیتے ہم تو صرف آزمائش کے لیے ہیں تو کافر نہ بن پس ان سے وہ بات سیکھتے تھے جس سے خاوند اور بیوی میں جدائی ڈالیں حالانکہ وہ اس سے کسی کو الله کے حکم کے سوا کچھ بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتے تھے اور سیکھتے تھے وہ و ان کو نقصان دیتی تھی اورنہ نفع اور وہ یہ بھی جانتے تھے کہ جس نے جادو کو خریدا اس کے لیے آخرت میں کچھ حصہ نہیں اور وہ چیز بہت بری ہے جس کے بدلہ میں انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو بیچا کاش وہ جانتے |
| 103 | وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَمَثُوبَةٌ مِّنْ عِندِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ ۖ لَّوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 103: | Walaw annahum amanoo waittaqaw lamathoobatun min AAindi Allahi khayrun law kanoo yaAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 103: | If they had kept their Faith and guarded themselves from evil, far better had been the reward from their Lord, if they but knew! |

| Transliteration 104: | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la taqooloo raAAina waqooloo onthurna waismaAAoo walilkafireena AAathabun aleemun |
| Yusuf Ali 104: | O ye of Faith! Say not (to the Messenger. words of ambiguous import, but words of respect; and hearken (to him): To those without Faith is a grievous punishment. |
| Shakir 104: | O you who believe! do not say Raina and say Unzurna and listen, and for the unbelievers there is a painful chastisement. |

| Transliteration 105: | Ma yawaddu allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi wala almushrikeena an yunazzala AAalaykum min khayrin min rabbikum waAllahu yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashao waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi |
| Yusuf Ali 105: | It is never the wish of those without Faith among the People of the Book, nor of the Pagans, that anything good should come down to you from your Lord. But Allah will choose for His special Mercy whom He will - for Allah is Lord of grace abounding. |
| Shakir 105: | Those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book do not like, nor do the polytheists, that the good should be sent down to you from your Lord, and Allah chooses especially whom He pleases for His mercy, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. |
| Pickthal 105: | Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture nor the idolaters love that there should be sent down unto you any good thing from your Lord. But Allah chooseth for His mercy whom He will, and Allah is of Infinite Bounty. |

But Allah chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty. |

| Melayu 105: | Orang-orang kafir dari Ahli kitab dan juga dari orang-orang musyrik, tidak suka kiranya diturunkan kepada kamu sedikit dari kebaikan (atau wahyu) dari Tuhan kamu Padahal Allah berhak menentukan rahmatNya kepada sesiapa yang dikehendakiNya dan Allah (jualah Yang) mempunyai limpah kurnia yang amat besar. |

| Yusuf Ali 106: | None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things? |

| Transliteration 107: | Alam taAAlam anna Allaha lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi wama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin |
| Yusuf Ali 107: | Knowest thou not that to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Him ye have neither patron nor helper. |

| Transliteration 108: | Am tureedoona an tasaloo rasoolakum kama suila moosa min qablu waman yatabaddali alkufra bialeemani faqad dalla sawaa alssabeeli |
| Yusuf Ali 108: | Would ye question your Messenger as Moses was questioned of old? but whoever changeth from Faith to Unbelief, Hath strayed without doubt from the even way. |
| Shakir 108: | Rather you wish to put questions to your Messenger, as Musa was questioned before; and whoever adopts unbelief instead of faith, he indeed has lost the right direction of the way. |
| Pickthal 108: | Or would ye question your messenger as Moses was questioned aforetime? He who chooseth disbelief instead of faith, verily he hath gone astray from a plain road. |

| 109 | وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
| Transliteration 109: | Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabi law yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadan min AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqu faoAAfoo waisfahoo hatta yatiya Allahu biamrihi inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |
| Yusuf Ali 109: | Quite a number of the People of the Book wish they could Turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the Truth hath become Manifest unto them: But forgive and overlook, Till Allah accomplish His purpose; for Allah Hath power over all things. |
| Shakir 109: | Many of the followers of the Book wish that they could turn you back into unbelievers after your faith, out of envy from themselves, (even) after the truth has become manifest to them; but pardon and forgive, so that Allah should bring about His command; surely Allah has power over all things. |
| Pickthal 109: | Many of the people of the Scripture long to make you disbelievers after your belief, through envy on their own account, after the truth hath become manifest unto them. Forgive and be indulgent (toward them) until Allah give command. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. |

| Transliteration 110: | Waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata wama tuqaddimoo lianfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi inna Allaha bima taAAmaloona baseerun |
| Yusuf Ali 110: | And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah. for Allah sees Well all that ye do. |
| Shakir 110: | And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and whatever good you send before for yourselves, you shall find it with Allah; surely Allah sees what you do. |
| Pickthal 110: | Establish worship, and pay the poor-due; and whatever of good ye send before (you) for your souls, ye will find it with Allah. Lo! Allah is Seer of what ye do. |

