| 1 | يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْأَنفَالِ ۖ قُلِ الْأَنفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَصْلِحُوا ذَاتَ بَيْنِكُمْ ۖ وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ |
| Transliteration 1: | Yasaloonaka AAani alanfali quli alanfalu lillahi waalrrasooli faittaqoo Allaha waaslihoo thata baynikum waateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu in kuntum mumineena |
| Yusuf Ali 1: | They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger. So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe." |
| Shakir 1: | They ask you about the windfalls. Say: The windfalls are for Allah and the Messenger. So be careful of (your duty to) Allah and set aright matters of your difference, and obey Allah and His Messenger if you are believers. |
| Pickthal 1: | They ask thee (O Muhammad) of the spoils of war. Say: The spoils of war belong to Allah and the messenger, so keep your duty to Allah, and adjust the matter of your difference, and obey Allah and His messenger, if ye are (true) believers. |

Katakanlah: "Harta rampasan perang itu kepunyaan Allah dan Rasul, sebab itu bertakwalah kepada Allah dan perbaikilah perhubungan di antara sesamamu, dan ta'atlah kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya jika kamu adalah orang-orang yang beriman". |

| 2 | إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ |
| Transliteration 2: | Innama almuminoona allatheena itha thukira Allahu wajilat quloobuhum waitha tuliyat AAalayhim ayatuhu zadathum eemanan waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona |
| Yusuf Ali 2: | For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord; |
| Shakir 2: | Those only are believers whose hearts become full of fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His communications are recited to them they increase them in faith, and in their Lord do they trust. |
| Pickthal 2: | They only are the (true) believers whose hearts feel fear when Allah is mentioned, and when His revelations are recited unto them they increase their faith, and who trust in their Lord; |
| Mohsin Khan: 2: | The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur'an) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone); |

| Transliteration 3: | Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wamimma razaqnahum yunfiqoona |
| Yusuf Ali 3: | Who establish regular prayers and spend (freely) out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance: |
| Shakir 3: | Those who keep up prayer and spend (benevolently) out of what We have given them. |
| Pickthal 3: | Who establish worship and spend of that We have bestowed on them. |
| Mohsin Khan: 3: | Who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and spend out of that We have provided them. |

| 4 | أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَّهُمْ دَرَجَاتٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 4: | Olaika humu almuminoona haqqan lahum darajatun AAinda rabbihim wamaghfiratun warizqun kareemun |
| Yusuf Ali 4: | Such in truth are the believers: they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous sustenance: |
| Shakir 4: | These are the believers in truth; they shall have from their Lord exalted grades and forgiveness and an honorable sustenance. |
| Pickthal 4: | Those are they who are in truth believers. For them are grades (of honour) with their Lord, and pardon, and a bountiful provision. |
| Mohsin Khan: 4: | It is they who are the believers in truth. For them are grades of dignity with their Lord, and Forgiveness and a generous provision (Paradise). |

| 5 | كَمَا أَخْرَجَكَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَيْتِكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَكَارِهُونَ |
| Transliteration 5: | Kama akhrajaka rabbuka min baytika bialhaqqi wainna fareeqan mina almumineena lakarihoona |
| Yusuf Ali 5: | Just as thy Lord ordered thee out of thy house in truth, even though a party among the Believers disliked it, |
| Shakir 5: | Even as your Lord caused you to go forth from your house with the truth, though a party of the believers were surely averse; |
| Pickthal 5: | Even as thy Lord caused thee (Muhammad) to go forth from thy home with the Truth, and lo! a party of the believers were averse (to it). |
| Mohsin Khan: 5: | As your Lord caused you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to go out from your home with the truth; and verily, a party among the believers disliked it, |

| 6 | يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَمَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Transliteration 6: | Yujadiloonaka fee alhaqqi baAAda ma tabayyana kaannama yusaqoona ila almawti wahum yanthuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 6: | Disputing with thee concerning the truth after it was made manifest, as if they were being driven to death and they (actually) saw it. |
| Shakir 6: | They disputed with you about the truth after it had become clear, (and they went forth) as if they were being driven to death while they saw (it). |
| Pickthal 6: | Disputing with thee of the Truth after it had been made manifest, as if they were being driven to death visible. |
| Mohsin Khan: 6: | Disputing with you concerning the truth after it was made manifest, as if they were being driven to death, while they were looking (at it). |

| 7 | وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ اللَّهُ إِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ الشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 7: | Waith yaAAidukumu Allahu ihda alttaifatayni annaha lakum watawaddoona anna ghayra thati alshshawkati takoonu lakum wayureedu Allahu an yuhiqqa alhaqqa bikalimatihi wayaqtaAAa dabira alkafireena |
| Yusuf Ali 7: | Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;- |
| Shakir 7: | And when Allah promised you one of the two parties that it shall be yours and you loved that the one not armed should he yours and Allah desired to manifest the truth of what was true by His words and to cut off the root of the unbelievers. |
| Pickthal 7: | And when Allah promised you one of the two bands (of the enemy) that it should be yours, and ye longed that other than the armed one might be yours. And Allah willed that He should cause the Truth to triumph by His words, and cut the root of the disbelievers; |
| Mohsin Khan: 7: | And (remember) when Allah promised you (Muslims) one of the two parties (of the enemy i.e. either the army or the caravan) that it should be yours; you wished that the one not armed (the caravan) should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the truth by His Words and to cut off the roots of the disbelievers (i.e. in the battle of Badr). |

| Indonesian 7: | Dan (ingatlah), ketika Allah menjanjikan kepadamu bahwa salah satu dari dua golongan (yang kamu hadapi) adalah untukmu, sedang kamu menginginkan bahwa yang tidak mempunyai kekuatan senjatalah yang untukmu, dan Allah menghendaki untuk membenarkan yang benar dengan ayat-ayat-Nya dan memusnahkan orang-orang kafir, |
| Melayu 7: | Dan (ingatlah) ketika Allah menjanjikan kepada kamu salah satu dari dua angkatan, menjadi untuk kamu (menghadapinya), sedang kamu suka kiranya (angkatan perniagaan) bukan angkatan (perang) yang mempunyai kekuatan itu yang dijadikan untuk kamu (menghadapinya). Padahal Allah menghendaki untuk menetapkan yang benar (agama Islam) dengan Kalimah-kalimahNya dan untuk membinasakan kaum yang kafir seluruhnya; |
| German 7: | Und damals verhieß Allah euch von einer der beiden Scharen, sie solle euch zufallen, und ihr wünschtet, daß diejenige ohne Kampfkraft für euch bestimmt sei; Allah aber will, daß die Wahrheit durch Seine Worte vollbracht werde und daß die Wurzel der Ungläubigen ausgerottet werde, |

