1	أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ
Transliteration 1:	Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biashabi alfeeli
Yusuf Ali 1:	Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?
Shakir 1:	Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?
Pickthal 1:	Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant?
Mohsin Khan: 1:	Have you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) not seen how your Lord dealt with the owners of the Elephant? [The Elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah].

Spanish 1:	¿No has visto cómo obró tu Señor con los del elefante?

Melayu 1:	Tidakkah engkau mengetahui bagaimana Tuhanmu telah melakukan kepada angkatan tentera (yang dipimpin oleh pembawa) Gajah, (yang hendak meruntuhkan Kaabah)?
German 1:	Hast du nicht gesehen, wie dein Herr mit den Leuten des Elefanten verfahren ist?
Russian 1:	Разве ты не видел, что сделал твой Господь с владельцами слона?
Bosnian 1:	Zar nisi čuo šta je sa vlasnicima slona Gospodar tvoj uradio!
Urdu 1:	کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ آپ کے رب نے ہاتھی والوں سے کیا برتاؤ کیا
2	أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ
Transliteration 2:	Alam yajAAal kaydahum fee tadleelin
Yusuf Ali 2:	Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
Shakir 2:	Did He not cause their war to end in confusion,
Pickthal 2:	Did He not bring their stratagem to naught,
Mohsin Khan: 2:	Did He not make their plot go astray?
French 2:	N'a-t-Il pas rendu leur ruse complètement vaine?
Spanish 2:	¿No desbarató su artimaña
Indonesian 2:	Bukankah Dia telah menjadikan tipu daya mereka (untuk menghancurkan Ka'bah) itu sia-sia?,
Melayu 2:	Bukankah Tuhanmu telah menjadikan rancangan jahat mereka dalam keadaan yang rugi dan memusnahkan mereka?
German 2:	Hat Er nicht ihre List mißlingen lassen
Russian 2:	Разве Он не запутал их козни
Bosnian 2:	Zar lukavstvo njihovo nije omeo
Urdu 2:	کیا اس نے ان کی تدبیر کوبے کار نہیں بنا دیا تھا
3	وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
Transliteration 3:	Waarsala AAalayhim tayran ababeela
Yusuf Ali 3:	And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
Shakir 3:	And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,
Pickthal 3:	And send against them swarms of flying creatures,
Mohsin Khan: 3:	And He sent against them birds, in flocks,
French 3:	et envoyé sur eux des oiseaux par volées
Spanish 3:	y envió contra ellos bandadas de aves,
Indonesian 3:	Dan Dia mengirimkan kepada mereka burung yang berbondong-bondong,

German 3:	und Vögel in Scharen über sie gesandt,
Russian 3:	и не наслал на них птиц стаями?
Bosnian 3:	i protiv njih jata ptica poslao,
Urdu 3:	اور اس نے ان پر غول کے غول پرندے بھیجے
4	تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
Transliteration 4:	Tarmeehim bihijaratin min sijjeelin
Yusuf Ali 4:	Striking them with stones of baked clay.
Shakir 4:	Casting against them stones of baked clay,
Pickthal 4:	Which pelted them with stones of baked clay,
Mohsin Khan: 4:	Striking them with stones of Sijjil (baked clay).
French 4:	qui leur lançaient des pierres d'argile?
Spanish 4:	que descargaron sobre ellos piedras de arcilla,
Indonesian 4:	yang melempari mereka dengan batu (berasal) dari tanah yang terbakar,
Melayu 4:	Yang melontar mereka dengan batu-batu dari sejenis tanah yang dibakar keras;
German 4:	die sie mit brennenden Steinen bewarfen,
Russian 4:	Они бросали в них каменья из обожженной глины
Bosnian 4:	koje su na njih grumenje od gline pečene bacale,
Urdu 4:	جہاں پر پتھر کنکر کی قسم کے پھینکتے تھے
5	فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ
Transliteration 5:	FajaAAalahum kaAAasfin makoolin
Yusuf Ali 5:	Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.
Shakir 5:	So He rendered them like straw eaten up?
Pickthal 5:	And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)?
Mohsin Khan: 5:	And He made them like (an empty field of) stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle).
French 5:	Et Il les a rendus semblables à une paille mâchée.
Spanish 5:	dejándolos como espigas desgranadas?
Indonesian 5:	lalu Dia menjadikan mereka seperti daun-daun yang dimakan (ulat).
Melayu 5:	Lalu Dia menjadikan mereka hancur berkecai seperti daun-daun kayu yang dimakan ulat.
German 5:	und sie dadurch wie abgefressene Saat gemacht?
Russian 5:	и превратили их в подобие изъеденных иссохших злаковых листьев.
Bosnian 5:	pa ih On kao lišće koje su crvi istočili učinio?