| 111 | وَقَالُوا لَن يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَارَىٰ ۗ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ ۗ قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Transliteration 111: | Waqaloo lan yadkhula aljannata illa man kana hoodan aw nasara tilka amaniyyuhum qul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Yusuf Ali 111: | And they say: "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say: "Produce your proof if ye are truthful." |
| Shakir 111: | And they say: None shall enter the garden (or paradise) except he who is a Jew or a Christian. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful. |
| Pickthal 111: | And they say: None entereth paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian. These are their own desires. Say: Bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful. |

| Melayu 111: | Dan mereka (Yahudi dan Nasrani) berkata pula: Tidak sekali-kali akan masuk Syurga melainkan orang-orang yang beragama Yahudi atau Nasrani. Yang demikian itu hanyalah angan-angan mereka sahaja. Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Bawalah kemari keterangan-keterangan yang (membuktikan kebenaran) apa yang kamu katakan itu, jika betul kamu orang-orang yang benar. |

| Transliteration 112: | Bala man aslama wajhahu lillahi wahuwa muhsinun falahu ajruhu AAinda rabbihi wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona |
| Yusuf Ali 112: | Nay,-whoever submits His whole self to Allah and is a doer of good,- He will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. |
| Shakir 112: | Yes! whoever submits himself entirely to Allah and he is the doer of good (to others) he has his reward from his Lord, and there is no fear for him nor shall he grieve. |
| Pickthal 112: | Nay, but whosoever surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good, his reward is with his Lord; and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. |
| Mohsin Khan: 112: | Yes, but whoever submits his face (himself) to Allah (i.e. follows Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism) and he is a Muhsin then his reward is with his Lord (Allah), on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. [See Tafsir Ibn Kathir ]. |

| Transliteration 113: | Waqalati alyahoodu laysati alnnasara AAala shayin waqalati alnnasara laysati alyahoodu AAala shayin wahum yatloona alkitaba kathalika qala allatheena la yaAAlamoona mithla qawlihim faAllahu yahkumu baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona |
| Yusuf Ali 113: | The Jews say: "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say: "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Yet they (Profess to) study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but Allah will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment. |
| Shakir 113: | And the Jews say: The Christians do not follow anything (good) and the Christians say: The Jews do not follow anything (good) while they recite the (same) Book. Even thus say those who have no knowledge, like to what they say; so Allah shall judge between them on the day of resurrection in what they differ. |

| Transliteration 114: | Waman athlamu mimman manaAAa masajida Allahi an yuthkara feeha ismuhu wasaAAa fee kharabiha olaika ma kana lahum an yadkhulooha illa khaifeena lahum fee alddunya khizyun walahum fee alakhirati AAathabun AAatheemun |
| Yusuf Ali 114: | And who is more unjust than he who forbids that in places for the worship of Allah, Allah.s name should be celebrated?-whose zeal is (in fact) to ruin them? It was not fitting that such should themselves enter them except in fear. For them there is nothing but disgrace in this world, and in the world to come, an exceeding torment. |

| Transliteration 118: | Waqala allatheena la yaAAlamoona lawla yukallimuna Allahu aw tateena ayatun kathalika qala allatheena min qablihim mithla qawlihim tashabahat quloobuhum qad bayyanna alayati liqawmin yooqinoona |
| Yusuf Ali 118: | Say those without knowledge: "Why speaketh not Allah unto us? or why cometh not unto us a Sign?" So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike. We have indeed made clear the Signs unto any people who hold firmly to Faith (in their hearts). |
| Shakir 118: | And those who have no knowledge say: Why does not Allah speak to us or a sign come to us? Even thus said those before them, the like of what they say; their hearts are all alike. Indeed We have made the communications clear for a people who are sure. |

| Transliteration 119: | Inna arsalnaka bialhaqqi basheeran wanatheeran wala tusalu Aaan ashabi aljaheemi |
| Yusuf Ali 119: | Verily We have sent thee in truth as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: But of thee no question shall be asked of the Companions of the Blazing Fire. |
| Shakir 119: | Surely We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and as a warner, and you shall not be called upon to answer for the companions of the flaming fire. |
| Pickthal 119: | Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) with the truth, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And thou wilt not be asked about the owners of hell-fire. |
| Mohsin Khan: 119: | Verily, We have sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with the truth (Islam), a bringer of glad tidings (for those who believe in what you brought, that they will enter Paradise) and a warner (for those who disbelieve in what you brought, that they will enter the Hell-fire). And you will not be asked about the dwellers of the blazing Fire. |