| 8 | لِيُحِقَّ الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلَ الْبَاطِلَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُجْرِمُونَ |
| Transliteration 8: | Liyuhiqqa alhaqqa wayubtila albatila walaw kariha almujrimoona |
| Yusuf Ali 8: | That He might justify Truth and prove Falsehood false, distasteful though it be to those in guilt. |
| Shakir 8: | That He may manifest the truth of what was true and show the falsehood of what was false, though the guilty disliked. |
| Pickthal 8: | That He might cause the Truth to triumph and bring vanity to naught, however much the guilty might oppose; |
| Mohsin Khan: 8: | That He might cause the truth to triumph and bring falsehood to nothing, even though the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hate it. |

| 9 | إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُم بِأَلْفٍ مِّنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ |
| Transliteration 9: | Ith tastagheethoona rabbakum faistajaba lakum annee mumiddukum bialfin mina almalaikati murdifeena |
| Yusuf Ali 9: | Remember ye implored the assistance of your Lord, and He answered you: "I will assist you with a thousand of the angels, ranks on ranks." |
| Shakir 9: | When you sought aid from your Lord, so He answered you: I will assist you with a thousand of the angels following one another. |
| Pickthal 9: | When ye sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): I will help you with a thousand of the angels, rank on rank. |
| Mohsin Khan: 9: | (Remember) when you sought help of your Lord and He answered you (saying): "I will help you with a thousand of the angels each behind the other (following one another) in succession." |
| French 9: | (Et rappelez-vous) le moment où vous imploriez le secours de votre Seigneur et qu'Il vous exauça aussitòt: ‹Je vais vous aider d'un millier d'Anges déferlant les uns à la suite des autres. |
| Spanish 9: | Cuando pedisteis auxilio a vuestro Señor y Él os escuchó: "Os reforzaré con mil ángeles uno tras otro". |
| Indonesian 9: | (Ingatlah), ketika kamu memohon pertolongan kepada Tuhanmu, lalu diperkenankan-Nya bagimu: "Sesungguhnya Aku akan mendatangkan bala bantuan kepadamu dengan seribu malaikat yang datang berturut-turut". |

| Transliteration 10: | Wama jaAAalahu Allahu illa bushra walitatmainna bihi quloobukum wama alnnasru illa min AAindi Allahi inna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun |
| Yusuf Ali 10: | Allah made it but a message of hope, and an assurance to your hearts: (in any case) there is no help except from Allah. and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. |

| Transliteration 11: | Ith yughashsheekumu alnnuAAasa amanatan minhu wayunazzilu AAalaykum mina alssamai maan liyutahhirakum bihi wayuthhiba AAankum rijza alshshaytani waliyarbita AAala quloobikum wayuthabbita bihi alaqdama |
| Yusuf Ali 11: | Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith. |
| Shakir 11: | When He caused calm to fall on you as a security from Him and sent down upon you water from the cloud that He might thereby purify you, and take away from you the uncleanness of the Shaitan, and that He might fortify your hearts and steady (your) footsteps thereby. |

| Transliteration 12: | Ith yoohee rabbuka ila almalaikati annee maAAakum fathabbitoo allatheena amanoo saolqee fee quloobi allatheena kafaroo alrruAAba faidriboo fawqa alaAAnaqi waidriboo minhum kulla bananin |
| Yusuf Ali 12: | Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." |
| Shakir 12: | When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them. |

| 13 | ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ شَاقُّوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ ۚ وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Transliteration 13: | Thalika biannahum shaqqoo Allaha warasoolahu waman yushaqiqi Allaha warasoolahu fainna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi |
| Yusuf Ali 13: | This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger. If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. |
| Shakir 13: | This is because they acted adversely to Allah and His Messenger; and whoever acts adversely to Allah and His Messenger-- then surely Allah is severe in requiting (evil). |
| Pickthal 13: | That is because they opposed Allah and His messenger. Whoso opposeth Allah and His messenger, (for him) lo! Allah is severe in punishment. |

| Yusuf Ali 14: | Thus (will it be said): "Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire." |

| Yusuf Ali 15: | O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them. |
| Shakir 15: | O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them. |
| Pickthal 15: | O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. |

| Transliteration 16: | Waman yuwallihim yawmaithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fiatin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wamawahu jahannamu wabisa almaseeru |
| Yusuf Ali 16: | If any do turn his back to them on such a day - unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)! |
| Shakir 16: | And whoever shall turn his back to them on that day-- unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company-- then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah's wrath, and his abode is hell; and an evil destination shall it be. |
| Pickthal 16: | Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless manoeuvring for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end. |
| Mohsin Khan: 16: | And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allah. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination! |

Dan amat buruklah tempat kembalinya. |
| Melayu 16: | Dan sesiapa berpaling undur dari menentang mereka pada ketika itu kecuali dia bergerak ke arah lain (untuk menjalankan tipu muslihat) peperangan atau hendak menyatukan diri dengan pasukan yang lain, maka sesungguhnya dia tetaplah mendapat kemurkaan dari Allah dan tempatnya ialah Neraka Jahannam; sedang Neraka Jahannam ialah seburuk-buruk tempat kembali. |
| German 16: | Und derjenige, der ihnen an solch einem Tage den Rücken kehrt, es sei denn, er schwenke zur Schlacht oder zum Anschluß an einen Trupp ab, der lädt wahrlich Allahs Zorn auf sich, und seine Herberge soll Dschahannam sein; und schlimm ist das Ende! |
| Russian 16: | Те, которые в такой день повернутся спиной к неверующим, кроме тех, кто разворачивается для боя или для присоединения с отрядом, навлекут на себя гнев Аллаха. Их пристанищем будет Геенна. Как же скверно это место прибытия! |

| Urdu 16: | اور جو کوئی اس دن ان سے پیٹھ پھیرے گا مگر یہ کہ لڑائی کا ہنر کرتا ہو یا فوج میں جا ملتا ہو سو وہ الله کا غضب لے کر پھرا اور اس کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے اور بہت برا ٹھکانا ہے |
| 17 | فَلَمْ تَقْتُلُوهُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَتَلَهُمْ ۚ وَمَا رَمَيْتَ إِذْ رَمَيْتَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ رَمَىٰ ۚ وَلِيُبْلِيَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْهُ بَلَاءً حَسَنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 17: | Falam taqtuloohum walakinna Allaha qatalahum wama ramayta ith ramayta walakinna Allaha rama waliyubliya almumineena minhu balaan hasanan inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun |
| Yusuf Ali 17: | It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah. when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah.s: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself: for Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |
| Shakir 17: | So you did not slay them, but it was Allah Who slew them, and you did not smite when you smote (the enemy), but it was Allah Who smote, and that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing. |
| Pickthal 17: | Ye (Muslims) slew them not, but Allah slew them. And thou (Muhammad) threwest not when thou didst throw, but Allah threw, that He might test the believers by a fair test from Him. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower. |