| Indonesian 119: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutusmu (Muhammad) dengan kebenaran; sebagai pembawa berita gembira dan pemberi peringatan, dan kamu tidak akan diminta (pertanggungjawaban) tentang penghuni-penghuni neraka. |
| Melayu 119: | Sesungguhnya Kami telah mengutuskan engkau (wahai Muhammad) dengan kebenaran, (serta menjadi) pembawa khabar gembira (kepada orang-orang yang beriman) dan pembawa amaran (kepada orang-orang yang ingkar) dan (setelah engkau sampaikan semuanya itu), engkau tidak akan diminta (bertanggungjawab) tentang ahli Neraka. |
| German 119: | "Wir haben dich mit der Wahrheit gesandt als Verkünder der frohen Botschaft und Warner, und du bist für die Gefährten der Dschahim nicht verantwortlich. |
| Russian 119: | Мы отправили тебя с истиной добрым вестником и предостерегающим увещевателем, и ты не будешь спрошен об обитателях Ада. |
| Bosnian 119: | Mi smo te poslali da istinu objaviš i da radosne vijesti i opomenu doneseš, i ti nećeš biti pitan za one koji su u Džehennemu. |
| Urdu 119: | بے شک ہم نے تمہیں سچائ کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے خوشخبری سنانے کے لیے اور ڈرانے کے لیے اور تم سے دوزخیوں کے متعلق باز پرس نہ ہو گی |
| 120 | وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلَا النَّصَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَىٰ ۗ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ |
| Transliteration 120: | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu wala alnnasara hatta tattabiAAa millatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhuda walaini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin |
| Yusuf Ali 120: | Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The Guidance of Allah,-that is the (only) Guidance." Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor helper against Allah. |
| Shakir 120: | And the Jews will not be pleased with you, nor the Christians until you follow their religion. Say: Surely Allah's guidance, that is the (true) guidance. And if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, you shall have no guardian from Allah, nor any helper. |
| Pickthal 120: | And the Jews will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed. Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah (Himself) is Guidance. And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting guardian nor helper. |
| Mohsin Khan: 120: | Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) till you follow their religion. Say: "Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur'an), then you would have against Allah neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper. |
| French 120: | Ni les Juifs, ni les Chrétiens ne seront jamais satisfaits de toi, jusqu'à ce que tu suives leur religion. - Dis: ‹Certes, c'est la direction d'Allah qui est la vraie direction›. Mais si tu suis leurs passions après ce que tu as reçu de science, tu n'auras contre Allah ni protecteur ni secoureur. |
| Spanish 120: | Ni los judíos ni los cristianos estarán satisfechos de ti mientras no sigas su religión. Di: "La dirección de Alá es la Dirección". Ciertamente, si sigues sus pasiones después e haber sabido tú lo que has sabido. no tendrás amigo ni auxiliar frente a Alá. |
| Indonesian 120: | Orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani tidak akan senang kepada kamu hingga kamu mengikuti agama mereka. Katakanlah: "Sesungguhnya petunjuk Allah itulah petunjuk (yang benar)". Dan sesungguhnya jika kamu mengikuti kemauan mereka setelah pengetahuan datang kepadamu, maka Allah tidak lagi menjadi pelindung dan penolong bagimu. |
| Melayu 120: | Orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani tidak sekali-kali akan bersetuju atau suka kepadamu (wahai Muhammad) sehingga engkau menurut agama mereka (yang telah terpesong itu). Katakanlah (kepada mereka): Sesungguhnya petunjuk Allah (agama Islam itulah petunjuk yang benar dan demi sesungguhnya jika engkau menurut kehendak hawa nafsu mereka sesudah datangnya (wahyu yang memberi) pengetahuan kepadamu (tentang kebenaran), maka tiadalah engkau akan peroleh dari Allah (sesuatupun) yang dapat mengawal dan memberi pertolongan kepadamu. |
| German 120: | "Mit dir werden weder die Juden noch die Christen zufrieden sein, bis du ihrem Bekenntnis gefolgt bist. Sprich: ""Wahrlich, die Rechtleitung Allahs ist die einzig wahre Rechtleitung."" Und wenn du ihrem Ansinnen folgst, nachdem zu dir das Wissen gekommen ist, so wirst du vor Allah weder Freund noch Helfer haben. |
| Russian 120: | Иудеи и христиане не будут довольны тобой, пока ты не станешь придерживаться их религии. Скажи: «Путь Аллаха – это прямой путь». Если же ты станешь потакать их желаниям после того, как к тебе явилось знание, то Аллах не будет тебе ни Покровителем, ни Помощником. |
| Bosnian 120: | Ni jevreji, ni kršćani neće biti tobom zadovoljni sve dok ne prihvatiš vjeru njihovu. Reci: "Allahov put je jedini Pravi put!" A ako bi se ti poveo sa željama njihovim, nakon Objave koja ti dolazi, od Allaha te niko ne bi mogao zaštititi niti odbraniti. |
| Urdu 120: | اورتم سے یہود اور نصاریٰ ہرگز راضی نہ ہوں گے جب تک کہ تم ان کے دین کی پیروی نہیں کرو گے کہہ دو بے شک ہدایت الله ہی کی ہدایت ہے اور اگر تم نے ان کی خواہشوں کی پیروی کی اس کے بعد جو تمہارے پاس علم آ چکا تو تمہارے لیے الله کے ہاں کوئی دوست اور مددگار نہیں ہوگا |
| 121 | الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ أُولَـٰئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ |
| Transliteration 121: | Allatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yatloonahu haqqa tilawatihi olaika yuminoona bihi waman yakfur bihi faolaika humu alkhasiroona |
| Yusuf Ali 121: | Those to whom We have sent the Book study it as it should be studied: They are the ones that believe therein: Those who reject faith therein,- the loss is their own. |
| Shakir 121: | Those to whom We have given the Book read it as it ought to be read. These believe in it; and whoever disbelieves in it, these it is that are the losers. |
| Pickthal 121: | Those unto whom We have given the Scripture, who read it with the right reading, those believe in it. And whoso disbelieveth in it, those are they who are the losers. |
| Mohsin Khan: 121: | Those (who embraced Islam from Bani Israel) to whom We gave the Book [the Taurat (Torah)] [or those (Muhammad's صلى الله عليه وسلم companions) to whom We have given the Book (the Qur'an)] recite it (i.e. obey its orders and follow its teachings) as it should be recited (i.e. followed), they are the ones who believe therein. And whoso disbelieve in it (the Qur'an), those are they who are the losers. (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi). |