| 18 | ذَٰلِكُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مُوهِنُ كَيْدِ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 18: | Thalikum waanna Allaha moohinu kaydi alkafireena |
| Yusuf Ali 18: | That, and also because Allah is He Who makes feeble the plans and stratagem of the Unbelievers. |
| Shakir 18: | This, and that Allah is the weakener of the struggle of the unbelievers. |
| Pickthal 18: | That (is the case); and (know) that Allah (it is) Who maketh weak the plan of disbelievers. |
| Mohsin Khan: 18: | This (is the fact) and surely, Allah weakens the deceitful plots of the disbelievers. |

| 19 | إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ ۖ وَإِن تَنتَهُوا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَعُودُوا نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Transliteration 19: | In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumu alfathu wain tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wain taAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fiatukum shayan walaw kathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almumineena |
| Yusuf Ali 19: | (O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe! |
| Shakir 19: | If you demanded a judgment, the judgment has then indeed come to you; and if you desist, it will be better for you; and if you turn back (to fight), We (too) shall turn back, and your forces shall avail you nothing, though they may be many, and (know) that Allah is with the believers. |
| Pickthal 19: | (O Qureysh!) If ye sought a judgment, now hath the judgment come unto you. And if ye cease (from persecuting the believers) it will be better for you, but if ye return (to the attack) We also shall return. | Indonesian 19: | Jika kamu (orang-orang musyrikin) mencari keputusan, maka telah datang keputusan kepadamu; dan jika kamu berhenti; maka itulah yang lebih baik bagimu; dan jika kamu kembali , niscaya Kami kembali (pula) ; dan angkatan perangmu sekali-kali tidak akan dapat menolak dari kamu sesuatu bahayapun, biarpun dia banyak dan sesungguhnya Allah beserta orang-orang yang beriman. |

Und wenn ihr absteht, so ist es besser für euch; kehrt ihr jedoch (zur Feindseligkeit) zurück, werden auch Wir (zu ihr) zurückkehren, und eure Menge soll euch nichts nützen, so zahlreich sie auch sein mag; denn (wisset), daß Allah mit den Gläubigen ist. |

| Yusuf Ali 22: | For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not. |
| Shakir 22: | Surely the vilest of animals, in Allah's sight, are the deaf, the dumb, who do not understand. |
| Pickthal 22: | Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the deaf, the dumb, who have no sense. |

| Transliteration 23: | Walaw AAalima Allahu feehim khayran laasmaAAahum walaw asmaAAahum latawallaw wahum muAAridoona |
| Yusuf Ali 23: | If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). |
| Shakir 23: | And if Allah had known any good in them He would have made them hear, and if He makes them hear they would turn back while they withdraw. |
| Pickthal 23: | Had Allah known of any good in them He would have made them hear, but had He made them hear they would have turned away, averse. |

| 24 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ |
| Transliteration 24: | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo istajeeboo lillahi walilrrasooli itha daAAakum lima yuhyeekum waiAAlamoo anna Allaha yahoolu bayna almari waqalbihi waannahu ilayhi tuhsharoona |
| Yusuf Ali 24: | O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. |
| Shakir 24: | O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be gathered. |
| Pickthal 24: | O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. |

| 25 | وَاتَّقُوا فِتْنَةً لَّا تُصِيبَنَّ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنكُمْ خَاصَّةً ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Transliteration 25: | Waittaqoo fitnatan la tuseebanna allatheena thalamoo minkum khassatan waiAAlamoo anna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqabi |
| Yusuf Ali 25: | And fear tumult or oppression, which affecteth not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong: and know that Allah is strict in punishment. |
| Shakir 25: | And fear an affliction which may not smite those of you in particular who are unjust; and know that Allah is severe in requiting (evil). |
| Pickthal 25: | And guard yourselves against a chastisement which cannot fall exclusively on those of you who are wrong-doers, and know that Allah is severe in punishment. |
| Mohsin Khan: 25: | And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allah is Severe in punishment. |

| Indonesian 25: | Dan peliharalah dirimu daripada siksaan yang tidak khusus menimpa orang-orang yang zalim saja di antara kamu. Dan ketahuilah bahwa Allah amat keras siksaan-Nya. |
| Melayu 25: | Dan jagalah diri kamu daripada (berlakunya) dosa (yang membawa bala bencana) yang bukan sahaja akan menimpa orang-orang yang zalim di antara kamu secara khusus (tetapi akan menimpa kamu secara umum) dan ketahuilah bahawa Allah Maha berat azab seksaNya. |
| German 25: | Und hütet euch vor einer Drangsal, die gewiß nicht bloß die unter euch treffen wird, die Unrecht getan haben. Und wisset, daß Allah streng im Strafen ist. |
| Russian 25: | Бойтесь искушения, которое поразит не только тех из вас, кто был несправедлив. И знайте, что Аллах суров в наказании. |
| Bosnian 25: | I izbjegavajte ono što će dovesti do smutnje koja neće pogoditi samo one među vama koji su krivi, i znajte da Allah strašno kažnjava. |
| Urdu 25: | اور تم اس فتنہ سے بچتے رہو جو تم میں سے خاص ظالموں پر ہی نہ پڑے گا اور جان لو کہ بے شک الله سخت عذاب کرنے والا ہے |
| 26 | وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُّسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَن يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُم بِنَصْرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ |
| Transliteration 26: | Waothkuroo ith antum qaleelun mustadAAafoona fee alardi takhafoona an yatakhattafakumu alnnasu faawakum waayyadakum binasrihi warazaqakum mina alttayyibati laAAallakum tashkuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 26: | Call to mind when ye were a small (band), despised through the land, and afraid that men might despoil and kidnap you; But He provided a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with His aid, and gave you Good things for sustenance: that ye might be grateful. |
| Shakir 26: | And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. |
| Pickthal 26: | And remember, when ye were few and reckoned feeble in the land, and were in fear lest men should extirpate you, how He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and made provision of good things for you, that haply ye might be thankful. |
| Mohsin Khan: 26: | And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. |