| Melayu 121: | Orang-orang yang Kami berikan Kitab kepada mereka, sedang mereka membacanya dengan sebenar-benar bacaan (tidak mengubah dan memutarkan maksudnya), mereka itulah orang-orang yang beriman kepadanya dan sesiapa yang mengingkarinya maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang rugi. |
| German 121: | "Diejenigen, denen Wir das Buch gegeben haben, lesen es, wie man es lesen soll. Diese glauben daran. Wer aber daran nicht glaubt - diese sind wahrlich die Verlierenden. |
| Russian 121: | Те, кому Мы даровали Писание и кто читает его надлежащим образом, действительно веруют в него. А те, которые не уверуют в него, непременно окажутся в убытке. |
| Bosnian 121: | Neki od sljedbenika Knjige čitaju je onako kako je objavljena; oni u nju vjeruju. A nastradaće sigurno oni koji u nju ne vjeruju. |
| Urdu 121: | وہ لوگ جنہیں ہم نے کتاب دی ہے وہ اسے پڑھتے ہیں جیسا اس کے پڑھنے کا حق ہے وہی لوگ اس پر ایمان لاتے ہیں جور اس سے انکار کرتے ہیں وہی نقصان اٹھانے والے ہیں |
| 122 | يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتِيَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأَنِّي فَضَّلْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ |
| Transliteration 122: | Ya banee israeela othkuroo niAAmatiya allatee anAAamtu AAalaykum waannee faddaltukum AAala alAAalameena |
| Yusuf Ali 122: | O Children of Israel! call to mind the special favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all others (for My Message). |
| Shakir 122: | O children of Israel, call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations. |
| Pickthal 122: | O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures. |
| Mohsin Khan: 122: | O Children of Israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you and that I preferred you to the 'Alamin [mankind and jinn (of your time-period, in the past)]. |

| 123 | وَاتَّقُوا يَوْمًا لَّا تَجْزِي نَفْسٌ عَن نَّفْسٍ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُقْبَلُ مِنْهَا عَدْلٌ وَلَا تَنفَعُهَا شَفَاعَةٌ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ |
| Transliteration 123: | Waittaqoo yawman la tajzee nafsun AAan nafsin shayan wala yuqbalu minha AAadlun wala tanfaAAuha shafaAAatun wala hum yunsaroona |
| Yusuf Ali 123: | Then guard yourselves against a-Day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from her nor shall intercession profit her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). |
| Shakir 123: | And be on your guard against a day when no soul shall avail another in the least neither shall any compensation be accepted from it, nor shall intercession profit it, nor shall they be helped. |
| Pickthal 123: | And guard (yourselves) against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will compensation be accepted from it, nor will intercession be of use to it; nor will they be helped. |