| Indonesian 26: | Dan ingatlah (hai para muhajirin) ketika kamu masih berjumlah sedikit, lagi tertindas di muka bumi (Mekah), kamu takut orang-orang (Mekah) akan menculik kamu, maka Allah memberi kamu tempat menetap (Madinah) dan dijadikan-Nya kamu kuat dengan pertolongan-Nya dan diberi-Nya kamu rezki dari yang baik-baik agar kamu bersyukur. |
| Melayu 26: | Dan ingatlah ketika kamu sedikit bilangannya serta tertindas di bumi, kamu takut orang-orang menangkap dan melarikan kamu, maka Allah memberi kamu tempat bermustautin dan diperkuatkanNya kamu dengan pertolonganNya, serta dikurniakanNya kamu dari rezeki yang baik-baik, supaya kamu bersyukur. |
| German 26: | Und denkt daran, wie wenige ihr waret, im Land als schwach galtet, in Furcht lebtet, die Leute könnten euch hinwegraffen: Er aber beschirmte euch und stärkte euch durch Seine Hilfe und versorgte euch mit guten Dingen, auf daß ihr dankbar sein möget. |
| Russian 26: | Помните, что вы были малочисленны и считались слабыми на земле. Вы опасались, что люди схватят вас, но Он дал вам убежище, подкрепил вас Своей помощью и наделил вас благами, чтобы вы были благодарны. |
| Bosnian 26: | I sjetite se kada vas je bilo malo, kad ste na Zemlji bili potlačeni - bojali ste se da vas ljudi ne pohvataju, pa vam je On sklonište dao i Svojom pomoći vas pomogao i plijenom vas opskrbio da biste bili zahvalni. |
| Urdu 26: | اور یاد کرو جس وقت تم تھوڑے تھے ملک میں کمزور سمجھے جاتے تھے تم ڈرتے تھے کہ لوگ تمہیں اچک لیں پھر اس نے تمہیں ٹھکانا بنا دیا اور اپنی مدد سے تمہیں قوت دی اور تمہیں ستھری چیزوں سے رزق دیاتاکہ تم شکر کرو |
| 27 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 27: | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la takhoonoo Allaha waalrrasoola watakhoonoo amanatikum waantum taAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 27: | O ye that believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you. |
| Shakir 27: | O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Messenger, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. |

| Transliteration 28: | WaiAAlamoo annama amwalukum waawladukum fitnatun waanna Allaha AAindahu ajrun AAatheemun |
| Yusuf Ali 28: | And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward. |
| Shakir 28: | And know that your property and your children are a temptation, and that Allah is He with Whom there is a mighty reward. |

| 29 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّكُمْ فُرْقَانًا وَيُكَفِّرْ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ |
| Transliteration 29: | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in tattaqoo Allaha yajAAal lakum furqanan wayukaffir AAankum sayyiatikum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemi |
| Yusuf Ali 29: | O ye who believe! if ye fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion (to judge between right and wrong), remove from you (all) evil (that may afflict) you, and forgive you: for Allah is the Lord of grace unbounded. |
| Shakir 29: | O you who believe! If you are careful of (your duty to) Allah, He will grant you a distinction and do away with your evils and forgive you; and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. |
| Pickthal 29: | O ye who believe! If ye keep your duty to Allah, He will give you discrimination (between right and wrong) and will rid you of your evil thoughts and deeds, and will forgive you. Allah is of Infinite Bounty. |

If you obey and fear Allah, He will grant you Furqan [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you; and Allah is the Owner of the Great Bounty. |

| Russian 29: | О те, которые уверовали! Если вы будете бояться Аллаха, то Он одарит вас способностью различать истину и ложь, отпустит вам ваши прегрешения и простит вас. Воистину, Аллах обладает великой милостью. |
| Bosnian 29: | O vjernici, ako se budete Allaha bojali, On će vam sposobnost darovati pa ćete istinu od neistine moći rastaviti i preko ružnih postupaka vaših će preći i oprostiti vam. - A Allahova dobrota je neizmjerna. |

| 30 | وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ ۚ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 30: | Waith yamkuru bika allatheena kafaroo liyuthbitooka aw yaqtulooka aw yukhrijooka wayamkuroona wayamkuru Allahu waAllahu khayru almakireena |
| Yusuf Ali 30: | Remember how the Unbelievers plotted against thee, to keep thee in bonds, or slay thee, or get thee out (of thy home). They plot and plan, and Allah too plans; but the best of planners is Allah. |
| Shakir 30: | And when those who disbelieved devised plans against you that they might confine you or slay you or drive you away; and they devised plans and Allah too had arranged a plan; and Allah is the best of planners. |
| Pickthal 30: | And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters. |
| Mohsin Khan: 30: | And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allah too was plotting; and Allah is the Best of those who plot. |

| Melayu 30: | Dan ingatlah (wahai Muhammad), ketika orang-orang kafir musyrik (Mekah) menjalankan tipu daya terhadapmu untuk menahanmu atau membunuhmu atau mengusirmu. Mereka menjalankan tipu daya dan Allah menggagalkan tipu daya (mereka), kerana Allah sebaik-baik yang menggagalkan tipu daya. |
| German 30: | Und damals schmiedeten die Ungläubigen gegen dich Pläne, dich gefangen zu nehmen oder dich zu ermorden oder dich zu vertreiben. Sie schmiedeten Pläne, (aber) auch Allah schmiedete Pläne, und Allah ist der beste Planschmied. |
| Russian 30: | Вот неверующие ухищрялись, чтобы заточить, убить или изгнать тебя. Они хитрили, и Аллах хитрил, а ведь Аллах – Наилучший из хитрецов. |

| 31 | وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا قَالُوا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَقُلْنَا مِثْلَ هَـٰذَا ۙ إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Transliteration 31: | Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna qaloo qad samiAAna law nashao laqulna mithla hatha in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena |
| Yusuf Ali 31: | When Our Signs are rehearsed to them, they say: "We have heard this (before): if we wished, we could say (words) like these: these are nothing but tales of the ancients." |
| Shakir 31: | And when Our communications are recited to them, they say: We have heard indeed; if we pleased we could say the like of it; this is nothing but the stories of the ancients. |
| Pickthal 31: | And when Our revelations are recited unto them they say: We have heard. If we wish we can speak the like of this. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. |
| Mohsin Khan: 31: | And when Our Verses (of the Qur'an) are recited to them, they say: "We have heard (the Qur'an); if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients." |

| Indonesian 31: | Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami, mereka berkata: "Sesungguhnya kami telah mendengar (ayat-ayat yang seperti ini), kalau kami menghendaki niscaya kami dapat membacakan yang seperti ini, (Al Qur'an) ini tidak lain hanyalah dongengan-dongengan orang-orang purbakala". |
| Melayu 31: | Dan apabila dibacakan kepada mereka ayat-ayat Kami, mereka berkata: Sesungguhnya kami telah mendengarnya. Kalau kami mahu, nescaya kami dapat mengatakan (kata-kata) seperti (Al-Quran) ini. (Al-Quran) ini tidak lain hanyalah cerita cerita dongeng orang-orang dahulu kala. |
| German 31: | "Und wenn ihnen Unsere Verse verlesen werden, sagen sie: ""Wir haben es gehört. Wollten wir es, könnten wir gewiß Derartiges äußern; denn das sind ja Fabeln der Früheren."" |
| Russian 31: | Когда им читают Наши аяты, они говорят: «Мы уже слышали это. Если мы захотим, то сочиним нечто подобное. Ведь это – всего лишь сказки древних народов». |
| Bosnian 31: | Kada im se riječi Naše kazuju, govore: "Već smo čuli! Da hoćemo, i mi bismo tako nešto rekli; to su samo izmišljotine naroda drevnih." |
| Urdu 31: | اور جب ان کے سامنے ہماری آیتیں پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے سن لیا اور اگر ہم چاہیں تو اس کے برابر ہم بھی کہہ دیں اس میں پہلو ں کے قصے کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں |
| 32 | وَإِذْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ إِن كَانَ هَـٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِندِكَ فَأَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ |
| Transliteration 32: | Waith qaloo allahumma in kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtir AAalayna hijaratan mina alssamai awi itina biAAathabin aleemin |
| Yusuf Ali 32: | Remember how they said: "O Allah if this is indeed the Truth from Thee, rain down on us a shower of stones form the sky, or send us a grievous penalty." |
| Shakir 32: | And when they said: O Allah! if this is the truth from Thee, then rain upon us stones from heaven or inflict on us a painful punishment. |
| Pickthal 32: | And when they said: O Allah! If this be indeed the truth from Thee, then rain down stones on us or bring on us some painful doom! |
| Mohsin Khan: 32: | And (remember) when they said: "O Allah! If this (the Qur'an) is indeed the truth (revealed) from You, then rain down stones on us from the sky or bring on us a painful torment." |

| Melayu 32: | Dan (ingatlah) ketika mereka (kaum musyrik Mekah) berkata: Wahai Tuhan kami! Jika betul (Al-Quran) itu ialah yang benar dari sisiMu, maka hujanilah kami dengan batu dari langit atau datangkanlah kepada kami azab seksa yang tidak terperi sakitnya. |
| German 32: | ""Und da sagten sie: ""O Allah, wenn dies wirklich die Wahrheit von Dir ist, dann laß Steine vom Himmel auf uns niederregnen oder bringe eine schmerzliche Strafe auf uns herab."" |
| Russian 32: | Вот они сказали: «О Аллах! Если это является истиной от Тебя, то обрушь на нас камни с неба или же подвергни нас мучительным страданиям». |

| 33 | وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ |
| Transliteration 33: | Wama kana Allahu liyuAAaththibahum waanta feehim wama kana Allahu muAAaththibahum wahum yastaghfiroona |
| Yusuf Ali 33: | But Allah was not going to send them a penalty whilst thou wast amongst them; nor was He going to send it whilst they could ask for pardon. |
| Shakir 33: | But Allah was not going to chastise them while you were among them, nor is Allah going to chastise them while yet they ask for forgiveness. |
| Pickthal 33: | But Allah would not punish them while thou wast with them, nor will He punish them while they seek forgiveness. |
| Mohsin Khan: 33: | And Allah would not punish them while you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allah's) Forgiveness. |

| 34 | وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلَّا يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُوا أَوْلِيَاءَهُ ۚ إِنْ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Transliteration 34: | Wama lahum alla yuAAaththibahumu Allahu wahum yasuddoona AAani almasjidi alharami wama kanoo awliyaahu in awliyaohu illa almuttaqoona walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona |
| Yusuf Ali 34: | But what plea have they that Allah should not punish them, when they keep out (men) from the sacred Mosque - and they are not its guardians? No men can be its guardians except the righteous; but most of them do not understand. |
| Shakir 34: | And what (excuse) have they that Allah should not chastise them while they hinder (men) from the Sacred Mosque and they are not (fit to be) guardians of it; its guardians are only those who guard (against evil), but most of them do not know. |
| Pickthal 34: | What (plea) have they that Allah should not punish them, when they debar (His servants) from the Inviolable Place of Worship, though they are not its fitting guardians. Its fitting guardians are those only who keep their duty to Allah. But most of them know not. |
| Mohsin Khan: 34: | And why should not Allah punish them while they hinder (men) from Al-Masjid-Al-Haram, and they are not its guardians? None can be its guardians except Al-Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2:2), but most of them know not. |

| Transliteration 35: | Wama kana salatuhum AAinda albayti illa mukaan watasdiyatan fathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroona |
| Yusuf Ali 35: | Their prayer at the House (of Allah. is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands: (Its only answer can be), "Taste ye the penalty because ye blasphemed." |

| Transliteration 36: | Inna allatheena kafaroo yunfiqoona amwalahum liyasuddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi fasayunfiqoonaha thumma takoonu AAalayhim hasratan thumma yughlaboona waallatheena kafaroo ila jahannama yuhsharoona |
| Yusuf Ali 36: | The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;- |
| Shakir 36: | Surely those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (people) from the way of Allah; so they shall spend it, then it shall be to them an intense regret, then they shall be overcome; and those who disbelieve shall be driven together to hell. |

| 37 | لِيَمِيزَ اللَّهُ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ الْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَجْعَلَهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ |
| Transliteration 37: | Liyameeza Allahu alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wayajAAala alkhabeetha baAAdahu AAala baAAdin fayarkumahu jameeAAan fayajAAalahu fee jahannama olaika humu alkhasiroona |
| Yusuf Ali 37: | In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost. |
| Shakir 37: | That Allah might separate the impure from the good, and put the impure, some of it upon the other, and pile it up together, then cast it into hell; these it is that are the losers. |
| Pickthal 37: | That Allah may separate the wicked from the good, The wicked will He place piece upon piece, and heap them all together, and consign them unto hell. Such verily are the losers. |
| Mohsin Khan: 37: | In order that Allah may distinguish the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) from the good (believers of Islamic Monotheism and doers of righteous deeds), and put the wicked (disbelievers, polytheists and doers of evil deeds) one over another, heap them together and cast them into Hell. Those! it is they who are the losers. |

| Bosnian 37: | da bi Allah dobre od nevaljalih odvojio i da bi nevaljale jedne na druge naslagao, a onda ih sve u gomilu zbio i u Džehennem bacio. Oni će doista biti izgubljeni. |

| 38 | قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَنتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُم مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِن يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Transliteration 38: | Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahoo yughfar lahum ma qad salafa wain yaAAoodoo faqad madat sunnatu alawwaleena |
| Yusuf Ali 38: | Say to the Unbelievers, if (now) they desist (from Unbelief), their past would be forgiven them; but if they persist, the punishment of those before them is already (a matter of warning for them). |
| Shakir 38: | Say to those who disbelieve, if they desist, that which is past shall be forgiven to them; and if they return, then what happened to the ancients has already passed. |
| Pickthal 38: | Tell those who disbelieve that if they cease (from persecution of believers) that which is past will be forgiven them; but if they return (thereto) then the example of the men of old hath already gone (before them, for a warning). |

| 39 | وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ كُلُّهُ لِلَّهِ ۚ فَإِنِ انتَهَوْا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ |
| Transliteration 39: | Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi faini intahaw fainna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun |
| Yusuf Ali 39: | And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do. |
| Shakir 39: | And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do. |
| Pickthal 39: | And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah. But if they cease, then lo! Allah is Seer of what they do. |
| Mohsin Khan: 39: | And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism, i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world ]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do. |