| Melayu 123: | Dan peliharalah diri kamu dari (huru-hara) hari kiamat (yang padanya) seseorang tidak dapat mengganti atau melepaskan orang lain sedikitpun dan tidak akan diterima daripadanya sebarang tebusan dan tidak akan memberi manfaat kepadanya sebarang syafaat dan orang-orang yang salah itu tidak akan ditolong (dari azab sengsara). |
| German 123: | Und fürchtet den Tag, an dem keine Seele für eine andere etwas übernehmen kann und von ihr weder Lösegeld angenommen noch ihr eine Fürsprache (etwas) nützen wird. Und diesen wird kein Beistand zuteil. |
| Russian 123: | Страшитесь дня, когда ни один человек не принесет пользы другому и когда нельзя будет откупиться, когда ничем не поможет заступничество и когда им не будет оказана поддержка. |
| Bosnian 123: | I bojte se Dana kada niko ni za koga neće moći ništa učiniti, kada se ni od koga otkup neće primiti, kada nikome zagovor neće koristiti, i kada im niko neće moći pomoći! |
| Urdu 123: | اوراس دن سے ڈرو جس دن کوئی بھی کسی کے کام نہ آئے گا اور نہ اس سے بدلہ قبول کیا جائے گا اور نہ اسے کوئی سفارش نفع دے گی اور نہ وہ مدد دیے جائیں گے |
| 124 | ۞ وَإِذِ ابْتَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا ۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِينَ |
| Transliteration 124: | Waithi ibtala ibraheema rabbuhu bikalimatin faatammahunna qala innee jaAAiluka lilnnasi imaman qala wamin thurriyyatee qala la yanalu AAahdee alththalimeena |
| Yusuf Ali 124: | And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: "I will make thee an Imam to the Nations." He pleaded: "And also (Imams) from my offspring!" He answered: "But My Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers." |
| Shakir 124: | And when his Lord tried Ibrahim with certain words, he fulfilled them. He said: Surely I will make you an Imam of men. Ibrahim said: And of my offspring? My covenant does not include the unjust, said He. |
| Pickthal 124: | And (remember) when his Lord tried Abraham with (His) commands, and he fulfilled them, He said: Lo! I have appointed thee a leader for mankind. (Abraham) said: And of my offspring (will there be leaders)? He said: My covenant includeth not wrong-doers. |
| Mohsin Khan: 124: | And (remember) when the Lord of Ibrahim (Abraham) [i.e., Allah] tried him with (certain) Commands, which he fulfilled. He (Allah) said (to him), "Verily, I am going to make you an Imam (a leader) for mankind (to follow you)." [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said, "And of my offspring (to make leaders)." (Allah) said, "My Covenant (Prophethood) includes not Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)." |
| French 124: | [Et rappelle-toi,] quand ton Seigneur eut éprouvé Abraham par certains commandements, et qu'il les eut accomplis, le Seigneur lui dit: ‹Je vais faire de toi un exemple à suivre pour les gens›. - ‹Et parmi ma descendance›? demanda-t-il. - ‹Mon engagement, dit Allah, ne s'applique pas aux injustes›. |
| Spanish 124: | Y cuando su Señor probó a Abraham con ciertas órdenes. Al cumplirlas, dijo: "Haré de ti guía para los hombres". Dijo: "¿Y de mi descendencia?" Dijo: "Mi alianza no incluye a los impíos". |
| Indonesian 124: | Dan (ingatlah), ketika Ibrahim diuji Tuhannya dengan beberapa kalimat (perintah dan larangan), lalu Ibrahim menunaikannya. Allah berfirman: "Sesungguhnya Aku akan menjadikanmu imam bagi seluruh manusia". Ibrahim berkata: "(Dan saya mohon juga) dari keturunanku". Allah berfirman: "Janji-Ku (ini) tidak mengenai orang-orang yang zalim". |
| Melayu 124: | Dan (ingatlah), ketika Nabi Ibrahim diuji oleh Tuhannya dengan beberapa Kalimat (suruhan dan larangan), maka Nabi Ibrahim pun menyempurnakannya. (Setelah itu) Allah berfirman: Sesungguhnya Aku melantikmu menjadi Imam (Pemimpin ikutan) bagi umat manusia. Nabi Ibrahim pun memohon dengan berkata: (Ya Tuhanku!) Jadikanlah juga (apalah jua kiranya) dari keturunanku (pemimpin-pemimpin ikutan). Allah berfirman: (Permohonanmu diterima, tetapi) janjiKu ini tidak akan didapati oleh orang-orang yang zalim. |
| German 124: | "Und als Abraham von seinem Herrn durch Worte geprüft wurde und er diese vollbrachte, (da) sprach Er: ""Ich werde dich zu einem Imam für die Menschen machen."" Da bat Abraham: ""Auch von meiner Nachkommenschaft."" Er sprach: ""Mein Versprechen erstreckt sich nicht auf die, die Unrecht tun. "" |
| Russian 124: | Вот испытал Господь Ибрахима (Авраама) повелениями, и тот выполнил их. Он сказал: «Я сделаю тебя предводителем людей». Он сказал: «И из моего потомства». Он сказал: «Мой завет не коснется беззаконников». |

| Urdu 124: | اور جب ابراھیم کو اس کے رب نے کئی باتوں میں آزمایا تو اس نےانہیں پورا کر دیا فرمایا بے شک میں تمہیں سب لوگوں کا پیشوا بنادوں گا کہا اور میری اولاد میں سے بھی فرمایا میرا عہد ظالموں کو نہیں پہنچے گا |
| 125 | وَإِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَأَمْنًا وَاتَّخِذُوا مِن مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى ۖ وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَن طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ |
| Transliteration 125: | Waith jaAAalna albayta mathabatan lilnnasi waamnan waittakhithoo min maqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidna ila ibraheema waismaAAeela an tahhira baytiya lilttaifeena waalAAakifeena waalrrukkaAAi alssujoodi |
| Yusuf Ali 125: | Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). |
| Shakir 125: | And when We made the House a pilgrimage for men and a (place of) security, and: Appoint for yourselves a place of prayer on the standing-place of Ibrahim. And We enjoined Ibrahim and Ismail saying: Purify My House for those who visit (it) and those who abide (in it) for devotion and those who bow down (and) those who prostrate themselves. |
| Pickthal 125: | And when We made the House (at Makka) a resort for mankind and sanctuary, (saying): Take as your place of worship the place where Abraham stood (to pray). And We imposed a duty upon Abraham and Ishmael, (saying): Purify My house for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves (in worship). |
| Mohsin Khan: 125: | And (remember) when We made the House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) a place of resort for mankind and a place of safety. And take you (people) the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham) [or the stone on which Ibrahim (Abraham) عليه السلام stood while he was building the Ka'bah] as a place of prayer (for some of your prayers, e.g. two Rak'at after the Tawaf of the Ka'bahat Makkah), and We commanded Ibrahim (Abraham) and Isma'il (Ishmael) that they should purify My House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) for those who are circumambulating it, or staying (I'tikaf), or bowing or prostrating themselves (there, in prayer). |