| Indonesian 39: | Dan perangilah mereka, supaya jangan ada fitnah dan supaya agama itu semata-mata untuk Allah . Jika mereka berhenti (dari kekafiran), maka sesungguhnya Allah Maha Melihat apa yang mereka kerjakan. |
| Melayu 39: | Dan perangilah mereka sehingga tidak ada lagi fitnah dan (sehingga) menjadilah agama itu seluruhnya (bebas) bagi Allah semata-mata. Kemudian jika mereka berhenti (dari kekufurannya dan gangguannya, nescaya mereka diberikan balasan yang baik) kerana sesungguhnya Allah Maha Melihat akan apa yang mereka kerjakan. |
| German 39: | Und kämpft gegen sie, damit keine Verführung mehr stattfinden kann und (kämpft,) bis sämtliche Verehrung auf Allah allein gerichtet ist. Stehen sie jedoch (vom Unglauben) ab, dann, wahrlich, sieht Allah sehr wohl, was sie tun. |
| Russian 39: | Сражайтесь с ними, пока не исчезнет искушение и пока религия (поклонение) не будет полностью посвящена Аллаху. Если же они прекратят, то ведь Аллах видит то, что они совершают. |

| 40 | وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ |
| Transliteration 40: | Wain tawallaw faiAAlamoo anna Allaha mawlakum niAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru |
| Yusuf Ali 40: | If they refuse, be sure that Allah is your Protector - the best to protect and the best to help. |
| Shakir 40: | And if they turn back, then know that Allah is your Patron; most excellent is the Patron and most excellent the Helper. |
| Pickthal 40: | And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Befriender - a Transcendent Patron, a Transcendent Helper! |
| Mohsin Khan: 40: | And if they turn away, then know that Allah is your Maula (Patron, Lord, Protector and Supporter) - (what) an Excellent Maula and (what) an Excellent Helper! |

| 41 | ۞ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِي الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ إِن كُنتُمْ آمَنتُم بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا يَوْمَ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ |
| Transliteration 41: | WaiAAlamoo annama ghanimtum min shayin faanna lillahi khumusahu walilrrasooli walithee alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeni waibni alssabeeli in kuntum amantum biAllahi wama anzalna AAala AAabdina yawma alfurqani yawma iltaqa aljamAAani waAllahu AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |
| Yusuf Ali 41: | And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things. |
| Shakir 41: | And know that whatever thing you gain, a fifth of it is for Allah and for the Messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if you believe in Allah and in that which We revealed to Our servant, on the day of distinction, the day on which the two parties met; and Allah has power over all things. |
| Pickthal 41: | And know that whatever ye take as spoils of war, lo! a fifth thereof is for Allah, and for the messenger and for the kinsman (who hath need) and orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, if ye believe in Allah and that which We revealed unto Our slave on the Day of Discrimination, the day when the two armies met. And Allah is Able to do all things. |
| Mohsin Khan: 41: | And know that whatever of war-booty that you may gain, verily one-fifth (1/5th) of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger, and to the near relatives [of the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)], (and also) the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor) and the wayfarer, if you have believed in Allah and in that which We sent down to Our slave (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) on the Day of criterion (between right and wrong), the Day when the two forces met (the battle of Badr); And Allah is able to do all things. |

| Spanish 41: | Sabed que, si obtenéis algún botín un quinto corresponde a Alá, al Enviado y a sus parientes, a los huérfanos, a los pobres y al viajero, si creéis en Alá y en lo que hemos revelado a Nuestro siervo el día del Criterio, el día que se encontraron los dos ejércitos. Alá es omnipotente. |
| Indonesian 41: | Ketahuilah, sesungguhnya apa saja yang dapat kamu peroleh sebagai rampasan perang , maka sesungguhnya seperlima untuk Allah, Rasul, kerabat Rasul, anak-anak yatim, orang-orang miskin dan ibnusabil , jika kamu beriman kepada Allah dan kepada apa , yang Kami turunkan kepada hamba Kami (Muhammad) di hari Furqaan , yaitu di hari bertemunya dua pasukan. Dan Allah Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu. |
| Melayu 41: | Dan ketahuilah, bahawa apa sahaja yang kamu dapati sebagai harta rampasan perang, maka sesungguhnya satu perlimanya (dibahagikan) untuk (jalan) Allah dan untuk RasulNya dan untuk kerabat (Rasulullah) dan anak-anak yatim dan orang-orang miskin, serta ibnus-sabil (orang musafir yang keputusan), jika kamu beriman kepada Allah dan kepada apa yang telah diturunkan oleh Kami (Allah) kepada hamba Kami (Muhammad) pada Hari Al-Furqan, iaitu hari bertemunya dua angkatan tentera (Islam dan kafir, di medan perang Badar) dan (ingatlah) Allah Maha Kuasa atas tiap-tiap sesuatu. |
| German 41: | Und wisset, was immer ihr erbeuten möget, ein Fünftel davon gehört Allah und dem Gesandten und der Verwandtschaft und den Waisen und den Bedürftigen und dem Sohn des Weges, wenn ihr an Allah glaubt und an das, was Wir zu Unserem Diener niedersandten am Tage der Unterscheidung, dem Tage, an dem die beiden Heere zusammentrafen; und Allah hat Macht über alle Dinge. |

| 42 | إِذْ أَنتُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُم بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَىٰ وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنكُمْ ۚ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدتُّمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْمِيعَادِ ۙ وَلَـٰكِن لِّيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا لِّيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيَىٰ مَنْ حَيَّ عَن بَيِّنَةٍ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 42: | Ith antum bialAAudwati alddunya wahum bialAAudwati alquswa waalrrakbu asfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum laikhtalaftum fee almeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatin wayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wainna Allaha lasameeAAun AAaleemun |
| Yusuf Ali 42: | Remember ye were on the hither side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on lower ground than ye. Even if ye had made a mutual appointment to meet, ye would certainly have failed in the appointment: But (thus ye met), that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted; that those who died might die after a clear Sign (had been given), and those who lived might live after a Clear Sign (had been given). And verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |
| Shakir 42: | When you were on the nearer side (of the valley) and they were on the farthest side, while the caravan was in a lower place than you; and if you had mutually made an appointment, you would certainly have broken away from the appointment, but-- in order that Allah might bring about a matter which was to be done, that he who would perish might perish by clear proof, and he who would live might live by clear proof; and most surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing; |
| Pickthal 42: | When ye were on the near bank (of the valley) and they were on the yonder bank, and the caravan was below you (on the coast plain). And had ye trysted to meet one another ye surely would have failed to keep the tryst, but (it happened, as it did, without the forethought of either of you) that Allah might conclude a thing that must be done; that he who perished (on that day) might perish by a clear proof (of His Sovereignty) and he who survived might survive by a clear proof (of His Sovereignty). Lo! Allah in truth is Hearer, Knower. |
| Mohsin Khan: 42: | (And remember) when you (the Muslim army) were on the near side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on the ground lower than you. Even if you had made a mutual appointment to meet, you would certainly have failed in the appointment, but (you met) that Allah might accomplish a matter already ordained (in His Knowledge), so that those who were to be destroyed (for their rejecting the Faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who were to live (i.e. believers) might live after a clear evidence. And surely, Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower. |