| Transliteration 126: | Waith qala ibraheemu rabbi ijAAal hatha baladan aminan waorzuq ahlahu mina alththamarati man amana minhum biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri qala waman kafara faomattiAAuhu qaleelan thumma adtarruhu ila AAathabi alnnari wabisa almaseeru |
| Yusuf Ali 126: | And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!" |

| Yusuf Ali 130: | And who turns away from the religion of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world: And he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the Righteous. |
| Shakir 130: | And who forsakes the religion of Ibrahim but he who makes himself a fool, and most certainly We chose him in this world, and in the hereafter he is most surely among the righteous. |

| Transliteration 137: | Fain amanoo bimithli ma amantum bihi faqadi ihtadaw wain tawallaw fainnama hum fee shiqaqin fasayakfeekahumu Allahu wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu |
| Yusuf Ali 137: | So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. |
| Shakir 137: | If then they believe as you believe in Him, they are indeed on the right course, and if they turn back, then they are only in great opposition, so Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. |

| Mohsin Khan: 137: | So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. |

| Indonesian 137: | Maka jika mereka beriman kepada apa yang kamu telah beriman kepadanya, sungguh mereka telah mendapat petunjuk; dan jika mereka berpaling, sesungguhnya mereka berada dalam permusuhan (dengan kamu). Maka Allah akan memelihara kamu dari mereka. Dan Dialah Yang Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui. |
| Melayu 137: | Maka kalau mereka beriman sebagaimana kamu beriman (dengan Kitab-kitab Allah dan Rasul-rasulnya), maka sesungguhnya mereka telah beroleh petunjuk dan jika mereka berpaling (serta tidak mahu beriman dengan sebenar-benar iman) maka sesungguhnya mereka akan tinggal berkekalan dalam perbalahan dan permusuhan (dengan kamu). Oleh itu (janganlah engkau khuatir wahai Muhammad) kerana Allah akan memeliharamu (dan umatmu) dari kejahatan mereka dan Dialah jua Yang Maha Mendengar, lagi Maha Mengetahui. |
| German 137: | "Wenn sie so glauben, wie ihr glaubt, dann werden sie rechtgeleitet sein; wenn sie sich aber abwenden, so sind sie nur in Abspaltung geraten. Doch Allah wird dir wider sie genügen, und Er ist der Allhörende, der Allwissende. |
| Russian 137: | Если они уверуют в то, во что уверовали вы, то последуют прямым путем. Если же они отвернутся, то окажутся в разладе с истиной. Аллах избавит тебя от них, ибо Он – Слышащий, Знающий. |

| Transliteration 138: | Sibghata Allahi waman ahsanu mina Allahi sibghatan wanahnu lahu AAabidoona |
| Yusuf Ali 138: | (Our religion is) the Baptism of Allah. And who can baptize better than Allah. And it is He Whom we worship. |
| Shakir 138: | (Receive) the baptism of Allah, and who is better than Allah in baptising? and Him do we serve. |
| Pickthal 138: | (We take our) colour from Allah, and who is better than Allah at colouring. We are His worshippers. |

| Transliteration 139: | Qul atuhajjoonana fee Allahi wahuwa rabbuna warabbukum walana aAAmaluna walakum aAAmalukum wanahnu lahu mukhlisoona |
| Yusuf Ali 139: | Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that We are sincere (in our faith) in Him? |
| Shakir 139: | Say: Do you dispute with us about Allah, and He is our Lord and your Lord, and we shall have our deeds and you shall have your deeds, and we are sincere to Him. |

| Transliteration 140: | Am taqooloona inna ibraheema waismaAAeela waishaqa wayaAAqooba waalasbata kanoo hoodan aw nasara qul aantum aAAlamu ami Allahu waman athlamu mimman katama shahadatan AAindahu mina Allahi wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 140: | Or do ye say that Abraham, Isma'il Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Do ye know better than Allah. Ah! who is more unjust than those who conceal the testimony they have from Allah. but Allah is not unmindful of what ye do! |
| Shakir 140: | Nay! do you say that Ibrahim and Ismail and Yaqoub and the tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Are you better knowing or Allah? And who is more unjust than he who conceals a testimony that he has from Allah? And Allah is not at all heedless of what you do. |

And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony [i.e. to believe in Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم when he comes, as is written in their Books. (See Verse 7:157)] he has from Allah? | Transliteration 141: | Tilka ommatun qad khalat laha ma kasabat walakum ma kasabtum wala tusaloona AAamma kanoo yaAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 141: | That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case: |
| Shakir 141: | This is a people that have passed away; they shall have what they earned and you shall have what you earn, and you shall not be called upon to answer for what they did. |
| Pickthal 141: | Those are a people who have passed away; theirs is that which they earned and yours that which ye earn. And ye will not be asked of what they used to do. |