Si hubierais intentado daros cita, no os habríais puesto de acuerdo sobre ella, pero para que Alá decidiera algo que debía hacerse. Para que, ante una prueba clara, pereciera quien debía perecer y, ante una prueba clara, sobreviviera quien debía sobrevivir. Alá todo lo oye, todo lo sabe. |
| Indonesian 42: | (Yaitu di hari) ketika kamu berada di pinggir lembah yang dekat dan mereka berada di pinggir lembah yang jauh sedang kafilah itu berada di bawah kamu. Sekiranya kamu mengadakan persetujuan (untuk menentukan hari pertempuran), pastilah kamu tidak sependapat dalam menentukan hari pertempuran itu, akan tetapi (Allah mempertemukan dua pasukan itu) agar Dia melakukan suatu urusan yang mesti dilaksanakan, yaitu agar orang yang binasa itu binasanya dengan keterangan yang nyata dan agar orang yang hidup itu hidupnya dengan keterangan yang nyata (pula) . Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mendengar lagi Maha Mengetahui, |
| Melayu 42: | (Iaitu) ketika kamu berada di tepi lembah yang dekat (ke Madinah) dan mereka (pihak musuh) berada di tepi lembah yang jauh (dari Madinah), sedang Kafilah (pembawa dagangan musuh) berada di tempat yang rendah dari tempat kamu (di tepi laut) dan kalaulah kamu berjanji (dengan mereka mengenai peperangan itu) nescaya kamu akan berselisih pada menentukan harinya. Akan tetapi (pertemuan angkatan kamu dengan angkatan mereka yang tidak disangka-sangka itu) ialah supaya Allah melakukan suatu perkara (kemenangan Islam) yang telah ditetapkan berlakunya, iaitu supaya orang (kafir musyrik) yang binasa itu, binasa dengan keterangan (yang membuktikan kesalahannya) dan supaya orang (Islam) yang hidup itu, hidup dengan keterangan (yang membuktikan kebenarannya); kerana sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mendengar, lagi Maha Mengetahui. |
| German 42: | (Damals,) als ihr auf dieser Seite (des Tales) waret und sie auf jener Seite und die Karawane tiefer war als ihr. Und hättet ihr etwas verabreden wollen, wäret ihr uneins über den Zeitpunkt gewesen. Doch (das Treffen wurde herbeigeführt), damit Allah die Sache herbeiführte, die geschehen sollte; und damit diejenigen, die (dabei) umkamen, auf Grund eines klaren Beweises umkämen, und diejenigen, die am Leben blieben, auf Grund eines klaren Beweises am Leben bleiben würden. Однако все произошло так, чтобы Аллах довел до конца дело, которое уже было свершившимся, дабы погиб тот, кто погиб при полной ясности, и дабы выжил тот, кто выжил при полной ясности. | 43 | إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلًا ۖ وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيرًا لَّفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَلَّمَ ۗ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ |
| Transliteration 43: | Ith yureekahumu Allahu fee manamika qaleelan walaw arakahum katheeran lafashiltum walatanazaAAtum fee alamri walakinna Allaha sallama innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori |
| Yusuf Ali 43: | Remember in thy dream Allah showed them to thee as few: if He had shown them to thee as many, ye would surely have been discouraged, and ye would surely have disputed in (your) decision; but Allah saved (you): for He knoweth well the (secrets) of (all) hearts. |
| Shakir 43: | When Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many you would certainly have become weak-hearted and you would have disputed about the matter, but Allah saved (you); surely He is the Knower of what is in the breasts. |

| Indonesian 43: | (yaitu) ketika Allah menampakkan mereka kepadamu di dalam mimpimu (berjumlah) sedikit. Dan sekiranya Allah memperlihatkan mereka kepada kamu (berjumlah) banyak tentu saja kamu menjadi gentar dan tentu saja kamu akan berbantah-bantahan dalam urusan itu, akan tetapi Allah telah menyelamatkan kamu. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui segala isi hati. |

| 44 | وَإِذْ يُرِيكُمُوهُمْ إِذِ الْتَقَيْتُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ قَلِيلًا وَيُقَلِّلُكُمْ فِي أَعْيُنِهِمْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللَّهُ أَمْرًا كَانَ مَفْعُولًا ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ |
| Transliteration 44: | Waith yureekumoohum ithi iltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihim liyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan waila Allahi turjaAAu alomooru |
| Yusuf Ali 44: | And remember when ye met, He showed them to you as few in your eyes, and He made you appear as contemptible in their eyes: that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted. For to Allah do all questions go back (for decision). |
| Shakir 44: | And when He showed them to you, when you met, as few in your eyes and He made you to appear little in their eyes, in order that Allah might bring about a matter which was to be done, and to Allah are all affairs returned. |
| Pickthal 44: | And when He made you (Muslims), when ye met (them), see them with your eyes as few, and lessened you in their eyes, (it was) that Allah might conclude a thing that must be done. Unto Allah all things are brought back. |

| Indonesian 44: | Dan ketika Allah menampakkan mereka kepada kamu sekalian, ketika kamu berjumpa dengan mereka berjumlah sedikit pada penglihatan matamu dan kamu ditampakkan-Nya berjumlah sedikit pada penglihatan mata mereka, karena Allah hendak melakukan suatu urusan yang mesti dilaksanakan. Dan hanya kepada Allah-lah dikembalikan segala urusan. |

| 45 | يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ فِئَةً فَاثْبُتُوا وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ |
| Transliteration 45: | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha laqeetum fiatan faothbutoo waothkuroo Allaha katheeran laAAallakum tuflihoona |
| Yusuf Ali 45: | O ye who believe! When ye meet a force, be firm, and call Allah in remembrance much (and often); that ye may prosper: |
| Shakir 45: | O you who believe! when you meet a party, then be firm, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful. |
| Pickthal 45: | O ye who believe! When ye meet an army, hold firm and think of Allah much, that ye may be successful. |
| Mohsin Khan: 45: | O you who believe! When you meet (an enemy) force, take a firm stand against them and remember the Name of Allah much (both with tongue and mind), so that you may be successful. |

| Urdu 45: | اے ایمان والو! جب کسی فوج سے ملو تو ثابت قدم رہو اور الله کو بہت یاد کرو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ |
| 46 | وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْ ۖ وَاصْبِرُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ |
| Transliteration 46: | WaateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu wala tanazaAAoo fatafshaloo watathhaba reehukum waisbiroo inna Allaha maAAa alssabireena |
| Yusuf Ali 46: | And obey Allah and His Messenger. and fall into no disputes, lest ye lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: For Allah is with those who patiently persevere: |
| Shakir 46: | And obey Allah and His Messenger and do not quarrel for then you will be weak in hearts and your power will depart, and be patient; surely Allah is with the patient. |