| 142 | ۞ سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مَا وَلَّاهُمْ عَن قِبْلَتِهِمُ الَّتِي كَانُوا عَلَيْهَا ۚ قُل لِّلَّهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ ۚ يَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ |
| Transliteration 142: | Sayaqoolu alssufahao mina alnnasi ma wallahum AAan qiblatihimu allatee kanoo AAalayha qul lillahi almashriqu waalmaghribu yahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin |
| Yusuf Ali 142: | The fools among the people will say: "What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?" Say: To Allah belong both east and West: He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight. |
| Shakir 142: | The fools among the people will say: What has turned them from their qiblah which they had? Say: The East and the West belong only to Allah; He guides whom He likes to the right path. |
| Pickthal 142: | The foolish of the people will say: What hath turned them from the qiblah which they formerly observed? Say: Unto Allah belong the East and the West. He guideth whom He will unto a straight path. |
| Mohsin Khan: 142: | The fools among the people (pagans, hypocrites, and Jews) will say, "What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah [prayer direction (towards Jerusalem)] to which they used to face in prayer." Say, (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) "To Allah belong both, east and the west. He guides whom He wills to the Straight Way." |

| Indonesian 142: | Orang-orang yang kurang akalnya di antara manusia akan berkata: "Apakah yang memalingkan mereka (umat Islam) dari kiblatnya (Baitul Maqdis) yang dahulu mereka telah berkiblat kepadanya?" Katakanlah: "Kepunyaan Allah-lah timur dan barat; Dia memberi petunjuk kepada siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya ke jalan yang lurus . |
| Melayu 142: | Orang-orang bodoh (yang kurang akal pertimbangannya) akan berkata: Apa sebabnya yang menjadikan orang-orang Islam berpaling dari kiblat yang mereka mengadapnya selama ini? Katakanlah (wahai Muhammad): Timur dan barat adalah kepunyaan Allah (maka ke pihak mana sahaja kita diarahkan Allah mengadapnya, wajiblah kita mematuhiNya); Allah yang memberikan petunjuk hidayatNya kepada sesiapa yang dikehendakiNya ke jalan yang lurus. |

| 143 | وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِّتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا ۗ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الْقِبْلَةَ الَّتِي كُنتَ عَلَيْهَا إِلَّا لِنَعْلَمَ مَن يَتَّبِعُ الرَّسُولَ مِمَّن يَنقَلِبُ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ ۚ وَإِن كَانَتْ لَكَبِيرَةً إِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللَّهُ ۗ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 143: | Wakathalika jaAAalnakum ommatan wasatan litakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasi wayakoona alrrasoolu AAalaykum shaheedan wama jaAAalna alqiblata allatee kunta AAalayha illa linaAAlama man yattabiAAu alrrasoola mimman yanqalibu AAala AAaqibayhi wain kanat lakabeeratan illa AAala allatheena hada Allahu wama kana Allahu liyudeeAAa eemanakum inna Allaha bialnnasi laraoofun raheemun |
| Yusuf Ali 143: | Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful. |
| Shakir 143: | And thus We have made you a medium (just) nation that you may be the bearers of witness to the people and (that) the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you; and We did not make that which you would have to be the qiblah but that We might distinguish him who follows the Messenger from him who turns back upon his heels, and this was surely hard except for those whom Allah has guided aright; and Allah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless; most surely Allah is Affectionate, Merciful to the people. |
| Pickthal 143: | Thus We have appointed you a middle nation, that ye may be witnesses against mankind, and that the messenger may be a witness against you. And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided. But it was not Allah's purpose that your faith should be in vain, for Allah is Full of Pity, Merciful toward mankind. |
| Mohsin Khan: 143: | Thus We have made you [true Muslims - real believers of Islamic Monotheism, true followers of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and his Sunnah (legal ways)], a just (and the best) nation, that you be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) be a witness over you. And We made the Qiblah (prayer direction towards Jerusalem) which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from those who would turn on their heels (i.e. disobey the Messenger). Indeed it was great (heavy) except for those whom Allah guided. And Allah would never make your faith (prayers) to be lost (i.e. your prayers offered towards Jerusalem). Truly, Allah is full of Kindness, the Most Merciful towards mankind. |

Ciertamente, es cosa grave, pero no para aquéllos a quienes Alá dirige. Alá no va a dejar que se pierda vuestra fe. Alá es manso para con los hombres, misericordioso. |
| Indonesian 143: | Dan demikian (pula) Kami telah menjadikan kamu (umat Islam), umat yang adil dan pilihan agar kamu menjadi saksi atas (perbuatan) manusia dan agar Rasul (Muhammad) menjadi saksi atas (perbuatan) kamu. Dan Kami tidak menetapkan kiblat yang menjadi kiblatmu (sekarang) melainkan agar Kami mengetahui (supaya nyata) siapa yang mengikuti Rasul dan siapa yang membelot. Dan sungguh (pemindahan kiblat) itu terasa amat berat, kecuali bagi orang-orang yang telah diberi petunjuk oleh Allah; dan Allah tidak akan menyia-nyiakan imanmu. Sesungguhnya Allah Amat melimpah belas kasihan dan rahmatNya kepada orang-orang (yang beriman). |

| Transliteration 144: | Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee alssamai falanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu ma kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wainna allatheena ootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma yaAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 144: | We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens: now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. | Yusuf Ali 145: | Even if thou wert to bring to the people of the Book all the Signs (together), they would not follow Thy Qibla; nor art thou going to follow their Qibla; nor indeed will they follow each other's Qibla. | Yusuf Ali 146: | The people of the Book know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know. |

| Transliteration 148: | Walikullin wijhatun huwa muwalleeha faistabiqoo alkhayrati aynama takoonoo yati bikumu Allahu jameeAAan inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |
| Yusuf Ali 148: | To each is a goal to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) Towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you Together. For Allah Hath power over all things. |
| Shakir 148: | And every one has a direction to which he should turn, therefore hasten to (do) good works; wherever you are, Allah will bring you all together; surely Allah has power over all things. |

| Melayu 148: | Dan bagi tiap-tiap umat ada arah (kiblat) yang masing-masing menujunya; oleh itu berlumba-lumbalah kamu mengerjakan kebaikan; kerana di mana sahaja kamu berada maka Allah tetap akan membawa kamu semua (berhimpun pada hari kiamat untuk menerima balasan); sesungguhnya Allah Maha Kuasa atas tiap-tiap sesuatu. |
| German 148: | Jeder hat eine Richtung, der er sich zuwendet. So wetteifert miteinander in guten Werken. Wo immer ihr auch seid, Allah wird euch allesamt zusammenführen; wahrlich, Allah hat Macht über alle Dinge. |
| Russian 148: | У каждого есть сторона, куда он обращается лицом. Стремитесь же опередить друг друга в добрых делах. Где бы вы ни были, Аллах приведет всех вас вместе. Воистину, Аллах способен на всякую вещь. |
| Bosnian 148: | Svako se okreće prema svojoj Kibli, a vi se potrudite da druge, čineći dobra djela, pretečete! Ma gdje bili, Allah će vas sve sabrati - Allah, zaista, sve može. |

| 149 | وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۖ وَإِنَّهُ لَلْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Transliteration 149: | Wamin haythu kharajta fawalli wajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wainnahu lalhaqqu min rabbika wama Allahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 149: | From whencesoever Thou startest forth, turn Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque; that is indeed the truth from the Lord. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do. |
| Shakir 149: | And from whatsoever place you come forth, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque; and surely it is the very truth from your Lord, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do. |

| Melayu 149: | Dan dari mana sahaja engkau keluar (untuk mengerjakan sembahyang), maka hadapkanlah mukamu ke arah Masjidilharam (Kaabah) dan sesungguhnya perintah berkiblat ke Kaabah itu adalah benar dari Tuhanmu dan (ingatlah), Allah tidak sekali-kali lalai akan segala apa yang kamu lakukan. |
| German 149: | Und von wo du auch herkommst, wende dein Gesicht in Richtung der heiligen Moschee; denn dies ist gewiß die Wahrheit von deinem Herrn. Und Allah ist dessen nicht achtlos, was ihr tut. |

| Transliteration 150: | Wamin haythu kharajta fawalli wajhaka shatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu ma kuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu lialla yakoona lilnnasi AAalaykum hujjatun illa allatheena thalamoo minhum fala takhshawhum waikhshawnee waliotimma niAAmatee AAalaykum walaAAallakum tahtadoona |

Así completaré Mi gracia en vosotros. Y quizás. así, seáis bien dirigidos. |
| Indonesian 150: | Dan dari mana saja kamu keluar, maka palingkanlah wajahmu ke arah Masjidil Haram. Dan di mana saja kamu (sekalian) berada, maka palingkanlah wajahmu ke arahnya, agar tidak ada hujjah bagi manusia atas kamu, kecuali orang-orang yang zalim di antara mereka. Maka janganlah kamu takut kepada mereka dan takutlah kepada-Ku. Dan agar Kusempurnakan ni'mat-Ku atasmu, dan supaya kamu mendapat petunjuk. |
| Melayu 150: | Dan dari mana sahaja engkau keluar (untuk mengerjakan sembahyang), maka hadapkanlah mukamu ke arah Masjidilharam (Kaabah) dan di mana sahaja kamu berada maka hadapkanlah muka kamu ke arahnya, supaya tidak ada lagi (sebarang) alasan bagi orang-orang (yang menyalahi kamu), kecuali orang-orang yang zalim di antara mereka (ada sahaja yang mereka jadikan alasan). Maka janganlah kamu takut kepada (cacat cela) mereka dan takutlah kamu kepadaKu (semata-mata) dan supaya Aku sempurnakan nikmatKu kepada kamu dan juga supaya kamu beroleh petunjuk hidayat (mengenai perkara yang benar). |

Und wo immer ihr auch seid, wendet eure Gesichter in ihre Richtung, damit die Menschen keinen Beweisgrund gegen euch haben - außer denjenigen unter ihnen, die unrecht tun; so fürchtet nicht sie, sondern fürchtet Mich. Und damit Ich Meine Gnade an euch vollende und damit ihr euch vielleicht werdet rechtleiten lassen. |
| Russian 150: | Откуда бы ты ни вышел, обращай лицо в сторону Заповедной мечети. Где бы вы ни оказались, обращайте ваши лица в ее сторону, чтобы у людей, если только они не беззаконники, не было довода против вас. Не бойтесь их, а бойтесь Меня, чтобы Я довел до конца Мою милость к вам. Быть может, вы последуете прямым путем. |