| 47 | وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِن دِيَارِهِم بَطَرًا وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ |
| Transliteration 47: | Wala takoonoo kaallatheena kharajoo min diyarihim bataran wariaa alnnasi wayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waAllahu bima yaAAmaloona muheetun |
| Yusuf Ali 47: | And be not like those who started from their homes insolently and to be seen of men, and to hinder (men) from the path of Allah. For Allah compasseth round about all that they do. |
| Shakir 47: | And be not like those who came forth from their homes in great exultation and to be seen of men, and (who) turn away from the way of Allah, and Allah comprehends what they do. |
| Pickthal 47: | Be not as those who came forth from their dwellings boastfully and to be seen of men, and debar (men) from the way of Allah, while Allah is surrounding all they do. |
| Mohsin Khan: 47: | And be not like those who come out of their homes boastfully and to be seen of men, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah; and Allah is Muhitun (encircling and thoroughly comprehending) all that they do. |

| Melayu 47: | Dan janganlah kamu menjadi seperti orang-orang yang keluar dari negerinya dengan berlagak sombong dan menunjuk-nunjuk (kekuatan mereka) kepada orang ramai (kerana hendak meminta dipuji), serta mereka pula menghalang manusia dari jalan Allah dan (ingatlah) Allah Maha Meliputi pengetahuanNya akan apa yang mereka kerjakan. |
| German 47: | Und seid nicht wie jene, die prahlerisch und, um von den Leuten gesehen zu werden, aus ihren Wohnstätten auszogen, und die von Allahs Weg abhalten. Und Allah umfaßt das, was sie tun. |
| Russian 47: | Не уподобляйтесь тем, которые горделиво вышли из своих домов, показывая себя перед людьми, и сбивали других с пути Аллаха. Аллах объемлет все, что они совершают. |
| Bosnian 47: | I ne budite kao oni koji su, da se pokažu svijetu, nadmeno iz grada svoga izišli da bi od Allahova puta odvraćali. A Allah dobro zna ono što oni rade. |

| 48 | وَإِذْ زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَقَالَ لَا غَالِبَ لَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَإِنِّي جَارٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَتِ الْفِئَتَانِ نَكَصَ عَلَىٰ عَقِبَيْهِ وَقَالَ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّنكُمْ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ |
| Transliteration 48: | Waith zayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum waqala la ghaliba lakumu alyawma mina alnnasi wainnee jarun lakum falamma taraati alfiatani nakasa AAala AAaqibayhi waqala innee bareeon minkum innee ara ma la tarawna innee akhafu Allaha waAllahu shadeedu alAAiqabi |
| Yusuf Ali 48: | Remember Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them, and said: "No one among men can overcome you this day, while I am near to you": But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he turned on his heels, and said: "Lo! I am clear of you; lo! I see what ye see not; Lo! I fear Allah. for Allah is strict in punishment." |
| Shakir 48: | And when the Shaitan made their works fair seeming to them, and said: No one can overcome you this day, and surely I am your protector: but when the two parties came in sight of each other he turned upon his heels, and said: Surely I am clear of you, surely I see what you do not see, surely I fear Allah; and Allah is severe in requiting (evil). |
| Pickthal 48: | And when Satan made their deeds seem fair to them and said: No-one of mankind can conquer you this day, for I am your protector. But when the armies came in sight of one another, he took flight, saying: Lo! I am guiltless of you. Lo! I see that which ye see not. Lo! I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in punishment. |
| Mohsin Khan: 48: | And (remember) when Shaitan (Satan) made their (evil) deeds seem fair to them and said, "No one of mankind can overcome you this Day (of the battle of Badr) and verily, I am your neighbour (for each and every help)." But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he ran away and said "Verily, I have nothing to do with you. Verily! I see what you see not. Verily! I fear Allah for Allah is Severe in punishment." |

| Indonesian 48: | Dan ketika syaitan menjadikan mereka memandang baik pekerjaan mereka dan mengatakan: "Tidak ada seorang manusiapun yang dapat menang terhadap kamu pada hari ini, dan sesungguhnya saya ini adalah pelindungmu". Maka tatkala kedua pasukan itu telah dapat saling lihat melihat (berhadapan), syaitan itu balik ke belakang seraya berkata: "Sesungguhnya saya berlepas diri daripada kamu; sesungguhnya saya dapat melihat apa yang kamu sekalian tidak dapat melihat; sesungguhnya saya takut kepada Allah". Dan Allah sangat keras siksa-Nya. |

Als jedoch die beiden Heerscharen einander ansichtig wurden, da wandte er sich auf seinen Fersen um und sagte: ""Ich habe nichts mit euch zu schaffen; ich sehe, was ihr nicht seht. Ich fürchte Allah; und Allah ist streng im Strafen."" |

| 49 | إِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ غَرَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ دِينُهُمْ ۗ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ |
| Transliteration 49: | Ith yaqoolu almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun gharra haolai deenuhum waman yatawakkal AAala Allahi fainna Allaha AAazeezun hakeemun |
| Yusuf Ali 49: | Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. |
| Shakir 49: | When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said: Their religion has deceived them; and whoever trusts in Allah, then surely Allah is Mighty, Wise. |
| Pickthal 49: | When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease said: Their religion hath deluded these. Whoso putteth his trust in Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise. |
| Mohsin Khan: 49: | When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was a disease (of disbelief) said: "These people (Muslims) are deceived by their religion." But whoever puts his trust in Allah, then surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise. |

| Melayu 49: | (Ingatlah) ketika orang-orang munafik dan orang-orang yang ada penyakit (syak) dalam hatinya berkata: Orang-orang (Islam) itu telah diperdayakan oleh agama mereka (sehingga mereka berani menentang kami yang lebih besar bilangannya). Dan (yang sebenarnya) sesiapa yang bertawakal kepada Allah (dengan sepenuh-penuh yakin, maka Allah akan menolongnya untuk mengalahkan musuh yang lebih besar bilangannya), kerana Allah Maha Kuasa, lagi Maha Bijaksana. |
| German 49: | ""Da sagten die Heuchler und diejenigen, in deren Herzen Krankheit war: ""Ihr Glaube hat diese da hochmütig gemacht."" Wer aber auf Allah vertraut - siehe, Allah ist Erhaben, Allweise. |

| Transliteration 50: | Walaw tara ith yatawaffa allatheena kafaroo almalaikatu yadriboona wujoohahum waadbarahum wathooqoo AAathaba alhareeqi |
| Yusuf Ali 50: | If thou couldst see, when the angels take the souls of the Unbelievers (at death), (How) they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the penalty of the blazing Fire- |
| Shakir 50: | And had you seen when the angels will cause to die those who disbelieve, smiting their faces and their backs, and (saying): Taste the punishment of burning. |
